A very important game was fast approaching. Slytherin would be playing against the current leader in the point standings, Hufflepuff. What this really meant was that Slytherin would really be the deciding factor of who won the tournament. If Slytherin lost, the odds were that Hufflepuff would be the winners of the Quidditch cup. It had been bad enough Slytherin had lost the House Cup so badly, but he was elated by how good the quidditch team was doing. If they were to win the Quidditch Cup, at least they could boast that. All they needed was a victory in the upcoming game, along with a few points to beat the score of the winner of the Ravenclaw-Gryffindor game. Fortunately, Hufflepuff's previous top scorer was now playing for Ravenclaw. However, practice was still important.
Despite this, Protégé was suprised, and a little scared, when he was asked to practice with Azrael, the leader of Angelus Morti. True, he had recruited him when he had found out what a great keeper the man was. Still, it was kind of unnerving to know that he was going to practice with one of the most skilled wizards around. The worst part was that Protégé was a seeker. Even if he wasn't a seeker, he'd be a beater, not a chaser. His shooting skills were half the skill of their current chaser, Marina Roeswood. She must be busy if the Lord Azrael wanted to practice against him. Hopefully, Azrael would not turn him into a toad or something if Protégé did badly. However, practice was very important, he had said it himself, so he had to show up at this practice.
He was there now, at the Quidditch Pitch, waiting for the keeper. He had decided to arrive early, partially so he could get a little target practice in, and partially because he didn't want to be late and possibly offend his star keeper. There was no doubt that Azrael was the best keeper in the area, and Protégé would not be the one to cause him to leave the team. Right now he was sitting on his broom, quaffle in hand, waiting for the Lord Azrael. If all went well, the keeper would be well prepared for their next match. True, Protégé was hoping for another performance like their was at the last game, where Marina had the ball after every shot, but it always helped to have a skilled keeper. He'd rather be overprepared than overly confident.
((not my best post, but you asked for one fast.))
