James waited outside Joker's Bar, it was five minutes to five o'clock. Time to see if this will work. James had spent the last week interviewing and gathering people, to join his "club." The aim was to create an Anti-Shadow League. He was still working on the name. He was looking up the street when he was suddenly accosted from behind by two pairs of hands. He wriggled out of their grasp. He turned quickly and drew his wand but holstered it when he realized who it must be.
"You got my message then, lads?" It was the Landon brothers. "Yeah", the younger one, Seth, responded. "We came all the way from Kameons for this." The older one, the lycan, spoke up, "I figured what you must be doing, our "mutual acquaintance" was quite easy to figure out. They told me about your repution and I, for one, am quite relieved to have you leading this."
James smiled, "Well, that's two, let's see how many more show up."

Ashelle had been wandering around Drakborough for a while now. The sun was beginning to set and the last Horseless carriage's to the school where departing. It was a good thing she'd decided to take Artemis Fowl II, her Thestral, to the town today. Now the only curfew she had to worry about was the in the common room by 8:00 one.
It was sort of a funny sight, to see her walking her Thestral, holding reins that seemed to be held up by themselves. (Most people couldn't see Thestrals, the only way to see them was if you'd personally seen someone die before your eyes.) Ashelle was used to such a thing by now and calmly walked her Bridle and saddle around the small village.
Finally she spotted Mr. Mustang, and led Artemis over to him. "Hello Mr. Mustang, is this where were supposed to meet then? I must warn you that I must be back at the school before curfew and also I hope to get something to eat if this meeting is going to be long. You realize we are most likely going to miss dinner?"
Elorra let a small sigh. She was glad to see that she wasn't the last one to arrive there were at least two others with James as she approched.
Elorra smiled as she approched the group "Hello there stranger" said Elorra with a smile towards James "Hope I'm not too late or too early" she grinned as she came to a stop next to James and gave him a smile "I even have my shoes on this time" said Elorra with a laugh and slightly lifting one foot up to show her runners the were just visible under her jeans. Last time she had met James here Midnight had ran away with her shoes.

"Nice Thestral, Ashelle." He had seen so much death in the Triangle Tunnel that it would be impossible for him not to be able to see it. "Listen, don't worry about curfew, this is more important. I've paid for the place for as long as we need it. We have food waiting inside. Besides, I'm sure you'll make it back on time."
"Hello, Elorra. How are you, love? Good to see you showed up. Don't worry, you're just in time. Ladies, this is Seth and Miles Landon, they're from America. Don't let that throw you, they are two of the most promising young wizards across the pond."
Elorra smiled towards Seth and Miles as James introduced them "Its nice to meet you both" said Elorra with a smile and looking back towards James "And I'm good thankyou very much. I made sure that Midnight was locked in my dorm before I left so I hope and pray that I don't meet him anywhere out here. Otherwise I think I may be running for my shoes again" said Elorra with a laugh "Oh and hi there Ashelle. I didn't see you there" Elorra added with a quick look towards Ashelle.
Alice walked through the streets of Drakborough, a comfortable little village full of magical folk. She was here for some "amazing opportunity." She had met James Mustang two days ago. He had recognized her for wgat she was, a Vampire Hunter. Don't ask her how he knew he had said there was just something about her that screamed Hunter, the look in her eyes, the set of her jaw. Like recognizes like, turned out he was a Dark Wizard hunter, an Auror.
She eventually found the meeting place, Joker's Bar. Out front there were three males including Mustang, two females, and a thestral. She couldn't count how many people she had seen fall prey to her thirsty foe, she was merely reminded because of the thestral. She walked up and said, "Well, I'm here James."bg
A determined frown marred the rather striking features of yet another girl heading through the crowded streets of Drakborough that Friday evening. For one thing, she wasn't supposed to even be in the village at this time of day; for another she knew there were others going to be there, and that if they were found she would be the one blamed. Of course, Sylph O'Dell was not the kind of prefect to mind a little rule breaking, especially when it was in good cause, and even less so if it was those in her own house doing the deed - she wasn't likely to dock points from her own house, was she? Honesty and responsibility were one thing, and the competitive need to win the house cup was another all together, and it was obvious which one Sylph would opt for given the choice.
