It was a beautiful hot day at Firefox University, Spain. The birds were singing, but not too much because the humidity was weighing on them. The sun was shining, beaming waves of heat down on those who'd dared leave the cool of the castle on this balmy day.
Did I mention it was hot?
Selene had just got done slathering her skin with Sun-Block Potion on her arms and legs, and was now -more carefully- applying it to her neck and face. She was here not to swim, though she had her swimsuit and shorts on, but rather looking for the 'real' entrance to the Fae Garden rumored to be at the bottom of the lake.
After all she'd reasoned Not every single Fae could possibly have the power to breath underwater, and surely some of them would rather not get wet. There must be a secret passage!
Today Selene was looking among the rocks and crevices closest to the school. She didn't wish to get into any trouble by searching on the forest side, and she'd already checked the side facing the Quidditch Pitch - nothing there. The only thing left was the beach which, apart for one large rock the students tended to jump off of, held nothing of interest.
It's not that she wanted to use such a secret passage, or reveal it to anyone, not for any price! It was just - she had a hunch a gut feeling for a long time to come down to the Lake and to look carefully, for what she didn't know. So she'd decided if anyone were to ask her she'd say she was searching for the secret passage the fae used to get from the bottom of the lake to the top and back. That -in-turn- turned into a real search for such a passage. One could only focus on something that they didn't know what it was for so long.
Selene finished her application of the potion and began to climb onto the tall rocks that surrounded the school's side of the Shining Lake's bank. The rocks weren't slick, and Selene had been one of the most sure footed and sharp eyed people in her tribe. She felt sure she'd find something today. Her gut was telling her so.
