Felix always loved the New Years, the new year would signify a new beginning, a whole new year of excitement and adventure. He had survived his first semester at Firefox quite nicely, with many twist and turns. He looked forward to the next with great hope. Felix had missed the Start of Term dance and he was throughly excited for it. He had never been to an official dance, let alone a wizarding one. Dancing was one of the few things he did well though, especially the ballroom styles. His parents both are amazing dancers and they had taught him all the steps and versions. He hoped that he might not have to dance for he had no idea who.
Relative early for the New Year Bash, Felix dressed in a quite nice red and scarlet velvet dress robes, standing as tall as he could and attempting to look like all the six-foot tall giants around him. A mask that he had seen which he immediately loved, seemed a waste at first to buy. It was larger then most bandit style versions, covering his nose and over the side of his cheeks. No nostril slots had come with it so Felix could only hope to not suffocate from the mask. Except for the eyes it was all black as night. It had been uniquely charmed to look like the night sky. Starts sparkled but as if they where truly the light years away they really were. From each angle a different spot of the night sky could be seen, as if his mask was a window to the night, he had stared at it for ages on gloomy boring days. Picking out the consolations and the likes. He hoped a few shooting stars might go off around New Years, he never knew what would happen with these wizards.
Entering into the hall Felix was amazed at how elaborate everything was. He was about the first one to come, with a few other students scattered about. Taking his pick from the rows of empty benches at the Gryffindor table he waited for any of his friends to arrive.
