It was truly a glorious morning. The birds were singing happily, and the litte squirrels were just too cute as the scurried around in the trees. The early spring flowers were just pushing up through the cold ground. There were a few leftover patches of slushy snow too, but they'd be mostly melted by noon time. The dawn especially was gorgeous as the little tendrils of golden-red light reached into the air. Especially if you happened to be on a broom in the air, and could see the thing properly. Morgan was exactly there.
She'd been practicing her quidditch early, since she was planning on meeting Shadow later. Secretly, the Ravenclaw girl was psyched. She had a boyfriend. On Valentine's Day. She kept the thought to herself instead of shouting it to the horizon as she wanted to, but a ridiculously huge grin had worked its way onto her face to stay.
She'd even dressed well to practice, however ridiculous that may seem. Her hair was brushed until it shone out almost like moonlight. Her peaches and cream complexion seemed to glow, and her eyes, however red the amber might be, were luminous. Her nails were done French-style, with little, red, gem, heart stickers she'd put on herself. She was wearing brand-new black jeans, with little rhinestone hearts on the back pockets, and a couple small ones on the left side of the front.
Her top was a red color that brought out her eyes. It was a skin-tight henley, with heart-shaped buttonsthat went halfwaly down the front of it. These were all unbuttoned, so that one could see the white tee she was wearing underneath. At the neckline of the tee was another small rhinestone heart. Once more, her wrist was sporting its assortment of silver bangles that jangled as she moved. Round her neck was Felix's necklace, the stone a bright ruby today. Her feet were without their usual black boots, but instead she wore little ballet flats, white in color, with a pink and red plaid pattern, and little hearts on the toes.
Nobody ever said that Morgan didn't know how to dress festively.
Her concentration on the sunrise, and of her plans later that day was interrupted as she noticed a big, pink cloud coming from the direction of the Greenhouses. Before she could do much about it, the cloud dispersed. Nothing to worry about then, just some firstie brewing a love potion, because he was too nervous to just ask someone to the Valentine's dance.
Eventually, her practice ended. (Okay, so it had more involved looking at the sunrise then actual practice, but she didn't want to get sweaty and/or dirty.) She landed her broom and secured it in her locker. Once that was done, she brushed her hair again, put on a little makeup and emerged from the stadium quite pleased with herself. She wondered if Shadow was up yet, and decided to head to the great hall.