She wound her way through the streets on long striding legs, her waist-length and violently purple hair for once tied back in a low pony tail and stuck down the back of her robes in an effort to make the Gryffindor less distinctive. It hadn't really worked; Sylph was over five foot nine and had eyes that sparked and flashed with dazzling green fire; in short she stuck out like a sore purple-tipped thumb. Still, this was just one of the times she had to be prepared to bend the rules of Firefox - she she didn't turn up, well, she didn't like to think about what her young Gryffindor charges would get up to. They were all very capable, sure, but they needed the hand of someone a little older, a little wiser and one with copious levels of experience. James Mustang - the kid who had organized this whole meeting thing - was the son of a well known auror, but Sylph knew it would take more than the influence of a dad with ministry training to do what this group was setting out to achieve.
Ah yes. The Shadows.
The reason they were here - according to Aednat, the girl who had informed Sylph of this little party - was to form a resistance against the group of dark wizards known as the Society of Shadows, led primarily by Count Scorpius. Sylph shuddered inwardly as she recalled the horrific images displayed in the Spanish wizarding tabloids over the past days. They had murdered countless innocent people at the Triangle Tunnel, but what they're purpose was still eluded pretty much every expert interviewed. How a bunch of school kids were to stand up to an organization with the numbers and power of the Shadows was beyond Sylph, but at least they were doing something. Nor were they alone.
Entering Joker's bar Sylph's almost unnaturally glittering eyes came to rest upon some familiar faces. James, Elorra, Ashelle; these were known to her, and they were the only students so far arrived. And all Gryffies, Sylph thought with a ambivalent mixture of concerned guilt and pride. There were others though, one clearly not entirely human, for his eyes held the light of the race of lycans that Sylph knew only too well. The others were a boy and a witch - the latter of which was even taller than Sylph. She had the look of supreme confidence and a light shone in her smoky grey eyes that belied experience beyond her years. Sylph eyed her, half suspicious and half approving. They needed people like this, but if she was unknown, then she at least had to explain who she was and why she was here: Sylph was far too protective of her fellow Gryffindors to expose them to someone who was possibly dangerous to them. Being a prefect has turned you into a mother hen, a snide voice in her head told her. What happened to the old reckless Sylph? Sylph snorted at the voice. I've just grown up a bit is all, she mused back at it, and strode over to the group with a characteristic dare-devil grin on her face.
"Alright, kids?" she grinned at them all, her naturally wry voice even drier than usual. She jerked her head at the unknown boys and woman, her peridot eyes sparking but far from unfriendly. "Heya James, who're these guys?"bg
A resistance against the Society. The idea flashed through his endlessly as he made his way through the town, trying to find this Joker's Bar. A resistance against the Society... Sure, Muryllis had heard a few bad things about this Society which he had just joined, but he saw no reason to actually want to fight it. He had joined because Scorpius was quite obviously an honorable man, and because of the promise of infinite knowledge - a promise he was absolute sucker for. Indeed, he had joined the Society, but he did not yet know that they were entirely evil.
Turning a corner, he finally found the bar. Striding in, he immediately noticed a few of his friends - Ashlle the (relatively good) nurse; James, one of the kids he had adventured in the Salamandra mansion with; and Sylph, the wonderful duelist. "Hey guys - and gals," he noted, a smile on his face. If he was to play the part of a Redeemer, finding out what the enemies of the Society were doing, he would need to act normal - quite a simple feat for him, since he was far from evil, thus unsupportive of the darker side of the Society. "James, I got your note - indeed, would you do the honors of briefing me on the happenings so far? It seems I might have missed a bit... "
It was a good thing that he was not yet suspected of being a Shadow; indeed, he might have been seen with Tobias - but he probably wasn't the only one with odd friends, and he could use the word 'spying' if interrogated on the matter. He may have been seen using techniques of the Shadows - but the students at Nostri Magi were taught all kinds of more subtle magics, and weaving shadow magic into his prior education would not be difficult at all. What if they asked about his rapid advance in magical power? Indeed, being a Redeemer was quite fine, but what of his excuse? Simple - he was a rapid learner (as he truly was), and picking up bits from others was easy for him. The would be forced to accept Muryllis - he was simply too clean to refuse.
Joker's bar at five... Aednat repeated the phrase every so often like a refrain, in order to keep track of the time. This way she wouldn't get caught up in something and forget to keep checking her watch. She hoped so anyway. The problem lay in the fact that there were just so many fascinating things in Drakborough...and so many little streets to get lost on too.
