A wave of fire passed over the grass of the dueling field. Among the midst of the night Phugsius Charadus stood in the middle of the field breathing heavily sweat dripping from his brow. The boy made his way over to the bleachers on the field and took a drink from his Slytherin water bottle. He dried his head with his "I <3 Slytherin" Towel. He took a seat and leaned on his knees recovering from the effot he was exerting. He leaned back on the seat behind him and gazed up at the stars above.
His mind fell on the meeting he had on the field days ago with Niobi. He let out a torn sigh. He was absolutely enchanted with her red hair. Her blue eyes seemed to prod at his heart. He had to do something to make up for his stupidity.... He kicked himself mentally.
Those thoughts were abruptly ended as fire started erupting from his hands, he had been thinking about matters of love, of course. The boy cleared his mind and felt himself relax. Ok, now he was ready to continue. Phugsius stood in the middle of the field focusing himself.
Jack stood just out site of the actual stadium and he blended perfectly with the shadows. No one could see him. He could smell the boy's sweat from here. And he could hear his heart racing to pump blood to that empty organ called a brain. His nocturnal site. better than that of an owls, could see the vain in his neck pulse from exertion.
He watched as he used magic to cast fire. and was comforted but his read, dragon skinned cape. it was completely fire proof and as resistant to most magic, Much like the dragon that had once owned it. He watch the Sytherin student for a while and watch him rest a moment and wondered then if he should strike, he wasn't hungry, but the boy had been described to Romulus by That female vampire and he had over heard. So he knew this boy was an enemy too their kind. He wanted to show this boy exactly what he was dealing with.
But then the boy got back up and walked back to the field. He wondered... What would happen if he had a real target, one that fights back. Jack stepped out of the shadows and into the star light. Revealing his new hair and his rough yet strong look. He was behind the student and his footfall was undetectable. He walked ten paces behind the boy and then spoke. "So, you think you have what it takes to defeat us?"
A lazy drawling voice echoed from the opposite end of the duelling field. Sylph had been watching Phugsius’ developing skills with interest, and, much to her own annoyance and disgust, had not noticed the intruder until he deliberately revealed himself. It was obvious that he wasn’t human; not only was he deathly ugly, but he had announced as much to anyone within earshot. The deputy headmistress of Firefox stepped forward herself, her purple locks stained dark in the starlight and her eyes glittering. Her wand was already in her hand, held steady at her side.
Her eyes raked over the brute before her, noting his unusual garb – easily recognisable to a woman who liked to wear dragon-hide herself – and she allowed a smirk to cross her lips. One vampire, two elementalists. This was not going to be a fair fight.
“I’d set his hair on fire, if I were you Phug,” she said, her voice perfectly calm and even. “I can even hold him still while you do it, if you like.” Her wand hand barely flinched, but at once a roaring gale was at her back, powerful and yet – for the moment – restrained. She chanced a quick glance at the Slytherin boy, wondering if he was up to the challenge before deciding that he would probably relish the opportunity to kill one of the creatures he hated most in all the world. A wink and a casual jerk of the head said it all; go ahead, do your thing.
((I know you started this a while back, Phug, but let’s pretend it’s rather more recent in the IC timeline, eh?))

(OOC: Alrighty )
Phugsius had just started focusing again let the sound of crackling of flames echo within him. He was beginning to feel his flames erupting within him when a voice shattered his concentration.
"So, you think you have what it takes to defeat us?"
He turned to see an incredibly ugly beast staring at him and a pang of rage shot through him immediately. He knew these creatures... Nosferatu, they was stronger and faster than a normal vampire and he was sure to be a challenge for the Slytherin prefect. In fact without help, his chance of survival were-
"He probably does by now, you know."
Low and behold the cavalry had arrived and interrupted his despairing train of thought. The purple-haired Sylph didn't need to tell him twice to go to work. He drew his wand quickly, "Nosferatu you just made the biggest mistake of your unlife" A passionate inferno of hatred burned in his black irises.
"Bombardus Luminos" A light simulating the brightness of the sun flew from his wand. This would fool the vampire into thinking the sun had risen or atleast blind him while a hole appeared underneath him.
"Defodio!" A hole roughly the size of a grave appeared beneath the vampire's assumed position and Phugsius immediately sent a raging wave of fire into it causing a flame to consume the entirety of hole.
Whether the vampire was actually in the hole was left up to a guess. Phugsius watched as the blinding light dissipated. Rage still boiling inside of him ready to send more fire at anything that moved and wasn't obviously Sylph.
"No, no, no This just won't do." Jack had bade his way to an area of the field the had a control box for obstacles that where in the field. His speed had made it impossible for the flame to even touch him not to mention his Dragon hide would have protected him to a degree.
"You see, I challenged you Mr. Snake-lover. I did not challenge the woman, and if you want to prove anything to me or my kind then you will fight on your own." Said the vampire as it .looked at the controls. "If you refuse a one-on-one fight, and she ends up helping you, then you will loose any chance you have of vanquishing me, though even alone your chances of even coming close are nearly none." The shadow of the control box was only sensible with his eyes and it was even darker than the other shadows, cast by the lack of sunlight. If Ms. O'Dell didn't back down, and if a certain shade, he had yet to meet, Dared showed up, he would be gone.
Cowardice maybe, but you see the cowards almost always survive. And if her ran he would not leave empty handed he was only here because he was bored really, yes Elle had said something about him but it was her grudge not his in truth he just wanted to play, and if he happened to get the boy's blood well that was just a plus.
Sylph was actually rather impressed by Phugsius’ initial barrage of spells. He had first of all refused the obvious, and opted for a more complicated, but no doubt more effective sequence of well planned attacks. The kid was obviously a master duellist in the making. Admittedly, Sylph was temporarily blinded – not the most useful thing in the world – but she had to admit that it was a pretty cool effect. Evidently it was all in vain, however, for the nosferatu streaked across the field, a death ridden blur, and proceeded to talk complete bollocks.
“Oh shut up,” Sylph scoffed. “So far you’ve not actually challenged anyone, not that you have the right to dictate terms regarding anything on school grounds. Furthermore,” she added, hiding the fact that the wind around her was building, blowing across the entire field now. “I think two wizards actually have a better chance of, uh, vanquishing you than just one.” Her voice was deeply scornful now, derisive in the extreme. “Oh, and did I mention that these are school grounds?” At the merest nod of her head, the wind ceased to be a gale and became something else, something more. Eurus surged forward and wrapped himself about the vampire in the form of a tornado, preventing the rotten being from moving. Not even a nosferatu could outrun the wind. Even if Jack had started to flee the moment she started talking, the fierce east wind would have caught up with him before he managed to leave the grounds. Once the vampire was completely trapped, she completed her sentence.
“I run the show here,” she finished, once the vampire was completely trapped. She glanced at Phug, a twinkle in the depths of those green eyes. “Well me and my friend here. What d’ya say, Phug? You think we let him go to tell his mates that? Or do we stick an axe in his skull? I hear that’ll even kill one of these things.”

