Jeremy ventured into a small bar in the town of Drakborough, not knowing what to expect of it or the people in there. He walked up to the counter, and ordered a cup of plain water. Jeremy got it instantly, and he paid the small fee. The blond haired boy then sat down at a table near the entrance. The stool he sat on was actually a barrel, which was actually very sturdy. Jeremy periodically took small sips off the glass of water, and began thinking of the people and students he had met. He first met a girl named Michelle. She seemed very insane from when she walked into the door until the time they talked. He could relate to her being new and all, but she new magic from a past school. She tried to teach him some different spells, but he forgot them all. Memory wasn't his strong points, neither was magic so far. Michelle was the one who made him think of classes, and Gryffindor, so he was happy to meet her. She was very nice, but a little deranged.
The next two people he met was Gryffindors' Prefect Sylph, and Gryffindors' hyper-active Fairy, Elora. Both were self-acclaimed hyper-active and the least sane of everyone in the school. They both were very cool to him, and Jeremy was happy to them both before he met another Gryffindor student, which he hasn't yet. Sylph was very helpful, which is one of her Prefect duties. Another duty of hers was to enforce the rules. Elora was very hyper, and was also the first Fairy he seen, besides the ones in legends and stories. He only met two other people, both being professors. He didn't really met them, they just told him what to do for the class assignment. Professor Allington was very nice, and gave out an easy assignment. Professor Hathaway always seemed half away from a mental home. He was very strict, which is needed to be a teacher. But to Jeremy, it seemed he over dosed on strictness. That was the only people he met, which is surprising because this was his fifth day here.
Jeremy just finished drinking the rest of his water, when he saw a mouse. The mouse was carrying a bread crumb in it's mouth, probably from the bar, and was heading to the door. He put the empty cup on the edge of the table, but to far on the edge. It fell on the floor and smashed. Jeremy quickly ran out of the bar, almost stepping on the mouse and slammed the door. The mouse must of came out right after he did, because he was walking through the crowd of people. For some reason the mouse intrigued him, so he started following it. Jeremy bumped into a couple of people, as he tried to stay close to the mouse. Then a foot came onto the mouse's tail, and it let out a small squeal. The man lifted his foot, releasing the mouse of pain. Then the mouse walked into a crack of another store. This store was a pet store, which instantly made Jeremy think, Is this mouse an escapee?
He entered the store, and looked around. He saw the mouse again and saw it go through a hole in the wall. "Well maybe I should look around," Jeremy whispered to himself. He had no money to buy a pet, but still wanted to look for one, just for future reference.
Then a frail looking kid approached Jeremy, and said in a small voice, "Um, excuse me. I am wondering if you please could this this owl. I can't keep it, so please would you?" He looked at the kid, and felt bad for the kid. Jeremy could hear the sadness in this boy's words. "I would be happy to have him as a pet, and don't worry, I'll be nice to him," he said smiling. "Thank you, thank you very much. This tubby ol' owl is named Samus. His diet mainly contains of bread, owl feed, and any other food he can get his claws on," the pale boy replied, with a little tone of happiness in his voice. The boy handed Jeremy a golden cage, which contained a chubby barn owl, and a bag of food for the owl. The kid started to walk away, and when he reached the door he turned around, and said, "Just in case we ever meet again, my name is Lars Claybourne," Then Lars turned around and left the pet store. Jeremy looked at the owl, and said with a smile, "Your now my fourth friend."
