(OOC First post for Teagan please)
You're an idiot for thinking of this.
As usual, Protégé's mind was a vast pool of wisdom in situations like these. Probably something he felt he should pay more attention to, but at the moment, he was choosing to ignore it.
At best, you'll get a door slammed in your face. At worst, you're bound for another country not of your choice.
Quashing these thoughts, Protégé walked back into the inn which he had worked at not long ago. It hadn't really changed much, and the worker at the desk didn't even recognize him. True, his appearance and stature had changed with a bit of time back at the University, but it was still sad on their part that they couldn't recognize a former employee. Considering how Protégé was able to walk right past the clerk without the man even caring. Must think I'm staying here, as a paying customer.
He had heard Firefox was having a dance, and he saw opportunity. Going to a dance would allow him to meet more people, solidify his position, get a bit more knowledge of how things were. But that wasn't the only opportunity he saw.
Ms. Monolayre had come to Drakborough for a reason. Whatever caused her to leave, he knew why she came where she did. Despite her seemingly impenetrable wall of ice, he knew she cared about the place, and was attached to where she had gone to school. However, without being a student or a teacher, there wasn't much she could do to revisit the place.
Unless someone offered her the chance to come to the school.
He knew he was gambling, slightly. He could be wrong, this place could simply be convenient for her. However, intuition made him think otherwise. And anyway, he was drawn to Teagan. A large part of that was her skill, and her animosity to him. He wanted to clear that up, and at least make her feel he's worth more alive rather than dead. Having her neutral to him was dangerous. But also, she intrigued him. Figuring her out would be an interesting puzzle. And Protégé felt this would be a good way onto her good side, and the first step towards unraveling the icy shell.
Walking down the hallway, he finally came to the door marked 210. Taking a deep breath, he knocked on the door, speaking as he did. "Teagan, though I know right now you are preparing to blast me where I stand, I would like a word with you. Just allow me to make a request, and I'll be gone."
