Chika wanted to go out side today. Today was finally sunny after all this rain. It was nearly spring time and Chika couldn't wait for all the plants to bloom. She was getting antsy about the whole thing. She was ready for it to arrive.
Chika was on her way out of the castle to enjoy some nice sun. When she opened the door a some what warm breeze greeted her hair and started spinning it around. Chika felt the sun on her feet as she exited.
Chika began walking down the all too familiar path to the lake. She loved this lake. It was the only place where she didn't have to deal with her problems other people gave her.
As Chika arrived she found a soft spot of grass that was not wet. She sat on the ground and tucked her dress under her. She looked at the lake near by. She sat there wondering if that old wife's tale she heard of worked.
Chika got up and moved to the lake. she looked into the water to see what would happen.

Ryo had been strolling around outside for nearly an hour now. Things were so dead in the castle with everyone away or secluded in the dorms doing homework.
It wasn't quite spring yet and still the sun was shining in a very welcoming manner. He silently thanked Ammaterasu for her life giving rays.
Suddenly his ears picked up the sound of movement. Another student at the lake at this hour? It was unusual enough that he felt the need to investigate.
Careful to not scare the student he recognized as Chika, he smiled and greeted her, "Hey Chika. It's certainly a nice day, right?"

Ashelle had studied hard all winter. She'd done double and triple homework assignments for all the teachers, hell bent on not only being Head Girl but graduating first in her class and with Honors.
By now she'd caught wind of what everyone in her family was so concerned about. Grand Miranda was considering stepping down, but she couldn't till Aunt Ashlee had an heir - or heiress rather. If she did, it would rob Aunt Ashlee of her right to choose her own heiress and force the family to vote.
Ashlee didn't need to be told how such a vote would break the delicate balance of harmony that family had built. Not everyone had made perfect matches, and quiet a few of the mothers weren't thought of as highly as others, yet somehow peace had been kept. A vote could easily tear the fabric of the Triad apart, with each mother voting for her own child or grandchild and no decision able to be reached without large scale abdication across the board.
It had taken Ashelle an entire day after she'd returned from Yule vacation with these gloomy thoughts before she realized the opportunity. What if Aunt Ashlee did pick someone? What if she decided to pick . . . her. Ashelle saw herself being robed as the Grand, a glowing light of triumph shining down about her, but only for a brief moment. She had a LONG way to go, so many ways she needed to improve . . . She'd jumped from her untidy desk and set to work cleaning and organizing her tiny loft room, knowing every small effort would pay off and every second counted.
That had been months ago. Ashelle had never worked so hard in her life. She began returning homework in Muggle Studies and intended to ask for a audience with Professor Sparky, not to try and ask his forgiveness again, but to ask some pointed questions about muggles she needed to hear the answers to.
Today, however, Ashlee was walking down to the empty barn alone. She'd sent the Artemis's home along with Raiku. Preparing to be the Heiress to the Grandhood was taking all of her time and she didn't wish her animals to be neglected. It had been raining for a week and even longer since Ashelle had even thought to get fresh air. However once the thought came into her mind she'd put on her O'Conner jogging suit and threw her school cloak over it just in case.
Soon she reached the lake and was about to plop down, only to find she was not alone. Curious as to why her friend, Hufflepuff Chika Chisama, was looking so intently into the lake, she walk over to her and looked in too, oblivious to the fact that Chika might not notice and be startled.
"What is it?" she asked looking down through the clear water at the bottom of the shallow part of the lake.
Chika looked deeply into the lake as if it was going to do a trick if she watched it. As she stared she wondered if her brother would appear behind her. She believed it would work because of the old tail, that if you looked into a body of water that the person you really wanted to see would appear
Chika didn't even see the people who were coming up behind her. The two people approached her, and then spoke to her. Chika screamed and lost her balance.
Chika when tumbling into the lake. She swirled under the water and then floated up. She popped her head out of the water to see who had spoken to her. Chika looked up at the people. One was Ryo Kanagawa, a person in her class, and the other was Ashelle, her friend.
Chika thought she should respond to there questions. "I was looking in the lake and hoping for something. And it certainly is a nice day Kanagawa-san, a little cold but a nice day non the less." Chika bobbed above the water.

Ryo shot Ashelle an annoyed glance. "Hey Ash, you never taught me..."
He was cut off by an ear piercing scream followed by a large sploosh. A very wet Chika was now informing him of the cold water. Ryo felt a little bad for having shocked her into falling into the water.
Resisting the urge to join in swimming he responded back, "If it makes you feel any better I'm sorry you fell in. Well, did you find what you were looking for?"
The boy turned back to the redhead. "You said you would teach me some healing magic. Instead I was left standing alone in the hospital wing..."
Of course that was only mostly true as soon after Talon, Willow, and Felix had arrived from that other dimension or whatever it was. Though that wasn't the point.
Chika floated in the water. The coldness had started to Dissipate. The water seemed like it was good for swimming. Chika went into the a float. She thought it was nice to look up at the sky
"Don't worry about it, I'm not hurt or anything. But no I Didn't find what I was looking for Kanagawa-san. I don't think it could be found here." Chika swam around for a bit. oh boy the water was nice.
Chika saw Ryo snap at Ashelle. She submerged her self and then popped back up. "Hay Kanagawa-san wan't to swim with me?" Chika waited for his reply.

