Another Dueling Fields thread pour moi…oh la vache…
And I don't want to make this invite only, just because it is requested that stops (Sorry Mury), but I will say this. Only come to this thread if you will sit back and watch the duel and have a very good excuse for being out of bed at 4 frieking AM and down by the Dueling Fields. If you mean to interfere, speak to the duelists in any way, please stay out.
Four AM. Meet Muryllis down at the Dueling Fields at Four AM. Lucky for her, she arrived at about 3:40, looking around for any signs of life. Her wand was out and light was emitting from the tip to illuminate her way as it was too early for the sun to be up and about. There was no sign of the Ravenclaw she had seen earlier, so the girl decided to wait there for him, ready to duel at any moment. Why couldn’t he have picked a better morning though? You know, maybe a warm one? Her breath was coming out as a fog, though she thankfully wasn’t shivering. Simple sweatpants and a long sleeved shirt was all she wore, no coat against the winter cold. They were just too hard to move in, and she needed all the mobility she could get with this duel coming up. It was bound to be a hard one.
After Muryllis had left she had promptly went to her room and crashed on her bed, falling asleep for a few hours to get some rest as he had ordered. That was well enough, she liked to sleep these days, and made sure that she woke up with plenty of time to be alert for the duel. Roan hadn't eaten anything though, her stomach was just rebelling against her. There was that pit there that told her that she just didn’t want to do this, didn’t want to fight Muryllis. He had asked of it though, and so she would oblige, just so she could go along and help him fight his enemy, Syrus.
Maybe he just didn’t understand some things. After that war, so many people had been hurt, and many had been her friends, including him! She had been so worried about them, and now wanted them to be nothing more then safe. Him especially, Roan never wanted to see him in that state again. And now he was practically walking into his own death and was being so prideful and stubborn that he wasn’t taking an ally with him to aid. Well, what he probably couldn’t realize is that even if he thrashed her here today, she would still be helping him. Even if to set a hair on Syrus’s head on fire. Anything.
“Come on Muryllis.” She said under her breath, wanting very badly to get this over with. Roan ran her free hand through her brown locks, hazel eyes keeping a strong eye on her surroundings, waiting for her opponent. Waiting for her friend.
