Roan and Charlotte had left Elorra some way back. It was likely the faerie had a headache after hitting her head with that much force against the wall, but it wouldn't matter to her. The hyperactive girl would be able to shake it off in no time at all.
Though the cheering charm Roan had hit her with didn't seem so easy to shake off. Charlotte, or Lottie as she was now appearing to be, was chattering none stop on the way to the common room, nibbling on the sugar cubes Elorra had given her back.
"So who's here? You haven't told me yet! Really, you haven't! You need to tell me! Which way is it now? Left? Or straight on? Or did we miss it already?" Charlotte asked, running on ahead a little to try and figure it out. It was then she saw a classroom door abandoned, its door looking weathered. "Gotcha!" she grinned, running up to the door and speaking the password it had said in her letter.
Entering the common room itself sent the girl's brown eyes into a dancing frenzy. "I love it!" she giggled, calling out as she flopped into a chair: "Is anyone hooooooooome?"
OOC: Sorry, Roan.... Just figured I needed to get Miss Charlotte in here sometime soon Oh, why that does indeed tickle my fancy!.
Kasey sat in her arm chair near the fire, there was someone she was waiting to talk to, Charlotte. The nurse had heard some not so good things about her fellow Hufflepuff since the moment Charlotte, or Lottie as she was well known, had walked through the Entrance Hall doors. The blonde had heard things, things like rude notes being written to the professors instead of assignments, rudeness and sarcasim in class. Truly Kasey had been gobbsmaked.
Sitting up as she heard the entrance to the Common Room slide open, the girl she was looking for pranced in. Kasey quirked an eyebrow at the brunette as she danced across the Common Room like she was good ol' Lottie again, but Kasey knew it was an act. Standing up from her chair, the look on the Hufflepuff's usual cheery face was a stern and disappointed one. Her heart held concern for her friend, what had happened to her. "Lottie, I want a word" the nurse said in a firm tone as she watched the girl bounce around the room.

As quickly as the cheering charm had been put on, it disappeared, leaving the emotionless face of Charlotte behind and one raised eyebrow. The brunette hadn't even realised Kasey was here. And now she wanted a word?
Flopping back dejectedly into a chair, Charlotte rolled her eyes. "What about?" she asked sharply, her tone not giving away any kind of emotion but annoyance. Boy was she going to get Little-Miss-Prefect back for that cheering charm. Too many of them had been placed on her already, and she did not want any more.
She had noticed the uncharacteristic firmness in the blonde girl's voice and had almost laughed. It was so un-Kaseyish that it was beyond belief. "But I haven't got long, so it'd better be quick, k?"

"Little Lottie let her mind wander Little Lottie thought, am I fonder of ice-cream or balloons or of cake?", came a voice from the top of the stairs. And once more in his existence, Forgoil Halifirien made one of his signature entrances. It seemed that everytime he had come into any conversation, it was by way of stairs; perhaps it was his small flair for the dramatic coming out or perhaps he was simply doomed by Fate to enter like this. Forgoil's grey hair seemed to have lost it's silvery shine that was usually and his few, old complinants from Magical Horizons still gave him little peace.
His eyes also seemed to lost their luminous shine, not only because he was somewhat depressed, but because of a rather rude insult that was hurled at him from a passing Slytherin. "Badgers? We don't need no stinking badgers!"; those were the boy's very words, only they were accompanied by a rude gesture and a glob of spit. When this had happened, the insulted Scot wanted to sink his fist into the boy's nose, but he had more control over himself and wouldn't lose his house any points. Not that it seemed to matter, for Hufflepuff was already behind in the running; they had fallen so far from the glory they once had.
As Forgoil's eyes gazed from Kasey to Lottie, he quietly made his way in front of Lottie and placed his hands on her shoulders; a glimmer of a smile showing. "Hello there Lottie; I hadn't heard that you transfered to Firefox, so I am sorry that I didn't meet with you sooner. Things have not been the best for our House, and I would hate to see things worsen. So if I may ask you; how are things and what's will that droll look on your face? Don't make me shake you silly until you spill whatever it is you are hiding Lottie?"
"So are you going to tell me as a friend or must I enforce my new duties and ask you then when you cannot refuse?"bg