Observing that his attack did absolutely no good, Phugsius immediately looked toward the sound of the idiotic vampires voice, his anger immediately growing. This creature had some gall coming into the wizarding community and demanding to fight one on one, and what was he prattling on about? It obviously wasn't anything relevant.
Finally Sylphs voice broke into his mind after a few thoughtful moments of ways to take this thing down. Phugsius may not have agreed with some of the things the witch said but she certainly possesed a flair for using words and instilling fear in people, himself included. "No, I think the headmaster needs evidence that these things have been attacking students on school grounds. Letting him escape is out of the question. Turning him into a nice pile of ash, however, might suffice".
It looked to Phugsius like she had used the very winds around the vampire to hold him still. This would be a great time to wear him down. Phugsius's held his holly and phoenix wand aimed at the vampire.
"Accio Dragonscale Cloak" The cloak was yanked off of the held vampire and flew into the hands of Phugsius. He had realized just moments before casting the spell that the cloak must have been made from Malachy's dragon ghosts body. That's why he clearly wasn't afraid of fire, but now it would seem he would be shaking in his boots without it's protection.
Phugsius decided another attempt at this vampire was in order. Not with fire this time.
With a wave of his wand a wooden stake formed from the nearby forest flew straight toward the Nosferatu's heart. This wouldn't kill him, it would put him into a state of rest from which he could not wake until the stake was removed. This would allow them to transport the body to Talon as unliving proof that vampires were an actual threat.
The Nosferatu was angered, not at the witch though he was at first. He was enraged at the boy. But the boy had made a big mistake. According to his Accio spell that wind wasn't neary powerful enough to hold him completely still. Because the wind wasn't string enough to hold his cloak to his body. Was the witch's power weaker than her students.
The vampire looked at the panel and just as the stake was closing the distance kicked it with vampiric speed, and accuracy. And a wooden tree popped up out of the ground intercepting the stake and making it crash into the stands. Now there was a tree in front of him and it cast a nasty shadow. The obstacle was only temporary so the tree vanished but when it did so had the vampire, into the shadows.
Now, they had the entire body of a dragon he would get another cape and he would he retrieving his original from the boy in due time, but this vampire kept his promise the witch had interfered and he was gone, they had lost their chance to vanquish the vampire. Not only that they had said quite a bit that he would make false. Like that his kind where a threat, now was not the time to honor such knowledge but he would be speaking with Romulus about their new plans.
"What a wuss," Sylph snorted as the Nosferatu, the supposed master of the night, fled from the pitch. "Nice try, anyway," she told the Slytherin without looking at him; she was too busy scanning the edges of the field for any signs of movement. She doubted that there would be any - or indeed that if there were she would be able to detect them with her less than perfect eyesight - but it was worth keeping a guard up.
"I think you'd better get in now," she continued, her bright eyes still flickering at the horizon. "I don't think he's likely to come back, but if he does it's probably best that you're not here. You can practice another time. And hey," she added, her twinkling gaze finally resting on Phug for a moment. "At least you got a spiffy cloak out of it."

Phugsius was about to begin ranting about about how cowardly vempires were and how they were in general just plain evil. He held his tongue because it would have been absolutely pointless to do so. There might also have been solace in the fact that he got a nice trophy in the process. "Yeah" a sly smirk growing on his lips, "He must have been a newly turned vampire. It appeared he had absolutely no skill with his undead powers, otherwise he would not have requested a one on one fight" He smiled at the idea of how the fool had tried to attack him. "If I know vampire societies like I think I do, he'll get a very severe reprimand for making us aware of their prescence. You may also want bring this issue to the headmaster, just in case those creatures are trying to turn students"
His emerald eyes locked nto the witches with a sincere grin, "And thanks for help, My chances of survival would have been very low if I was by myself against a Nosferatu, newly turned or not". With that he slung his new cloak over his shoulder and headed back to the University grinning.
