While it wasn't the cleanest place Vinn could have been, the little dark haired Slytherin found peace in the crypt's silent walls. Dead people, as they were, were not frightening. Ghosts were more chilling than the average rotting corpse but even then Vinn found herself not caring enough to be afraid. They were dead after all, it wasn't like they could bring her any harm.
There didn't seem to be any here anyway.
Not being able to sleep was an annoyance in itself, but being surrounded by other snoozing classmates while wide awake was nearly torture. As such she came to the crypt in hopes of sitting in silence. Maybe to get some studying done, maybe to practice a few spells. Simple things that would bide her sleep deprived mind.
Lumos. Nox. Lumos. Nox.
Again and again the wand flickered on and off at Vinn's amusement, somehow not able to bring herself to pull out a book from the bag lying at her feet. The little woman was sitting with her back against a platform, swishing the piece of elegant maple back and forth. Eventually she stopped, sighing and leaning her head against the slab of fine marble. Wouldn't it be nice to be able to get some sleep? Not here of all places. Wasn't it bad luck to fall asleep in a crypt? Vinn didn't much believe in luck, but the idea amused her.
Maybe she should have brought her snake along. Something to give her company enough to not worry about what lurked in the shadows behind the smooth marble platforms.
Lumos. Nox.