Kasey hadn't answered before another familiar face made its way into the room and rather patronisingly placed his hands on her shoulder. Squirming out, the brunette swung her legs over the side of the chair and rolled her eyes.
"How many more times do I have to tell people I'm not Lottie anymore?!" she asked frustradedly, leaning against a wall and preparing to push off and move if Forgoil came in that direction. Crossing her arms in front of her, the brunette girl shook her head. "How many more times do I have to say I'm Charlotte?! Is it that difficult. Add on 'Char' and get rid of the 'i'," she explained, shaking her head agian.
Smirking in the boy's direction, she added: "Besides, you can't make me do anything."

My; now here was a rebellious spirit if Forgoil had ever seen one. What had suddenly come over Lottie? He had never heard her ask him to call her by her full name, nor had she ever been so spiteful towards him. She may have avoided him when she was frightened or not wanting to talk with him, but to outright tell him off like that was a entirely new realm for her to enter into. But when she challenged his ability to make her do anything, Forgoil smiled inwardly while he kept a stoic expression on his face. With a quick wink to Kasey, Forgoil advanced toward Charlotte with his hands held out apologetically at his sides while saying, "You will have to excuse me Charlotte; I didn't know that you suddenly decided to have yourself referred to by your full name. But if that is your wish Charlotte; then I shall abide by it."
"Though", said Forgoil; the tone of his voice increasingly to somewhat of a trickster, "You will be hard pressed to stop me from making you talk Charlotte." With that said, Forgoil threw himself over at Charlotte and tackled her to the floor. The Scot was much larger than Charlotte, both in height (6') and weight(165lbs), so he could keep her pinned to the floor all day until she talked if he wanted to. His smile never appeared to be this bright in the past nor did he seem so...exuberent about something like this before. "Well well Miss Charlotte; now you are going to have to hear me out and then I will get to hear your end of the tale.", said Forgoil; his pleasant appearance never faltering.
"How come you have seemingly rejected your past Charlotte? Do you wish to forget all the wonderful times you had? The adventures you had from when we first meet to winning the last Quidditch Match? What has come over you to do such a thing; it isn't like you at all. Now the Charlotte McCarthney that I know would be giggling her head off and tickling me in an attempt to get me off of her, yet I don't think I will get that reaction from you. What is wrong Charlotte, because whether you are Lottie or Charlotte; you are still like a little sister to me. I care for you; let me help you, or if not then tell me what I can do to make things easier for you."
"And letting you up is not one of those options, so I am afraid you will have to choose something else.", said Forgoil with a grin. If Little Lottie wanted to fight a war, then a war she would get.bg

