Narrowing her eyes into a glare at her cousin, Gwen shook her head. "No, you will not tell him anything of the such," she smiled in a gentle request. "I told you that out of confidence hope that stayed between us. But, if you do add anything, tell him that he meant nothing to me," she said darkly before resuming her calm nature once more. "But I can somewhat understand his side. You stole something precious to him," she said coolly. "And that in itself is enough for him to be pissed at you. And with the slavery, it doesn't matter if you freed him or not. Personally I would have done worse if I was in his shoes," she muttered.
"Sorry if this harsh talk against family but I'm not going to lie. Well, not right now anyway."
"Well I don't really suspect anyone in our house, let alone our family to tell the truth all the time. It's in our blood to go behind people's backs. Sometimes for the better good, other times for the opposite," she shrugged making sure to make a Regulus reference in there somewhere.
Malachy nodded, "I may mess with Shadow from time to time, but I guess i was thinking of him as less then family at the time." He looked down at Selene still out cold. "If it weren't for her I might have gotten along with Shadow just fine. Maybe we still can." He said with a shrug. He needed to get on shadows good side. His cousin would be really useful. "What do you think I should do to make up on my own. I'd rather be able to trust all of my family to not stab me in the back. At least to some degree."
"Indeed you were, as was I," she whispered before looking down at her sister's pathetic state. "But no matter he's still our cousin," she sighed obviously disgusted with herself for even dating, let alone being engaged to the boy. "But everything happens for a reason," she said in a lofty tone. "She only did what she thought was right," she muttered shaking her head.
"And good luck on that. Who knows how many opportunists there are amongst us. But I can tell you that there are two that you can definitely trust. Frescan and Rosalie. Fresc is a Gryffindor here, though I have no idea where he went off to," she said as her voice got quieter toward the end. "But he's good people," she reassured him. "And Rosalie, though she is only related through marriage, she's a noble young woman. Perhaps Morgan can get you more information on her considering they are in the same house. I hardly speak to the girl, but Rosy is supposed to be the peace keeper between myself and Selene."
"So with that said, you have five family members here that you can learn to count on,"she told him with a somewhat bright smile.

Ashelle hurried to the spot indicated by the patronus she'd never before seen, fearing the worst. and indeed when she got there, things did seem like the worst. Malachy and Gwen of Slytherin stood by a horrific scene with an unconscious student at there feet and a suit of priceless armor split in two and buried in opposite walls of the corridor!
"What the Bloody Hell happened here?" she cried, both angry worried and frightened at the same time. Surely if Malachy didn't care about the young student at his feet he wouldn't care about her at some point also. Was the student bleeding? Ashelle couldn't see from this angle. "Why are you just standing there," said Ashelle the Student Nurse, jumping into action by feeling for the girls pulse. It seemed to be alright. Was the girl concussed then?
"Explain yourselves or I will report this to your Head of House. You won't be getting away with this one Mr. Necrosa," she told Malachy severely, as she was suddenly reminded of the time she had allowed him to skip class.
Malachy let out a low sigh already having a response handy. "Good your here. Before you go blaming people consider this, Selene is her sister, and my cousin." He explained, indicating himself and Gwen. "If anything, you should know that the Blacks rarely attack those whom they share our blood-line with, well unless they have a probable cause anyway."
He looked down at the body, "I'm not sure exactly what happened." he said as he quickly thought up a story that would work better than the one he had thought of first. "Gwen and I decided to get a late lunch, so where headed to the kitchens from our common room. We where admiring the the... artwork when Sning dropped off my finger, and I heard the body drop behind me. When I turned around ans saw Selene on the ground. just like that." Selene still had her wand out. "From when Gwen's told me Selene and her are not on the best of terms. I believe that Sning was protecting us from a back-stabber."
Sning sudden;y spoke up, knowing that both conscious girl understood him and chose the word he spoke carefully. "Selene has chosen against being on our side and proved traitorous by going behind my master's back. She held no friendly intent. She is merely unconscious and will awaken in a few ours with what you humans call a hangover, My venom is is never lethal with or without an antidote, but by now her natural defenses should have removed the poison. It would be wise to allow her to wake up in her bed where it will be more comfortable and farther a way from her targets." Sning spoke with confidence the artificial snake was practiced in the art of lying. But Malachy didn't feel good for lying to Ashelle. He would explain things later when things had camed down and Ashelle was willing to listen to him.

"Hmmmm," was all Ashelle chose to respond. All her forbearer's had been in Slytherin and thought she'd never known them, she could smell a lie from a mile away. So the ring had bitten her then? No wonder she couldn't see any blood, a bite from such a small snake would be virtually invisible. Still none of what they said explained the armor, she girl could still be accidentally concussed or worse.
"I suppose I should take her off your hands," said Ashelle idly, "but just you remember this, 'The naked truth is always better than the best dressed lie'. I understand it is hard for people like us to remember that, that is the only reason I remind you."
Ashelle then conjured a stretcher, levitated the comatose young lady onto it, and began walking away with her toward the Hospital Wing. As she walked away she said, "If you would please put the Armor back together again, make sure it has no signs of damage and fix the stone walls? You don't want a Teacher walking by and asking questions."
(OOC: Erm . . . do I make a recovery thread in the Wing, or do we just assume she recovered?)
