For Cealla, it was just another boring night. Seeing as she didn't own a calender, and also because her family had never really celebrated the wizard holidays. But, on this particular evening, she had been hanging out fairly close to the school (an unusual event in and of itself) reading a book on a bench. Getting close to Firefox was one of her only opportunities to read at night, simply because Fenris didn't exactly have the nicest lodgings and lighting a candle in a forest full of flammable materials made her feel uncomfortable.
Soon, she heard the commotion coming from the school. At first she attempted to ignore it, but found that the music made reading difficult. Having no other choice, she placed her book down on the bench and headed up to the school. Just a quick peek, to satisfy her curiosity, and then back to the woods. Fenris probably wouldn't think kindly on her fraternizing with the wizards. But... then again, who would know? She could just claim to be someone's little sister. Nobody had to know the truth.
As soon as she peered through the door and saw the party, she decided that there was no going back. One night of fun wouldn't hurt anyone. So, with the stealthy movements of a thief, she lifted a dress from a trunk she saw lying in the hallway and picked up a plain black mask off the floor. With that, she put a small smile on her face and headed into the commotion.
However, she barely got more than a few feet before she was stopped by a professor, demanding to know what she was doing there. "You look too young to be going to school here, little girl. And don't you know that you aren't supposed to be wandering around alone?" Duh, of course she knew that. Glancing around, she decided that once she could disappear into the crowd then she could possibly fade into anonymity.
"Ummm..." She said, scrambling for a name of a student, any student. "Shadonius Clearwater. I'm his... cousin." Yes, perfect. Sure, she didn't actually know the kid, but he wouldn't ever need to know that she stole his name out of a newspaper and then claimed to be related to him. Thankfully, it was good enough for the professor. She let the girl through without another question, and she was able to hide herself against one of the back walls. A perfect place to observe all of the action, without looking out of place.
