Continued from here for Anil
After the healing of the suspect Anil Hawkinshowever long that took
The criminal ward at the Black Forest Church's headquarters was a calmer place than it deserved to be. All was sterile and white and the only noises were the quiet whispers of healers and their assistants as they fixed up those brought in for questioning. Maggie had directed that Anil be put in a small private room on the ward for many of her own personal reasons. The Huntress wanted her prey and didn't want anyone else getting to the man before she had a chance to question him. And Maggie wasn't oblivious to his younger brother who was also unexplainably in Spain. By putting Anil in his own space he was more isolated and under more security. It wasn't the largest room but like every other criminal space in the Church it was protected against apparation and transformation.
Once she had been notified that the healers were done for now the woman had gone straight to do her interrogation. The clack of her heels on the clean floor was out of place in this quiet house of healing. The witch kept her face calm and presented her wand to the door to be admitted to Anil's room. There was no indication that she was in a hurry and wanted to be out bringing in her mark.
"Hello Mr. Hawkins." Maggie kept her voice devoid of emotion as she pulled up a chair next to his bedside. In her lap was a pile of files, the manilla color was stark against her clean black robes. The witch paused and let her eyes flit to the work the Healers of the Church had been doing on her witness. Such men and women were used to cleaning up those who had been mauled by the strength of lycans, drained and beaten by vampires, bitten by werewolves. Anil was fortunate to have come to a ward that dealt almost primarily in trauma.
Sitting back in her chair Maggie brought her eyes up to meet Anil's own. "Are you ready to tell me where you sent Roan? You know that I have less nice ways to ask and I would prefer to just have the information so I can let you leave."