"Joker's bar at five..." The Irish-accented voice uttered the phrase again in a sing-song tone as Aednat examined a display in the sweetshop. She really needed some more sugar quills, and they had tons of strawberry ones here. She hadn't really been paying attention to what she was saying- the voice in which she had spoken the location and time of her planned rendevous had been absent and far-away, as though she was distraced. Well, no wonder- she was! Who wouldn't be? Still, repeating the words had obviously done the job they were supposed to do, and Aednat checked her watch as she sauntered over to the counter to pay for her sugar quills.
Five o'clock... FIVE O'CLOCK?
Oooops...
Shaking her head in exasperation, Aednat laughed and had to wonder if she'd ever get this timing-thing right. She'd run... but not before she paid for the yummy treats. Dumping them on the counter, she flashed a smile at the assistant and grabbed a packet or two of sherbet, spotting them at the last minute. She'd almost forgotten. Smiling apologetically as she hurriedly loaded the assistant's hands with a random number of Knuts and a Sickle or two, she swept her arm across the surface of the counter and pushed all of the stuff into her bag. Reaching for her change, she called a cheery but brief goodbye and darted out of the shop, bell tinkling behind her.
The girl stood stock still for a moment, a lone, petite, slight figure outside the shop, as the words 'left' and 'right' argued with one another, each vying for attention inside her head. The truth was, she'd wandered to this shop and had no idea how she'd gotten here or how to get back. "Left!" she cried suddenly, deciding randomly which way to go. Feet clad in pumps ran lightly up a slight hill. Strangely, this street was much emptier than the one she'd just left had been. Drakborough had been pretty crowded, but... She ground to a halt beside a wizened old man. "Excuse me..." she began, but this was, of course, Spain- English wouldn't work here; nor would Irish, which Aednat almost reverted to instinctively. Pausing for a second to find the right words, the wheels began turning quickly in her brain and she remembered everything that had been written on page twenty of her Spanish phrases book. She had an excellent head for languages and picked them up quickly, but this was the first time she'd had to use Spanish with a native since her arrival. Hoping her minimal knowledge wouldn't let her down, she launched into a request for directions to Joker's. Luckily, the man understood her and even smiled genially and offered her a bag of sweets. She accepted them so as not to insult him, and ran off in the direction he'd indicated.
Sure enough, Joker's bar loomed before her just after her watch showed five past five.
Pushing the doors open, her blue eyes sought out hr fellow Gryffindors, James and Sylph. James had invited her and she, in turn, had told Sylph. She didn't know who else to expect. Smiling brightly as her eyes lit upon the gathering and she made her way over. "Sorry I'm a bit late! How are you guys?" she asked, dragging a stool over and perching herself on it. Unlike Sylph, she had made no effort to alter or disguise her appearance, and her dark curls tumbled around her shoulders in their usual fashion as she turned to look at all present, curious to see who else had come. Elorra- she smiled and waved over...Ashelle- a more hesitant wave and a little smile were sent that way... and then... She'd seen that boy before, she was sure. Classes- Transfiguration, COMC, Astronomy... It didn't take even a second for her to remember where. A look of recognition settled over her features and although she still smiled, she mentally raised an eyebrow and reminded herself to be on her guard with this one. Her sense of mischief also poked its head up- something Ashelle wouldn't be too happy to note, no doubt- as she wondered how much fun they could have with this. For this was Muryllis, she was sure of that. This was the Muryllis who had earned a bad name pretty early on for ratting on Roan in Charms, someone Aednat had infinite respect and a hell of a lot of liking for. This was also the boy with whom Sylph had duelled…
Interested and no doubt far too curious, Aednat introduced herself to him. "Aednat Leila Meagher, Gryffindor fifth year. And you're Muryllis, if I'm correct," she said simply. "Which I know I am..." remained unspoken, as did "I wonder how long he'll get in here before Sylphy chucks him out..." bg

James was glad to see Alice had shown, they needed someone with as much experience as she did, no matter that she was only sixteen. Next came Sylph O'Dell, the Gryffindor prefect. He introduced each of the "unfamiliars" in turn. "Okay this is Alice Muller, she's from the Salem Academy in America." There was a lot more to her but he didn't find it neccessary to mention it right at this moment. "And these two are Seth and Miles Landon. Also from America but they come from Kameons Academy."
