Evil will always come knocking on our doors, and we will always have to fight them.
As the chatter of questions died down, a loud knocking sound echoed around the hall along with a booming voice. Welcome one and all to my castle, It spoke, the sound of the voice most likely sending shivers down the spines of many of the students in the hall. A slight cold breeze played about their ankles thanks to many wind whirlers placed underneath the long wooden tables earlier that day.
I understand this to be a school of magic, the voice continued as the wind whirlers got faster and colder. Allow me to inform you now, younglings. I do not appreciate my castle being used as a school for MAGIC!
As the final words were roared into the hall, the wind whirlers gave an almighty blast and the doors flew open. On the other side, slowly pacing forward was a creature that looked as though it was on fire thanks to the sparks emiting from its form. This creature had the head of a man and three rows of dangerous looking iron teeth. Its back sprouted wings which flapped threateningly as it's glowing grey eyes scanned each person in the room.
As the Manticore padded forwards a few feet, the dragon tail which swayed dangerously from side to side almost met with a few students, sending sparks flying to the floor. Eventually, those grey eyes fell on the Teacher's Table at the foot of the Hall, right past all the students. Immediately the glowing figure took on a grin and though its paces had been few and small before, the creature began to take speed as it ran down the hall.
Just as it reached the Teacher's Table, the Manticore leaped up as to hit the teacher in front of it, but instead flew towards the sky, and exploded into fireworks, spelling out the words: Welcome to Firefox Academy! in huge red, blue, yellow and green letters.
If anyone were to look at the back of the hall as the lights exploded, they would have seen a young looking blonde girl in a wheelchair, no older than nineteen with a mischevous grin on her face and a sparkle in her eyes which were all too familiar to those who knew her well. "And that worked a charm!"
