All the way down to Drakborough Roan was grumbling, shuffling her feet through the snow and trying to keep it from settling into her nicely braided brown hair. Her long black cloak was flowing behind her, and she was too frustrated to pull the hood up. The reason, her Transfiguration teacher was a total and complete jerk, who started off the class being a total and complete jerk. Normally Roan would be ok with strict teachers, but this one seemed like he was trying to be mean. The text was hard to read, couldnt keep her attention, which from a book lover, says a heck of a lot. Then the assignment was hard though she suceeded in the end. No, it was time to do something about that teacher even if he had only had one class so far.
And she knew exactly how she was going to do it. Word had reached her ears of a new jokeshop down in town. More then reached her ears, she had seen a few of the pranks and jokes themselves. They gave her so much of a laugh she had forgotten to confiscate the stuff and punish the students. So she had actually asked for directions to the joke shop, and headed out as soon as possible for Roberts' House of Jokes down in Drakborough, the nearby wizarding town. The name was familiar, but the entire way down it didnt ring a bell in the girl's head, so she ignored it and just trudged through the streets, looking for the shop. Finally hazel eyes located it, and she had to stop herself from laughing. She suddenly remembered who 'Roberts' belonged to.
The brunette rushed across the street, her cheeks red from the cold, but her eyes eager as she entered the store and looked around. The shelves were packed and she couldnt even begin to look. But right now her concern was with that last name, that belonged to the old Head Girl of Magic Horizons, and someone she had met on a couple of occasions. Not all of them good, but all the same. She wanted to know if this was Ms. Hayzie Roberts' shop, because that would make things a lot easier. She was new to pranks and jokes, being the quiet girl or fighting girl in school. Now she had dire need of some expertise, and it would help if she knew that expertise.
Roan had heard vague stories about Ms. Roberts pranks. Something about turning a Prefects Bath into a barnyard, setting off fireworks, turning rooms into forests or candy classrooms. All rumors, but after meeting this girl, she thought them true. The people who had told her had been quite sincere afterall. Maybe it was time to start believing them. Her attention was deviated by one of the displays, and she walked over to see what looked like harmless gum. But after hearing the stories, it was no way it was harmless. She just looked at it puzzled for a moment, not bothering to read the wrapper before shaking her head and look around. This place was a work of art, a very, very funny work of art.