Charlotte had spotted the warning signs and was about to kick off the wall and over on the other side of the room just as Forgoil tackled her to the floor and pinned her down. "Get off me!" she started protesting as the Prefect told her she would listen to him. Even though she kept on trying to get up to no prevail, Forgoil asked her a series of questions with that annoying grin on his face.
If she could move, she would floor him easily. Or not.. but she was vertically challenged compared to him.
As the memories came rushing back, though, Charlotte scowled. That last Quidditch match had been nightmareish in the worst form, and he had to bring it up, didn't he? Squirming again, Charlotte eventually lost the tension and simply sighed. "Look, what does it even matter to you? You didn't even know I was here til just now, and already you're being like this and you say I've changed?" she ranted quietly, knowing she had indeed changed, but it was her own fault.
"I think you'd best make letting me up one of those options," she grumbled. If Kasey hadn't called her over, she would have made it out of here and wouldn't have got in this situation. "You just need to accept changes, Forgoil. And trust me, this one won't be going away any time soon no matter what you do."
Kasey could have rolled her own eyes at the attitude that Lottie showed to wards her, "I will take as long as needed" she said still set in her firm tone. Another voice caused her to look to wards the dormitory stairs only to see Forgoil ascending them. It felt good to have the Scot there to help her out, she felt it would take more than the words of a nurse to turn this ship around.
As Forgoil gave her a wink, Kasey smirked intrigued at what he had in store for the little brunette. She could have laughed out loud as Forgoil pinned 'Charlotte' to the floor and demanded she talk. The blonde nurse stood with arms folded across her chest as the two shared words. The girl's tone was still unkind and she seemed to disregard the boy's feelings for her.
Moving over to the pair, her face set in a frown Kasey looked down at Charlotte. She said nothing for the moment, what was there to be said? This girl, this intruder, seemed set in her ways and there was no way of getting around it. "No matter what you say, you are and always be Lottie to me" the nurse practically snapped at the wriggling girl underneath Forgoil, "Do what you want, say what you will, but we will never forget who you truly are".
:~: The morning was a cold one, winter in January was a new thing for the blue-haired Hufflepuff. It was the morning the whole house had met Carmen. Lottie's eyes had lit up at the site of someone new and she had reeled off a whole string of questions.
"Hello! I'm Lottie! Who are you? Are you new? I haven't seen you around before! When did you get here? Did you come by the train? I did! It was great. Do you like balloons? I think red ones are the best ever! Please don't tell me you like mint choc chip ice cream too. You don't, right? You like strawberry! Everyone does, apart from those who like mint choc chip. But I'm babbling," she said all in one breath, before pausing for a second to take another much needed gasp of air.
"But what about cake? And JELLY!! Jelly's great. So's Hufflepuff! I bet you're glad you got sorted into here! How are you anyway?" she asked, before turning to the rest of the group, and running around to leap on Wyl's back.
*~*
"Thou has no tongue for words I perceive. Perhaps then, thou would prefer to show thy apology by another gesture. What would sweet fair maiden say to a kiss from her handsome bespectacled...er...noble?" Grinning cheekily now, he looked at Lottie for a reply.
"I...I..." she stuttered, her cheeks going that little bit more rosy, but then she decided to play along. "Kind Sir, I would not be the one to object your proposal," she tried, her voice quiet as she lowered her eyes a little. The memory of Wyl and Lottie's first kiss was a sweet one Kasey had sat there wide eyed but she couldn't have been happier.
*~*
All the flashback were almost too much for the nurse as she felt tears prickling the back of her eyes, "No matter what we will get Lottie back" Kasey said as one tear managed to escape, causing the blonde to swipe at it almost angrily.

