Leon walked into the Feasting Hall about fifteen minutes after the dinner time rush had ended. The hall was incredibly quiet, and due to the magical nature of what he imagined was the cleaning staff, it was almost impossible to tell that only a short while ago the majority of the school's students were packed in here eating and conversing noisily.
The reason he hadn't joined them himself was because he had made plans to eat dinner with Amira Raines, the cute Hufflepuff girl, and their new friend Adrian. He glanced between the tables, and figured he'd take a seat somewhere at what was usually the Hufflepuff table. Since the two of them were from that house, he figured it'd be best to just sit with them.
Having sat down, Leon looked around the hall for any sign of either of them. They weren't here yet. The Gryffindor half wondered if they were going to show at all. Hufflepuffs, while cute, were very unpredictable.

Amira walked to the feasting hall with her new Hufflepuff friend, Adrian. They were going to meet their friend, Leon. She wore jeans and a yellow t-shirt. She entered and began looking for Leon. He was at the Hufflepuff table. She rushed over and took a seat across from him.

Adrian walked with Amira, her fellow Hufflepuff. The only other person she'd seen in this school so far (due to the writers lack of writing) was Leon Foster, a Gryffindor student. She still had the neon shirt and jeans on, however with out the sun it wasn't really neon it was just... pink, a little bit brighter than other shirts, but still just pink.
They walked into the Feasting Hall. Amira looked around and ran over to a table. Adrian followed. Due to Adrian being in the same common room as Amira she figured it was best to stick with the ones you would be living with so that you wouldn't be just sitting in silence.
She sat next to Amira who was across from Leon. She took a look around. There were four tables, which makes sense, and it was very quiet. She hated it when it was really quiet. A mouse (or something?) would come in and make a noise and the people would all think it was a ghost and try to talk to it. The rodent/whatever would make another noise and something else would happen and then everybody runs home screaming for their moms and what-not. That is the reason why she didn't like the quiet. Adrian liked to be quiet, but did not enjoy it being quiet.

It didn't take very much time at all before Leon was joined by the two Hufflepuffs. Both of them were still dressed in muggle clothing, and he wondered to himself whether or not the two were also muggleborn like him. He remembered quickly that Adrian had mentioned being home schooled, so he ruled that out. Since Adrian was still wearing her clothes from earlier, he figured she just hadn't changed.
Amira, on the other hand, had changed her clothes and looked cute as ever. He wasn't begrudging her for wearing her muggle clothes, and he figured since the school day was over there was no reason not to wear what was comfortable. Leon had taken a shower, so he was much cleaner than he was earlier that day, and was wearing his standard black robes.
"Hey there," he said in greeting, "Amira, Adrian." Leon gave them a smile. "What have you guys been up to?"

Amira noticed Adrian's surveying of the area. She looked at Leon when he spoke and smiled. He had noticed that he had taken a shower."Hey," she said in a sing-song voice, "I showed her around the common room. Besides that, we've done hardly anything," she said, "What about you? Have you done anything interesting?"
She went to put her hair behind her and realized she had cut it a while back. She had memory problems. She was a Hufflepuff and therefore was... Hufflepuff-y. There was no other way to describe it.The blond had never had short hair before. She did when she was born but she had never actually cut it off. She wasn't used to it being short.
Her pale blue eyes smiled kindly like always. She enjoyed both their company.

Adrian turned her attention back to Leon and Amira. She smiled at Leon in greeting. Her fellow Hufflepuff friend answered for the both of them. She didn't mind her answering for her. She was very quiet and shy. She didn't get out much when she was younger.
The Hufflepuff put her elbows on the table. She rested her chin on her hand. This school was like a maze. It was crazy how Amira was able to memorize how to get here. Then again, Adrian was always lost, which is exactly why she had to learn to read maps. Even with the maps she still got lost often.

