In the Magical World there are some creatures that the Ministry puts in the section of 'Being', but away from the Human race. A number of which dwell on the lands around the University - quite accessable by the students. This section of the handbook is to warn against them.
The Vampire Race
The Vampires are an ancient race of reanimated corpses filled with the power of darkness and a cursed bloodstream that keeps them preserved and morbidly beautiful. They survive off of a diet of the blood of living creatures, for they long to feel as if they were half alive again. Vampires reproduce through the process of siring, which is when a Vampire drains a living victim to the point of near death and then feeds them the cursed blood flowing through their own veins. Vampires reproduce this way BECAUSE THEY ARE STERILE AND CANNOT HAVE CHILDREN NATURALLY.
The Nosferatu are an evolved race of Vampires, stemming from when Vlad Dracula was sired by Darkness itself. These creatures have a different beauty to them, as they are rotting corpses that have the same intelligence as a Vampire but far more power and stamina than their counterparts. They are far superior to the Vampire, save for their lack of outer beauty. It is their Castle which lies nearby Firefox.
(You may apply to be either a Vampire or a Nosferatu, but it is at the discretion of the Headmaster that you may receive this position.)
The Lycans
A new addition to the Handbook - it is confirmed that Lycans have made their presence known in Spain, most noteably in that of Fenris Fenrir, who calls himself [and is qualified to be] Lord of the Forest. His existence and his guardianship over the Forest make it even more extremely dangerous and thus more forbidden than it even was before.
A Lycan is different from a Werewolf - as a Werewolf is a sympathetic human who was bitten and therefore has no control over his subsequent transformations, a Lycan is completely in control of their actions. Once they are bitten they have total power over their ability to transform into Wolven and Human form - the only way to tell a difference between a Wolf Animagus and a Lycan is the immense strength and speed that comes from their race, as well as the wolven tendencies that come with them.
Lycans, though they have origins in humans, are no longer wizard or muggle. Like Vampires and Nosferatu, they are incapable of magic in exchange for their new powers.
(You may apply to be a Lycan, but it is at the discretion of the Headmaster that you will receive this position.)
The Fae[/u]
These are a race of creatures from an elder time when all of the aspects of nature were considered sacred to humans. They represent the trees, the soil, the water, even fire and the winds. Though not truly 'Forsaken', as they are not directly harmful to humans, these Beings live as long as their mortal anchor (such as their tree, if they are a Dryad, a Tree Spirit, or a river, if they are a Naiad, a Water Spirit) and thus live much longer lifespans than humans, and thus see the world differently and the massive differences between their culture and human culture could prove deadly.
The majority of Nymphs and Spirits on Firefox's campus live in the nearby Nymph Woods, a pleasant forest that is almost too pristine to be real. There are legends that it moves around, and has not always been in the place where it currently is. Though it may appeal to you to 'see the Fae', it is the extreme advice of the administration to stay away from them - but it is certainly preferred to entering Fenrir's Wood.
(You may apply to be a Spirit/Nymph, but it is at the discretion of the Headmaster that you may receive this position.)
The Nephilim
The Nephilim are biblical creatures, children of the Sons of God and the Daughters of Men. They are considered giants among men, though they are shorter than their fathers, the Fallen Angels (7 feet for a Male Nephilim). They are the most beautiful creatures alive, though their very birth is cursed. The fire of Hell burns in their very veins, and they are cruel as well as seductive. They are scattered throughout the world, tinkering with the fates of all who live there. Fear them, especially their seductive ways. (You may apply to be a Nephilim, though you must provide an example of your roleplaying skill.)