Next came Muryllis. (ooc: I hate you) He was a special case. He was the last one that James had invited, even then he had had some reservations about him. He was pretty friendly with Tobias Selther, and James's suspicions about that certain individual were numerous. Next, in dealing with the young Salamandra boy, Muryllis had been a bit cold. Scrambling a muggle's brains was not James's idea of subtlety. Violence against muggles was a sore subject for James altogether, considering his mother was one.
But in the end, he decided that Muryllis's charm skills were needed too much for him to be passed up. "Hello Muryllis, find the place alright? I guess that's about how long we can wait. We really need to talk about all this. Shall we go inside then?"
He led them all into the bar. There was food and drinks waiting for them. He sat down and sighed. It was actually happening, he had managed to organize this thing and people had shown up. He was going to let them eat if they wanted before they got down to business. Someone entered the front door, he turned to look. He smiled when he saw who it was. "Hello, Aednat. Nice to see you decided to come, too."
How long before Sylphy chucked him out? Not long, if Slyphy had her way.
During the small total of hours that Sylph had been in contact with the Ravenclaw boy - whether in class or that one rather epic time in the dueling hall - she had formed an opinion of him, and it wasn't good. The kid was not only an insufferable know it all, with his fancy but slightly sinister schooling at whatever-it-was-called-magi in Rome, but he was also a nasty piece of work, in Sylph's quick to judge eyes. It wasn't purely that she was judgmental, she was just very good at being quick to determine a person's character, and whilst not always right, she had yet to be wrong. And she knew in her gut that Muryllis was trouble, or at least that there was something seriously up with the guy, something that made her skin itch and her metaphorical hackles stand on end. For heaven's sake, not only did he know silent casting, which he had explained satisfactorily enough, and the ninja-based art of shadow walking even under the anti-disapparation field of Firefox, but also wandless casting, which, not only rare, was usually the sign of one deep in mysterious magics beyond any mere student. No, Sylph was sure there was some dangerous and sinister influence over Muryllis, and more than his little friend Tobias the Slytherin too, and not just because he had attacked her in the duel in a most dishonorable way. Well, I paid him back for that one at least, she thought with grim satisfaction to herself, as her back gave an involuntary twinge where he had inflicted his flogging. Surprised he can even walk yet.
But walk he could, and he had walked right into Sylph's comfort zone. Of course, this was James' meeting, not hers, but Sylph had better people instincts than anybody here. As the Ravenclaw strode in - without even the good manners to be limping, even - Sylph's glittering eyes narrowed and she growled involuntarily. A deep dog-like rumble emanated from the depths of her throat, but only those right next to her would have heard it. A strange reaction for a human, perhaps, but she was sure the lycan boy would understand, even if nobody else did. Her eyes met his wolf-ish ones as James introduced them, and nodded curtly, hoping he was employing his lycanthrope powers of telepathy at that point.
Watch Muryllis, she communicated, though whether or not he had heard she did not know. Either way, at that very moment a very different face made its appearance - for one thing, it was welcome. Sylph shot a smile at the Irish brunette, and rolled her eyes at her in silent note as she flickered a glance toward Muryllis. The look on her face was plain for Aednat to read; Shall I get rid of him? Of course, things wouldn't have been very difficult for Sylph if she had chosen to oust Muryllis at that point either - simply a matter of hoisting him up by the scruff of his neck and throwing him bodily in the general direction of away. He wouldn't even have time to hex her, not that hexes were his strong point anyway. However, in was clear within the next moment that James obviously wanted him to hang around. Well, he was civil to the other male, anyway, and that was enough.
With a mental curse Sylph followed the group inside, right behind Muryllis, in fact, her lip curling in distaste as she looked down upon the back of the smaller boy's head. One wrong move... she said to herself as she glared at him. Just one...
"Hey, you are organised, aren't ya," she said out loud to James as she finally entered the pub, her voice, as always, wryly amused in tone. "Food and all, good choice - but a little distracting. Are you gonna get on with explaining your ideas to us or what?" bg
Elorra smiled as Sylph and Aednat arrive, and although she wasnt really familiar with the remaining two Elorra smiled politly towards them.
