3pm - Ravenwood Tower. Divinations Classroom.
Set up on a tiered floor were tables with two comfortable chairs. The cushions were a pale lilac and certainly smelled like them too. Each table was a dark wood though covered with cloths of either white, lavender, or goldenrod and trimmed with lace. For today’s lesson a perfectly shaped crystal ball was placed in the center of each table and a book titled Crystal Gazing for Beginners was next to it. Each clear crystal ball emitted a soft glow even in the well-lit room. Here is where the students were to come and sit for their lessons and Chloe tried to keep it as neat and sophisticated as possible. She changed it every year ever slightly to keep things fresh. Chloe certainly wanted it to be welcoming and open and full of light rather than stuff.
White curtains ruffled slightly by the open windows on one wall of the classroom. They were open to admit a light autumn breeze and keep the room airy. The ceiling of the classroom was covered in zodiac symbols in gold against purple. Against the un-windowed wall of the classroom were the shelves of books and other materials for Divinations in class cabinets so everyone could see their contents. One shelf near the corner of the room had vials and books that were more pink in color and the cabinet was locked and could only be opened by Chloe’s touch. Those contained her more person interests. The front of the room had Chloe’s dark wood desk at the lowest level of the floor and her board behind her.
Chloe was seated at her desk for once scribbling away on a sheet of paper with a very distant look in her grey eyes. Stuck in a vision her hand absent mindedly took notes of what she felt and saw so she could use them later. Shaking herself out of it the woman picked up the sheet of paper and regarded it with pursed lips. There was nothing of great importance to her. A student would try and cheat on their next Charms exam, though she didn’t know who and didn’t really care. And there would be an interesting meeting for her if she cared to go to the bar in Drakborough that weekend. Perhaps she’d go get some attention.
Taking the paper and quill she opened a drawer that only opened to her essence and placed both inside. Then with both manicured hands she carefully drew out a dark wood box stamped with pictures of moons and stars. Chloe placed it on the center of her desk so everyone in class would be able to see it when it came time for the lesson. Regarding it with a coy smile the Professor pushed her chair back and went to unlock her door. Black pumps clicked on the floor and Chloe’s hips had their subtle swing in the tight black robes which slimmed her already perfect form. Golden hair was up in a messy bun with a few curls framing her face sleepily. Today Chloe decided she was going to try and teach and not just impress for once. Though those who didn't know their Professor was a half-veela and hadn't met her yet were in for a surprise.
With a graceful movement she opened her door and waited for students to arrive for the first Divinations lesson of the school year.
