It wasn't a bad thing to do, really, it wasn't. After all, considering circumstances, it was understandable, right?
Waving her wand around the little flat she owned above the joke shop, Hayzie Roberts was almost trying to convince herself that it was a good thing she was going. Sending rugs, cushions, clothes, vases, everything into one small suitcase which shrank items as they went in, the blonde glanced round. Okay, slowly but surely, she was getting there.
After finding out Talon had packed up and left, too, there seemed to be very little keeping the former Gryffindor there at all. Sure, Sylph was keeping shop for Mr. Chang, and there were a few others she would miss, but wasn't that what letters were for?
Besides, she couldn't stay, not now. It was too much like England all over again. Even Fenris was there at practically every turn, and her time in Diadem had shaken the slight girl up more than a little. Heck, pranks didn't even seem to want to come her way anymore. They were what had got her in the situation in the first place. Since then, she hadn't felt the same, either. It was as though there was something there that wasn't there before. A conscience maybe? Something telling her that pranks weren't all just fun and games?
Or maybe, since her eighteenth birthday, she had grown up a little.
Taking the steps down into the shop itself, Hayzie put the remaining products into boxes ready to be shipped off to Hogsmeade where the Weasley twins were awaiting a shipment of new products. Maybe the money from that woudld help her set up in... gods, Hayz herself couldn't believe she was considering it. Leaving the magical world for good and setting up in the Muggle World. Just a clean, simple job. Maybe as a cleaner. After all, she had experience in that field of work. She would rent out a flat and start again. Wasn't she saying just a few years before that all magic had ever caused her was trouble? Even from the day she learnt about her new power it had been bad news.
So, now, it was time to let go, expand her horizons and go back to where she really belonged.
Back to the muggle world.
Returning upstairs after sending the shipment on its way, Hayzie found her suitcase packed and ready to go, the flat empty, and "For Sale" notices in the windows. "May someone else have a better time here than I did," she smiled, gazing out into the street one last time before heading back into the shop, turning the sign from "closed" to "left".
It was time to start again.