Charlotte slowly but surely stopped wriggling not long after Kasey had snapped at her. It was strange, really. Changes happened. Heck, they had accepted the change of moving from their old school to here, why couldn't they accept the fact that perhaps she had changed? Now, she would no longer be annoying everyone by keeping them awake all night and bouncing off the walls. Nowadays, the little brunette kept herself to herself, not allowing anyone to get close, not letting anyone in. The last time she had done that, she had ended up breaking away from the one person she had let the closest.
As the blonde nurse swatted a tear away, Charlotte let a small laugh out. "There's no need to cry, Kasey. I promise. You'll get used to it in time. Everyone will. They'll have to, seriously. Like I said before, I'm staying as I am, and there's nothing you two, or anyone else, can do about it. Even the Professor's have accepted me for who I am. They've accepted Charlotte and deal with it in their own ways."
Trying to get up again, and failing, Charlotte's brown eyes narrowed and stared right into Forgoil's green-grey ones. "And if Forgoil here would let me up, I could help you accept it!" With the final two words, the brunette girl brought her legs up and aimed for the groin area with perfect target.
Post by Forgoil Halifirien on Feb 11, 2006 11:14:24 GMT -5
Now there was a low blow; right to the groin and Lottie's aim was true. Forgoil's eyes instinctively shut and he collasped on top of Lottie in a heap. It hurt like the Dickens where she kicked him, and after rolling off of the smaller girl; the grey-haired Scot attempted to stand as his body stiffened in pain. Why did she have to do that? She wouldn't have kicked any body else, especially if it was a girl, but she had it in her to kick him? It didn't make any sense; this was so illogical, yet there was a part of Forgoil that had begun to hate this "new" Lottie.
The thought formed in his mind that she would never again be the smiling and happy girl that most knew her as, and if those days were over then he as Prefect would be forced to take action. Though what sort of action that he needed to take was entirely his choice; it all depended on how he felt. And he could do it as well; kicking a Prefect in the groin was definitely something that could land anyone in trouble.
"Miss McCartney", Forgoil weakly gasped; still trying to recover from the assault on his privates, "Who would have guessed you had the nerve in you to do what you just did. I certainly didn't; and now I paid a small price. But until you return to your senses, I am afraid that you will have to pay a much larger one. Charlotte McCartney, also known as Lottie McCartney, for attacking a Prefect, insubordination of the first degree, and who knows what else; I sentence you with the power invested in me to be contained in this Common Room. You will not leave; food will be brought to you until you can come to your senses."
"Who would have thought that Little Lottie would force me to make her a prisoner in the House that she was once a Queen of. Such a pity that time has changed something in you Lottie; I still hope to see you change, but you have demonstrated that you wish to be dealt with as a malefactor to the Peace; so be it."
Stumbling with pain, Forgoil grabbed hold of a chair and dragged it so that it was right alongside the entrance. And there he sat in pain and agony, not as much of the body any more, but of the mind. Would they ever see the Real Miss McCartney? Or was Fate all too cruel in it's choices?bg
Post by Lottie McCartney on Feb 11, 2006 11:48:49 GMT -5
Charlotte scrambled up and had opened her mouth to say something else when Forgoil's words sounded into the room. "Y..You're grounding me?!" she questioned, crossing her arms in front of her. How could he ground her? It wasn't right! "If you hadn't pinned me down and just accepted the change, then I wouldn't have had to do it! It was provoked," she ranted as she watched the Scot pull a chair beside the entrance. There was no way he would be moving from that spot any time soon.
Looking at Kasey for support for the briefest of moments before realising she wouldn't likely get any, she continued: "Fine!" before turning on her heel and storming up the stairs to the girl's dorms.
Broomsticks were sometimes the best things in the world, and most knew Charlotte was a fair flyer on a broomstick.
Kasey winced in pain as she watched Lottie's foot connect with the Scot's crotch, now that was a low blow. Hurrying forward the nurse helped Forgoil to his feet, no smile was going to show anytime soon it had been a long time since Kasey had ever looked so angry. She couldn't take it anymore she had only been in the same room as the 'new' Lottie for 10 minutes, and now she hated her more than anyone in the world.
Running after the brunette up the stairs, Kasey reached out and grabbed Lottie's collar, swinging her around slamming her back into the wall. Before she could think the blonde clenched her left fist and swung it at Lottie, hitting her square in the mouth. After she had done the horrible deed Kasey shook with a mixture of shock and pure anger.
Dropping Lottie's coller from her grasp, letting her fall onto the stairs Kasey stood over her breathing hard. She knew she would be punished for such actions but it was done, no one could turn back the clock and she was ready to take whatever would be dished out to her.

ooc: -cheers- It's about time someone did that!
bic: As Charlotte was dropped back to the floor, she brought a hand to her now painful jaw. Clicking it back into place, brown eyes glared daggers at Kasey. Never had she seen the blonde so angry, but then again, everyone could change.
Standing up shakily, the brunette's eyes locked onto Kasey's blue ones for a matter of seconds before she turned to once again head back up towards her room. As she reached it, Charlotte slammed the door shut and locked it. It was definitely time to leave this hell hole. Or at least the common room. After all, classes could sometimes be good fun.

ooc: Oh, why that does indeed tickle my fancy!! You have no idea how bad I have felt after doing that
bic: Kasey watched as the brunette stood slowly to her feet, her brown eyes boring into Kasey's blue ones. She watched as Lottie shakily retreated to her room, slamming the door, the lock giving a small click.
Walking back down the staircase and into the Common Room, the nurse looked down at her hand. Her fist was a little swollen and purple, with a small nick on two of her fingers where they had connected with the girls jaw. Then the dull throbbing came. "Looks like I'm taking myself to the Wing" Kasey said with a lopsided smile to the grey-haired Scot.bg
