(OOC: i still think she wouldnt b seen but o well....)
Ryo smirked, "Maybe you like running into people. Makes for an unforgetable enterence."
He japanese boy stood in awe, "Wow, you know her language too. I feel a little left out. Hmm, well, I think we should get going. I would hate to waste the day here."
The truth was the girl in the shadows seemed to be a powerful girl adept at the use of magic, far more than he. He knew he would have to be careful. Even half a world away trouble had followed him.

"Yeah, standing around isn't going to get anybody anywhere. I better go see where my common room is." Verity slung her ivory carpet bag over her shoulder and started walking towards the castle.

"Well I hope you don't mind directing me to mine. We are not in the same house so I hope that's not a problem." Ryo smiled hoping that the girl wouldn't mind.

Ryo put his hand over his face, "You're lost?"
Not wanting to spend all day, he pulled out a piece of parchment from his pocket and tapped it with his wand. Little black markings showed up on it. It appeared to be a map but was very largely incomplete. It was a map that drew itself as he walked around. He had picked up the idea watching his mother. They had needed a way to know where they had been being on the run so much.
The boy had an amused expression on his face, "I could lead you to the lake and the headmaster's office."

"I'm not lost, per say, I'm just not very oriented. I'll soon learn." Verity tapped her head smartly as if to prove a point, but only succeeded in causing a minor bruise. "Yeah, well after I repair the brain damage."
"Well the headmaster could help, but the lake... it could be cool to sleep with the fishies, though..." Verity trailed off. "They should hand out pamphlets when you enroll, don't you think? Or at least a handbook so poor unfortunate souls don't get caught in this situation!"

The boy snickered, "I'm sure you'll be fine. I just hope we get oriented soon. My bag is heavy."
Ryo laughed a little at her idea of handing out pamphlets. "I'm sure they expect older students to take the younger ones under their wing. A map would do for me. It would save me the trouble of walking to make mine," he said pointing to his enchanted parchment.

"When you walk, your map draws itself? It's cool, but it'd be more useful if this was unknown territory." Verity ran her fingers through her hair and furrowed her eyebrows in thought. "You know what, this weird witch back at the airport went to school here ages ago, I only paid attention for a minute or so, but she kept saying that the common room resemble the habitats of the House mascots."

"Actually yes it does," Ryo said proud of his map. "It was very handy in Japan. It may be an island but it's bigger than you think."
Hearing about the common rooms the boy got a little interested. "Really? Sounds like that could be fun," he said with a smile. "It's too bad we are in different common rooms because I would like to keep talking to you."

Verity looked confused for a moment. "Oh right! You're a Slytherin, momentary memory loss." As she twiddled a strand of hair between her fingers, Verity's eyes looked up imploringly at the sky.
"Oh no... that means... you probably get the ground floor or below and I... have to climb a lot of stairs. I hate stairs. Lucky you. Yeah, and unlucky me, who the first interesting person I meet happens to be in another house."

A smirk crossed Ryo's face, "Well I could get in but I don't think it's worth the trouble. I'd rather not get kicked out. I'm starting to like this place."
Ryo thought for a moment, "It's too bad. I don't mind stairs. Well maybe you will luck out."

"Maybe. The answer to every question," Verity sighed. "Well I'm gonna get a head start."
Striding purposefully towards the castle, Verity looked the picture of elegance - well, until she fell flat on her face. Her bag strewn on the ground, Verity brought herself up to her knees and looked around in confusion. "What the hell did I trip on?!"

"You know, wouldn't it make more sense to show them to the Great Hall, or at least find someone who actually knows where they're going?"
Arms folded hautily over his chest, Shadonious glared towards the trio, having halted in passing. What the hell was this, anyway? Two young-bloods he failed to recognise and, well, who wouldn't remember a girl attempting to run you over with a skateboard...?
"Don't expect the older students to help you with anything, kid. You're what-" Angry violet-hued eyes flickered over the slytherin boy before the chalk-pale animagus rose a dark eyebrow in amusement, "...Twelve?" His senses stung painfully, forcing him to recoil slightly at the scent; wrinkling his nose in disgust as he took careful mind to stay out of circulative range of Mikey and her board.
Running both hands through his violently-streaked hair, the serpent growled a little in common stress of annoyance, "Hoi....C'est ridicule... Nous devons avant de les brûler la nuit est terminée!" he pined quietly to himself, aggitated easily around fresh meat in the school.
Pamphlets? Handbooks? Did they know nothing about the school they had joined. Flicking his wand off-handedly, he levitated the boy's bag a few inches before silently willing it towards the common as he rounded on them once more. "Life's hard, live with it. If you're that bothered about a bag, use magic for christ's sake! Are you just that small minded, or do you really have no intention of using it whilst you're here?" he snarled, his cobalt eyes flickering to shades of obselete plum in his irritation.
"Now, children you can move or I will see to it that you recieve no help in your time here."

Verity looked up, her eyes darkening slightly, and her lips forced themselves into a slight maniacal grin that could be defined as disturbing. Her knuckles turning white as her hands clutched the bag in her hand tightly, she processed every thought she had before concluding on the most rational and humane way to act.
"Yes, I'm small minded. No, I don't particularly trust magic, but for you, Your Highness, I shall make an effort to push aside any slight dislike for magic that I could harbour. And I don't really like people helping me out. And I don't really think that Ryo, over here, is twelve."
Then, she flipped her personality over like it was a coin and she seemed to forget anything had happened. "Oops! My personality is something I can't control, I guess," she snickered.

Ryo looked to Verity and then to Mikey, "Look, it's just not worth it, let's go."
He bowed to the older boy, "Sorry, we will be on our way, but if you must know I don't use magic that I don't have to."
The boy stifled a smile. Not using magic? He was actually but the whole point was not letting the others of the school know that, save the headmaster.
He grabbed Verity's and Mikey's hands and led them away from the boy. "Let's just go and find those common rooms, ne? I think you said you can find mine Mikey, right?"
Ryo was getting nervous now. Why did he seem to attract all the dark wizards? Sometimes he hated being able to sense magic. It was possible that the boy was just less than friendly but the dark magic seemed so sinister that Ryo couldn't entertain the idea of trying to be friendly. Ironically, Ryo had done a few questionable things in his past for the sake of self defense and helping his mother but he had been hoping to leave that back in his home country. The last thing he needed was to draw attention to himself.
