It had been there for ten minutes, and Charlotte hadn't moved an inch in those ten minutes. "Stupid thing, why does it have to be there NOW?" the brunette shouted, recoiling back into the corner of her bed as the spider moved again. It had already moved all the way across her room and was now on its way down the wall. Maybe when it got to the floor, or to somewhere she couldn't see it, then she would run across to the door and run out while she could. Then come back later and hope it was gone.
Shrieking quietly as it reached the corner, Charlotte ran over to her door and pulled it open before slamming it behind her tight. "Now that's over and done with," the Hufflepuff muttered darkly to herself as she stomped down the stairs, resolving in a few sharp glances as she reached the bottom, Charlotte slumped into one of the chairs in the common room and watched as everyone went about their daily business, going in, out and through the common room on that Saturday afternoon, doing homework, talking to friends and wondering when they were going to be able to go to Drakbourough. The naivity of some people was amazing.
Though, Charlotte had to admit she was curious as to when she would be allowed out of the common room for a day without feeling the constraints of having to watch out for her two Prefects and other members of the Hufflepuff house. And considering she had been good, lately, maybe Forgoil would be considering it soon.
But until then...
Sighing, Charl picked up a copy of Which Broom off one of the tables and curled into the armchair, wondering just when the spider would be gone so she could return to the confines of her dorm. That way, she wouldn't have to deal with anyone. That was the way she liked it. bg