She detested large groups by nature, and as such, it had become a habit of hers to push her meal times a little later than regular, so as to avoid the crowd. It didn't always work, but today it seemed she was in luck, as the only people there were two girls and a certain familiar boy.
Micha hesitated, glancing from the occupied table to her usual lonely Slytherin one. It would be easier to just go and sit by herself, but while she did not like crowds, she wasn't naturally a solitary person, and so the girl made her way to join the others. As the two girls were sitting across from Leon, it would have been weird to sit by them, and so she instead sat by Leon.
"Evening," she stated calmly, and then, because she had been the one to intrude, "Micha Volkov, Slytherin Fifth Year." None of them had food yet, and so she deigned it necessary to wait, as well. It would be awkward to begin eating first, after all.
Ever unruffled, the girl crossed her legs and smoothed her skirt. At least Whites wasn't there.
Whites had been doing one of his less-favorite things to do. That is to say, he didn't really like doing it much, but he did it anyway just because. He'd been in the library, studying. So hard had he been focusing on studying that he had actually forgotten to go eat! Crazy. So it was that Whites was making his way to dinner now. Man! All of that 'trying to study' stuff had actually gotten him pretty hungry. He couldn't really remember what he'd eaten for lunch, for some reason, but he was pretty sure that he had eaten lunch.
When he came into the great hall, to his surprise, it was almost entirely empty. Man, he didn't want to sit alone. Looking closer, he noticed that the people there were Leon, his friend, and Micha, his 'don't call me a friend' friend. Leon was chatting with some cute Hufflepuff girls. Man! That guy could really talk to girls.
Whites made his way over, smiling, and slid in next to Micha.
"Hey Leon, Micha! Hi Amira." He hadn't met that last one, the other Hufflepuff, but he figured they would speak up soon enough. Besides, always meeting new people was awkward. "You guys catching a late dinner, too?"

"Me?" Leon smiled, "nah, I haven't been up to much. I had some Potions homework I had to finish so I wanted to get that out of the way before we got together." Adrian was just as quiet as ever throughout all of this, to the point where Leon couldn't help but grasp the humor in her quiet demeanor and very loud fashions. The young wizard was about to suggest they summon some food, but he heard the arrival of someone else into the hall.
It was Micha Volkov. She was approaching them, and he wondered to himself why exactly she was doing so. At no point in any of his encounters with the Slytherin did he ever seem to get any impression that she viewed him as a friend, and he found it very difficult to imagine her viewing either of these two girls as one either. Still, in her usual withdrawn way, she greeted them and quietly took a seat next to him. "Evening, Micha," Leon responded, giving the dark haired girl a look out of the corner of his eye.
What was her deal? It just didn't seem like her to want to socialize, and yet here she was politely waiting for them to all get food before she brought her own. Yet if she didn't want to spend time with this group, then she would've sat at her own table. Leon looked back at the two Hufflepuffs. He didn't know who was more complicated, the Slytherin girls or the Hufflepuffs.
Though Leon certainly didn't mind being the only male at the table, he was spared this title by the arrival of his good friend Whites. Leon gave him a grin as he sat down, "yeah man, it's good to see you. Didn't know everybody was skipping dinner. Let me introduce you, this is Adrian." He motioned to the quiet girl, "she just got here earlier today. Amira wanted to have a little 'getting to know' thing tonight, so I thought we could get food after dinner. I'm glad she'll get to meet you guys too."

Potions homework. Amira had heard some weird things about that class. A potion that made people think they were dolphins and fish and weird things like that. She was some-what glad that she wasn't in that class to see all of that craziness. Adrian sat silently next to her, the way she had been all day. She wasn't much of a talker.
The three were shortly joined by a girl with black pigtails. She had seen her when she had first met Leon, but she never actually met her. She didn't even know her name. The girl sat down next to Leon. She was probably friends with him. She introduced herself. Well, Amira knew her name now. "Nice to meet you. I'm Amira Raines," she replied.
They were soon joined by a boy. It was Whites. He took a seat next to Micha. She knew him, but didn't know him well. She had run over him when she first met him. He was also there when she first met Leon. What a coincidence. The two arrived about the same time. Maybe this was a new form of stalking. Who's stalking who? Is Whites stalking Micha or is Micha stalking Leon--Wait, wasn't Amira stalking Leon. She was in a lot of his classes, lately. "Hey," she said.
The blond looked over as Leon introduced Adrian. She wondered if she would say something. Like a "Hello" or "Nice to meet you" or something. She figured she would well, she didn't know. She really didn't know her that well.

