A great sign was now posted in each of the House locker rooms.
QUIDDITCH RULES
The Game of Quidditch at Firefox University shall be played in a very intruiging way. As most of the site runs on the 'writing roleplaying' feature, it is the choice of the Headmaster and his associates to make Quidditch run on a different feature. The season shall be played throughout the school year to determine the winner of the Quidditch Cup.
The next Season's beginning date is August 8th, 2009. On this date, all wizards and witches on the site will be given Quidditch Stats by the Headmaster.
Members of a Team:
Chasers (3)
Beaters (2)
Seeker (1)
Keeper (1)
Balls involved in a Quidditch Game:
Bludgers (2)
Quaffle (1)
Snitch (1)
Ball explanations are as followed:
Bludger - Dangerous Ball. When a direct hit with one happens, a person loses 2 points from every stat.
Quaffle - Main ball. Carried by Chasers and when thrown through a hoop, will achieve goal for team. Must be kept from entering the hoop by Keepers.
Snitch - The Seeker's Ball. When found, game is over - not always in favor of catching team.
Quidditch Stats and Explanations are as followed.
Quidditch Stats:
SP (Shot Points)
BP (Beater Points)
IP (Intercepter Points)
DP (Dodge Points)
KP (Keep Points)
Explanation:
Shot Points - These are perhaps the most crucial points in the game. They determine the offensive capabilities of getting a goal. It is recommended that a good Chaser have high Shot points. One can attain more Shot points by shooting a lot in a game or in a practice game, regardless of their current shooting ability.
Beater Points - These are probably the most tricky points in the game. To have a member with high Beater Points is quite possibly the way to win any game. These determine the accuracy of a Bludger shot at a character. One can attain more Beater Points by participating in duels.
Interceptor Points - Determine the ability to intercept a pass. Can be raised in game or in practice matches.
Dodge Points - Determine the ability to dodge a bludger shot. Can be raised in game or in practice matches.
Keeper Points - Determine the ability to oppose both IP and SP. Can be raised in game or in practice matches.
The Dice Feature
The Dice Feature has been installed by Lord Azrael to raise the game's difficulty. YES, it is the thing creating all the 'bg's and 'thread's. You won't hate it so much when you use it though. When rolling a die, it will give you a random number. That must be added to your stats during confrontation. More on how to use the dice feature once the Headmaster actually figures it out himself.
A mock game is as follows -
Phugsius has an SP of 10.
He approaches Morgan, the Keeper, who has 15 KP.
Phugsius rolls his dice, and gets a 14, Morgan, on the other hand, rolls a 20.
Phugsius's sum is 24, while Morgan's is 35.
Morgan catches the ball.
Then Morgan throws it to Sam.
However, Malachy goes to intercept the ball. He has an IP of 10.
Sam, on the other hand, has a KP of 5.
Both roll a 20.
With a sum of 30 and 25, Malachy intercepts the ball.
This makes Sam angry. Sam goes to hit him with a bludger.
Sam has a BP of 24.
Malachy has a DP of 5.
Sam rolls a 6
Malachy rolls a 20.
Sam's sum is 30, while Malachy's is 25.
Malachy is hit by the bludger, and he loses the ball to Sam and all of his stats go down by 2.
The Seeker
The Seeker is a more complicated role. As like Magic Horizons Quidditch, for all who attended there, the Snitch will be posted in a thread somewhere. This will only occur after a certain amount of actual posts (around 20-30) IN GAME have passed. The seekers will then be given a riddle to solve to find it. The post time will increase with each passing game in the season, for further intensity.
Quidditch Captains:

Ravenclaw: Morgan Pendragon
Hufflepuff: Unannounced
Slytherin: Unannounced
