Well the Staff are all grown up. It has generally been assumed by most of the adults that they all live in the town in houses or can apparate (feasibly) to where they live. Just like how no Professor at a College actually lives on campus. The students get Common Rooms because they are...well, students, and thus have dormitories.

So yeah, staff don't use or need an office. It seemed there for adults to have their own place to post by themselves. People have decided that Drakkie and the Tunnel are NC-17, so they have plenty of places to hang.
Prefects get actual POWER. Then they get counted as staff and actually can bully students. So yeah, since we can see the bath is unloved, no reason to even have it.
But yeah......other opposition seems to be: "I remember back in the day when the person who owned that board used to be around. I liked that person. So we should leave a board because of a vague memory, which is irrelevant now."

I still think we should keep the Prefect's Bath. If nothing else. The place is a sign of privilege, even if those in the past never actually used it. I think it goes unused more due to lack of prefects and (when prefects are around) lack of activity on the site's part. If we can manage to stir up the site again, get some prefects, I'm sure it will be used.
I love that board. It should not be destroyed.
...Please.

Here's an idea, how about a staff lounge in the classrooms board instead of a staff residence. It gives a place for staff to hang out. The professors are entirely too antisocial anyway. While Anil was professor, he spoke to no one. Except Kat. Who was stalking him.
Considering that these people are working together, the fact that they never talk is completely unrealistic. They can co-miserate on grading papers or something. Plus students can stop by for whatever reason if the board is non passworded.
Prefects can use the lounge too. Have billiards or a gumball machine in there or something.
Since it seemed that, basically, Drakborough was described as being like.....around the grounds area of the school anyways...or whatever. It seems more logical that parts of the school are considered belonging to the area of the town than the town belonging to the grounds of the school.
Also, not enough people actually want to be professors to actually make it worth something and the only students we have are like....one of the millions of alts of other people, so I am kinda adverse to them ending up prefects...
So yeah, two boards are neat in theory but not in practicality.
I generally like what is going on though there's one thing I want to point out with Drak. You moved areas over there which is cool but we could probably use one or two more general areas just for the Town itself. Basically what's done there is we've taken the Drakborough board and just turned it into the Town Square, it's still only one board for really the town area.
I don't have a very strong opinion about the Professor areas/Prefect Bath. On one hand I don't think it's going to hurt us to keep them but I think if we do they're going to remain inactive. At the very least I think whatever is kept should be kept unblocked to everyone. It's more conducive to Roleplaying and doesn't just hide areas away. People don't really want to RP in areas that are hidden from the general population.
The rest of the stuff I think is awesome, some re-arranging will do us good.

Alright, alright, maybe I'm just letting my nostalgia for the Prefect's Bath get in the way of progress. Since it is probably not going to get used, I might as well just accept that it's time for it to go. ;_;
If we're going to completely revamp Drakborough, then Roan's right. This set-up doesn't just make Drakborough have only one board, it makes it have less boards. Now, instead of just a plain old 'Drakborough' where anything can happen, it has to be the Town Square. I don't like the idea of the name 'Residential Area' for two reasons - one, there is probably not gonna be just one area of the town where there are a lot of houses. There are always gonna be shops and stuff sidled up next to houses. And two, there's already a board on the site called Residential Area.
I like the idea of including the Lake and the Crypt as Drakborough, though.
But one of the things that Roan said was that things that are blocked off are generally RPed in less...this is true. The only reason we have passwords on the Common Rooms is because it is from the books themselves. Unfortunately, it stops a lot of people in houses from activity there. And getting rid of the passwords always brings up the possibility of just anyone posting there when it is supposed to be a place for one house only. Huh.
Finally, I think with making Joker's Bar and City Hall their own boards instead of sub-boards, people will use them more often. I think City Hall will become what 'Ministry of Magic' was on MH, and Joker's Bar will be frequented more often. Referring back to what Roan said - if a place is there, people are much more likely to use it than if it's hidden away.

Triple Post - why don't we just sack 'Residential Area' and just put the Common Rooms on the main board? It's one thing that they all have passwords, it's another thing that they all have passwords and are already hidden from the main page.

I'm voting to keep the Prefect's Bath. I consider it a potentially neat necessity - it'll be cool to see, once we get a steady flow of students once more, old threads there that the new Prefects can read through. Kinda like reading through the annals of your predecessors. And stuff.