Entering the pub Elorra flashed James a smile at the site of the food before sitting down next to him, hooking one of her leg underneath her and bringing her other knee up under her chin before wrapping her arms around it. This wasnt a thing she did when she was nervous, she simply did it out of habbit and comfort.
Elorra laughed and looked at Sylph as she commented about the food "Not one to beat around the bush are you Sylph" laughed Elorra with a smile.

"Hmmph" said Ashelle aloud, and nodded to her classmates cordially. Inside this of course translated to: Small group, I wonder what this is all about. When James suggested the go inside, she tied Artemis to one of the hitching posts, pat his invisible (to most) neck and followed them all in. She was most glad to see the lovely spread of food that James had assured her was waiting, and soon took a seat.
Sylph was quick to get to the point. Ashelle was quite willing to listen to whatever the answer would be but not on an empty stomach. She helped herself to a drumstick, and delicately began to take it apart with knife and fork, waiting to hear what this meeting was for. She personally hoped they were starting a Fraternity/Sorority. That would look excellent on her resume once she graduated and became Great.
"Greetings, Aednat," he began, nodding and smiling to the girl who greeted him. He noted a hint of distaste in her voice, assuming that Sylph had poured out her random hatred toward him to this girl. "Indeed, I am Muryllis; I see names fly quite easily in this school. I'm afraid I haven't seen you before; or, if I have, I was too preoccupied in other matters to notice. Either way, it is a pleasure meeting you." Performing a half-bow/half-nod, he turned his attention from Aednat and looked over the others who had come. Some of them he did not know, but he did notice that they were all Gryffindors. 'It's an evil conspiracy, get out while you still ca-' screamed a voice in his head, before being drowned by his curiosity and caution.
Strolling in, he caught the rather disgruntled glance from the Gryffindor Sylph; whatever her reasons for hating him were definately beyond him - the duel had been as fair as he could make it. In fact, it was she who turned it into something serious; the agreement had been to keep out of the hospital wing. No matter, he noted, pressing his hand to his body, satisfied to feel the wand still suspended magically in his sleeve. With such a touchy subject as the one they were to discuss, Muryllis had thought it wise to employ this trick Syrus had shown him - and, with Sylph breathing down his neck, he thought it all the wiser. Indeed, once his job as a Redeemer of the Shadows began to roll, he would live up to the description Syrus had given this subgroup of the Society: 'Most of the Redeemers are not expert duelists or hand to hand fighters, but their immense knowledge of magic makes them extremely dangerous.' Indeed, with his ever-healthy appetite for knowledge, he would quickly be able to represent that description, becoming a true Redeemer.
And as for appetites, his was strangely inactive as he entered the bar and the smell of food enveloped him; he had eaten leaving, noting that risky ventures are best attempted on a happy stomach. Instead of approaching the table laden with goodies, he came to James, deciding to begin with some 'background' on the Society; for he, of course, knew barely anything of this supposed Dark organization. "Tell me," he began, "what you know of these 'Shadows'; I personally know bits and pieces of them and their leader, but you seem to have more to do with them if you decided to start this group. Tell me what you know; I'm not sure I know, or even you know, what we are going up against, and we might have things to piece together during the meeting." Inside, he simply laughed - they had no idea whom they were forming a resistance against, not these teens. The Count Scorpius was infinitely powerful; Syrus, the head of the Redeemers and of the Shadow Temple, had under him unimaginable knowledge and power. This meeting would be simply enteraining for Muryllis - in fact, false information on his part would be wise, and the Count would be pleased with what Muryllis would learn.

Watch Muryllis. The thought came to him. It surprised him, but he didn't let it show on his face. He thought he recognized it as the voice of one of the newcomers, Sylph. He looked at Muryllis, another of the newcomers. Yes, there was something distinctly unpleasant about this boy. With sensitive ears he picked up a low growling noise coming from Sylph. Wow, she really doesn't like him. What did he do to her?
He followed them into the bar and sat down in front of a plate of food. He didn't feel like eating right now. His brother sat down next to him. "Food and all, good choice - but a little distracting. Are you gonna get on with explaining your ideas to us or what?"
Muryllis, too, seemed eager to get on with it. Miles was a little unsettled by this Muryllis. There just seemed to be something...dishonest about him. Miles would be watching him.
