General Personality: Collected and cool in any situation, Micha carries herself with a quiet arrogance, never allowing herself to become distracted from whatever her current focus is. She is rarely friendly, though she may show a quiet respect to any she might regard as equal to her in power or intelligence. The one thing she especially prides herself on was her ability to lose her native accent, however, whenever under stress that accent has a tendency to become known again. She tends to cut straight to the point, and is often blunt (but always in a polite way) even with those she's just met.
She has a very close connection to her familiar, the cat Aleksei, whom she considers her only friend. Aleksei tends to directly project Micha's thoughts and feelings, even ones she has repressed. As a result, if Aleksei acts pleasantly or friendly to you, it's generally a sign that somewhere, deep down, Micha feels the same. Micha is pure-blooded and proud of that fact. Additionally, though she would never admit it in a thousand years, Micha has a hard time controlling her emotions and tends to just shove them all under the rug in the effort of maintaining distance. She doesn't like change and becomes very angry with herself and others if she feels anything at all for another person.

General: Micha's parents, both Aurors, met during one war or another, and it is said it was love at first spell. They stuck together, eventually got married, and after baby Miloslava came along they attempted to settle down and live a more steady sort of family life. This failed, as both were very active and loved their line of work, and soon they turned to close family members and friends to watch the baby for them while they traveled and went on missions and such.
The precocious child grew up in Petrozavodsk, Russia with these various babysitters until she was seven, at which point she joined her parents where they were working in London. From then on, she accompanied her parents throughout their travels, attending local magic schools whenever they were settled for a length of time and being home-schooled when they were not. Her parents were both extremely intelligent, as well as skilled in magic, and she learned from them in leaps and bounds.
It was during a stay in America that, after an encounter with a particularly wretched child who found it enjoyable to make fun of her for her 'funny voice' and 'weird name', she shed her thick Russian accent, changed her name, and began to watch herself--mannerisms, how she dressed, how she spoke--very carefully. One of her favorite uncles had always fondly called her 'Micha', because as a child she'd been more prone to climbing trees and fighting boys than playing with dolls, and as the name was actually considered feminine outside of her homeland, she started going by that. She also began to watch others even more carefully; she kept to herself, and anyone who tried to bully her was dealt with accordingly, sometimes with the help of some sort of ill-handled magic.
It was noticed, of course, that she was using magic outside of times when it was allowed, but due to her parents, rather than being punished, she was praised for her aptitude. She never had the time or desire to make friends, and perhaps loneliness might have set in were it not for her ability to immerse herself in her studies. When she was eleven, her family moved back to Europe, and she was enrolled in the Durmstrang Institute for Magical Learning, where she thrived. There were finally others that understood the ideas running through her little head, others that respected her and with whom she could work quite capably.
When she started her second year, after reading about the usefulness of a familiar, she acquired a Siberian kitten from the local Muggle pet shop. The feline, what with its almost feral stare and wolf-like shaggy coat, appealed to Micha, and she grew closer to the aptly-named Aleksei (meaning Defender) than she ever had with any of her classmates. She attended Durmstrang until halfway through her second year, at which time her family moved again, this time back to America, where she attended the Salem Academy for Witchcraft until she was 14.
Again, her parents' work called for a move, and again, Micha was dragged along, this time to France, where she was enrolled into the Beauxbatons Academy of Magic. A hard shell of cold indifference was formed as she struggled to adjust to the complete 180° in environments. It was also at Beauxbatons where she learned how to dress and carry herself, and by the time she had completed the year there she was a fashionable, pretty young lady -- with a heart of ice.
Her fifth year began, and this time, without her parents being the one to initiate anything, she began to think of moving. She had heard much about some 'Firefox University', and it intrigued her. Her French classmates tried to dissuade her, telling her stories of all sorts of inane happenings, like the dead walking the earth, lycans and vampires popping up everywhere, even dragons. These stories, of course, only further ignited her interest, and though the school year had technically already started, she put in for a transfer -- with her grades and her parents, it couldn't be ignored, of course, and not a few weeks later she found herself on her way to Spain.
At Firefox, she made acquaintances with several people right off the bat, including the insufferable Whites and the semi-respectable Leon Foster. After a series of misadventures, during which both of them tricked and conned her, she came to pretty much hate both of them, though she tried very hard not to let that on. Micha kept on with her studies, fuming (as ever) that Whites of all people had been promoted and she had not. She aims to finish school with top marks and eventually go on to become an auror, with or without her fellow classmates.