Adrian sat quietly listening to her new friends converse. She never really talked much, not even at home, because she never knew what to say. She remembered that when she was little it was rare that her parents fought, but when they did it was bad. Her mother had come to her crying, well both of them were. A man... cry. Her parents were mentally unstable. She had said, "Mom, your make-up is smearing." It made her mom laugh, which was good, but she really didn't know what else to say.
They were joined by a girl. She seemed some-what quiet. Then after, they were joined by yet another person. It was a boy who greeted Micha, Leon, and Amira. He didn't say anything to her. Leon then introduced her. What a gentleman.
What should I say? she asked herself. "Um...Hello. Nice to meet you," she said. The Hufflepuff was fine if it was one person at a time. However, this time it was two people at a time. That was a big difference!
She was hungry. Since she was new, she really didn't know how the food process worked. She didn't want to ask about it either.

Leon, of course, returned her words with a greeting as equally polite. The blonde girl she'd seen once before also introduced herself, and Micha nodded her head Amira's way.
Not a moment later there was the sound of steps behind her. She didn't even bother looking up, but a flat expression crossed her face when the boy sat next to her, already talking a mile a minute.
"Whites," she acknowledged, allowing him a cursory glance the same way you'd reward a dog with a treat after good behavior. He hadn't been particularly annoying of late, despite the fact they'd spent far too much time together, and that was good. More than tolerable, in fact.
Leon introduced the other girl by the name of Adrian, who then shyly said hello. Micha gave a quiet, "Hello, Adrian," back, as it was only polite.
Still, no one made a move for food, and her deeply ingrained sense of etiquette did not allow for her to make the first move. She took a short breath and, proper as she could manage, elbowed Whites gently in the side.
"Whites," she said again. "Are you hungry too?"
She would leave it up to him to go from there. Knowing him, however, he wouldn't get her hint at all. She resisted the urge to make a face.
"Hey, nice to meet you too!" Whites said to Adrian. "I'm Whites. I'm sure the school'll treat you fine!" He smiled, hoping to be encouraging. Sure, he wasn't the nicest guy around, but he could try, especially for some quiet Hufflepuff girl.
Man, all these new names to remember. Whites only hoped he could keep up!
He looked to Micha, wincing as he nudged him in the ribs all covert and Russian-spy like. Hungry? Sure, he was hungry. He wasn't ashamed of it, either!
"Oh man, yeah, I'm starving." He looked down at the plate in front of him. "Man, I want some steak, and like, a salad of some sort or other." Sure enough, those exact things popped up on his plate. He poked the meat with his fork. Delicious, no blood, but not burnt either. Awesome. He started digging in, noticing that he'd forgotten to get some sort of dressing, and a roll, too. Ah well, he'd get some after he'd finished what he had or something.
He looked up at Micha right before he took his first bite. "Oh, uh.. You guys weren't waiting or anything, were you? Sorry."
When introductions were all finished, Micha bullied Whites into making the first move so that her politeness would be preserved. Leon scowled at this, but as usual Whites took it all in stride and summoned a plate full of delicious dinner. His bitter expression turned to a happy one as Whites turned and looked up at the rest of them to see if they were waiting to eat. "I think Whites has the right idea," Leon said to both of the Hufflepuff ladies, and he looked specifically at Adrian next, "Adrian, you just have to order your food like you would at a restaurant. Except you'll get it a lot faster."
The Gryffindor flashed her a smile before looking down at his plate, "watch me. I'll have a plate of roast beef, with a side of mashed potatoes and asparagus." Only a moment's wait after saying the words, said food popped in front of him on a plate. "See? Delicious." A spoon, fork, and knife appeared next to his right hand, and he picked up the fork and lifted up some of the mashed potatoes to his mouth. After he swallowed it, he reached his left hand over to next to the plate.
"Apple cider, please," he said, and a goblet full of apple cider appeared there. He took a sip. "Give it a try," he suggested to Adrian. Amira and Micha, having been here longer than and just as long as him, would have no problem ordering theirs, of course.

Amira smiled at Adrian. She was so shy that it was adorable. The blond looked over at Whites as he began to order. The food appeared on his plate. She still hadn't gotten used to how cool that was. Leon was telling Adrian how it worked.
She ordered her food which consisted of mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans and water. The food appeared on her plate and the water in the goblet. She began to munch happily on her food.