Ashelle shrieked also, out of surprise then alarm at Chika not getting out of the cold water. "Chika get out of there this minute, you could catch pneumonia, then where would you be? It's still only late March! As Ashelle reached out her hands to help Chika out Ryo accused her of never helping him as she had promised.
"Oh! I'm sorry Ryo, I must have forgotten.* I'll go up with you now if you like - after we get this Penguin Plunger out of the water, that is." Ashelle flinched, but she didn't add 'whatever that is' as she usually did to anything she knew about Muggles. In truth she knew that particular bit of Muggle trivia couldn't be covered by such a simple lie. It was too specific, as she had read about it in a paper covering local events with global -or at least out of the UK- connections. The story had been about a New Castle man who used to spend his winters in the US where they had something called the Penguin Plunge - every New Years Day. Ashlee shook the memory of the ridiculous article and the moronic Muggle from her mind.
"Chika, please! Your getting your clothes all wet and wrecking them! Besides isn't there a game thingie in your pocket? Surely even a magicked Game thingie won't withstand a dunking such as you are giving it."
OOC: *or you must have forgotten to invite me to the thread silly! If you want I'll make a new thread and invite you to it, hows that?

OOC: >< it was supposed to be the basics of medicine post but yea ill make a new one... lesson learned i guess haha
Ryo heard the question but found himself unable to respond. As soon as he locked eyes with the Japanese 'Puff his brain went blank. He could feel his cheeks turning red as he admired her graceful features. The boy looked away from her face in a fruitless attempt to collect his thoughts. Her clothes now heavy with water, clung to her small frame accenting the curves of her body.
The young snake looked down at the ground now, sure he was red enough by this point to be mistaken for angry. The looking away also helped the light-headedness that he began to feel.
"So uhh," he stopped as when he looked up Ashelle was in the middle of chewing out Chika. "Well, I guess I won't be joining you today. I think one student is more than enough hassle for one day."
Ryo chulcked lightly at her calling a DS a "game thingy". Though, to be fair, she had a point. He chose not to get too involved however.
He turned to the frazzled lion. "Yeah, I'd love to. Although I guess we really should get Chika out before she becomes part of our discussion," he said grinning playfully.

Chika was surprised when Ashelle yelled at her for being in the lake. No one had ever done that before. Today was certainly a first. Pneumonia hah Chika had never to pron to sickness. The last time she was sick was when she ran a fever in kindergarten, and she had to stay home on her class trip to the zoo.
Ashelle reached her hand out but chika ignored it for a few more seconds to have Ashell apologize to Ryo. Chika laughed she was called a Penguin Plunger. What was that?
Chika was surprised when Ryo's cheeks went red. Wasn't so the one supposed to be sick. " Kanagawa-san are you alright you look red as a tomato." Chika hoped her would be all right. " He refused then refused her offer to swim.
Chika then got yelled at again by Ashelle. About wrecking her clothes. A little water never hurt anything. The a comment about her DS. Who brought there DS to the lake. That was silly. " All right I'm getting out. Also I didn't bring my DS to the lake silly."
Chika's soaked clothes stuck to her skin. Chika made a make shift cloths line with some branches. She pealed off the wet clothing to reveal her old school swim suit. She tugged it " I'd never be caught with out one of these when going to the lake, never know if your going to fall into the lake.
She then took the clothes and placed them on the rack thing. She pulled out her wand from the dress pocket. She said a spell then pointed at the clothes and then at her self. She was now all dry.
" There all bett... ACHOO." Chika let out a resounding sneeze.

"Yeah, I'm ok," he said weakly still staring at the ground.
Ryo was about to offer Chika some help when he heard the sound of her getting out of the water. She was soaked head to toe. He couldn't help feeling it was a bit his fault although she didn't seem to mind. She even seemed to enjoy her little dip.
Ryo pulled out his wand and tried to remember the drying spell. "Chika-chan, would you like some..."
Was Chika trying to kill him? This was the second time his brain went to mush. The sight of her in her swim suit was making him red all over again. He didn't even know how that was possible at this point. Ryo's knees began to buckle as light-headedness swept over him again. A few moments later everything faded to black.

Ashelle, now satisfied that Chika was drying her clothes turned to Ryo, just in time to catch him as he fell into a dead faint.
"Ryo! Oh dear goddess, doesn't this just take the cake!" Ashelle scooped up the younger student, and turned to Chika.
"Chika will you put your clothes back on and help me get him to the Hospital Wing? I maybe the Quidditch Captain and a Beater to boot, but the lake is pretty far from the castle." Ashelle carefully adjusted her hold on the Slytherin so she could more easily carry him without straining.
"I wish I hadn't sent my Thestrals home," she added, "The barn isn't far from here, we could have gotten one of them to carry him back to the school.
Chika was just about to put on her dry clothes, when Ryo Fainted. Chika flipped on her dress and ran to Ryo's side. " Already ahead of you Ashelle. Let me get my broom it's very sturdy." Chika Called for her broom " Nimbus Come." The broom flew to Chika's side.
She wiggled under Ryo and lifted him up. She supported him on her shoulder and then got on her broom dragging him on to the broom too. " I can get this. You can go ahead and warn the nurse."
Chika tied Ryo to her, with a sturdy string. Then the broom slowly lifted off the ground. It putted and sputtered as it took off at the speed of a turtle. Then the broom when a little faster. " Ok I'll see you there. Hold on Kanagawa-san"
