The man - Azrael Jeremiah, as it turned out - shot one of the spells of all spells, and Rioku actually winced, missing the bit where a random being turned up out of no where to pull Leon out of the way. The girl bit her lip, blood gushing through her fingers. Shade had reappeared on the scene, the little ass, and she doubted this new guy was a result of his work at all. She couldn't help but scowl. Likely her fox had gone off to hide, and nervously, he had returned.
She wouldn't even get to say good bye to Halbein.
"I'm fine," she managed to hiss through gritted teeth. "Summon some bandages, don't just sit - " Where had her thoughts gone? Everything seemed rather ... off. It wasn't quite faded, or tinted funny, it just looked wrong, as if she had suddenly been put in to another world. The Slytherin's voice snagged in her throat, along with her ability to breath, and she stared.
At least Leon was actually doing something, the little idiot.
Shade whined and pranced in place, watching the ever-growing anxiety. He sniffed at Rioku's shoe, and the girl kicked out at him, catching him right in the muzzle.
"Get - get out of here!"
She choked on her words - no, a sob, maybe - and glowered at Leon. A duel? A proper duel? For some reason she doubted this Azrael would go for such a thing, maybe because he had just randomly blown a chunk out of her god damned arm for no reason. Yeah, maybe that was it. Rioku let out a puff of air, and promptly choked when she tried to inhale.
There was too much blood.
Shade whined again, walked around her warily. She glowered at him. "Go with Leon. Leon - get out of here, you little idiot, you're just going to get killed."
Where the breath to say that had come from, Rioku hadn't the slightest idea.
Everything was getting rather blurry. She had dropped her wand at some point, and now she wasn't even sure where it was. Logically it was at her side, where her hand was laying on the ground. When had she stopped holding her arm together with her free hand? Huh. Funny how everything seemed to be falling apart like that. It was almost something to laugh at, but Rioku couldn't find the breath to laugh.
"I'm fine," she mumbled, a note of hysterics in her tone, "Take Shade, and if you can find - Acon - "
Where was the bat?
Her vision bled white, and she couldn't breath. Stopped breathing.
