Maybe he should be working an school work. Maybe he should be in the dining hall getting dinner. Maybe he shouldn't be practicing quidditch at this time of day. But he was bored and there was nothing to do and the Quiddich stadium had what he needed to keep himself occupied.
He was in his quidditch uniform flying on his firebolt. He he had released a single bludger and he held the quaffle in one hand. and he went about shooting hoops. and fining himself becoming more and more bored out of his mind. it just wasn't the same alone. He also found himself dwelling on the fact that he had missed all their games. He felt so useless. Just like the rest of his house seemed to be lately.

The wind is low. The birds will sing That you are part Of everything
Morgan was listening to her CD player again. The one Vicktor had enchanted especially for her. She had her broom in hand, but she wasn't sure if she really wanted to fly just now. She had a dilemma, one she really couldn't share with any of her friends. First of all, she was afraid they might see her as gloating, and second of all, she was afraid they might be offended that she had hidden it for so long.
Besides, what if she turned the offers down? Then she would have hurt their feelings for no reason. At least, that's what she kept telling herself.
But now, now, there was an added complication. Two of them, actually. She had already sort of told Malachy that they were business partners. He was more than capable of keeping shop on his own, but what would he think of a 'partner' that was never around? And Andrew. He was a relatively new development. Things between them weren't all that serious...yet. But, what if they got intense?
The last thing she needed was a boyfriend right now.
She needed to think. To weigh the pros and cons. To bounce ideas off of someone. But who? She was keeping this secret from everyone she knew. Not even Gwyn knew. No, her wish to think things over with someone was a pipe dream. She'd just have to figure things out herself.
Well, she did always think best when flying..
She secured her CD player and her bag in the Ravie locker room, before mounting her broom and taking off into the twilit pitch.
Only, she wasn't alone. Someone else, a Hufflepuff someone else, was also out for a fly this evening. Oh well, live and let live, right? Morgan firmly decided to fly on her own, without letting this onlooker ruin her evening.
Paul had sort of gotten into a rhythm dodging the bludger and shooting hoops he was the only one for the bludger to chase so it was getting predictible. However that changed. There where now two people to fly after. But Paul hadn't noticed right away he had just ducked the feindish black ball and shot a point when and was getting ready to dodge again but the bludger didn't come. He looked in the direction it had flown and that's when he saw it.
He didn't have time to flipendo the thing besides he didn't have his wand in a position to be ready quickly. It was in one of his inner pockets and his robes where being held to his body with padding The only thing he had time to do was shout, "HEADS UP!" At the other person and hope they could/would dodge. Either that or get hit with a bludger.

One did not get to be a top beater for being oblivious and stupid. Morgan noted that the boy was practicing with what looked to be a bludger. She was sure it had to be against some rule somewhere...
When the stupid thing came at her, though, she wasted no time. She had her wand out in a trice, destroying the thing almost before the warning came. "What are you trying to prove? You do know bludgers can kill people, don't you?"
Rules? Well he knew how to break them, think a puff can't break rules? Well Ravenclaw's can break bludgers. No idea where this rant is going so let's move on. He flew over to meet the other person, saw the prefect badged and his heart almost skipped a beat. But she obviously knew what she was doing, and so did he.
He didn't want to talk back to her but he didn't want to be seen as weak. "Well, yeah I know, but I'm not an idiot and there was no one else out here till now. I just got bored I missed all our games and well I like quidditch." he stopped and smiled. "Maybe I'll go pro." He said with a shrug."
He hoped he wasn't breaking any rules but he wouldn't have taken back anything if he was. Now, however, he was becoming curious about the girl. Not in an invasive way he sort of already had a girlfriend. He wondered if she might have any advice and if it would be appropriate to be asking a prefect and rival team captain questions like that, but first "My name is Paul how about yours miss prefect? Also, if it's not too rude to ask, what are you doing out here?"

"Morgan. Morgan Pendragon. You think you got what it takes to go pro, kid? Good for you. If that's really your intention, then you should go for it," She counseled. But, as though not happy with that meager statement, her mouth kept going.
"Otherwise, you'll get scouted your seventh year, and won't be able to tell your friends and family about it, since you won't have told them you wanted to, and besides which, you're not entirely sure it's really what you want, after all. Part of your heart will be tugging you to go for it, but another part will be telling you you just can't upset everyone's expectations of you."
Oh dear, she had really just laid out all of her problems in front of a stranger hadn't she? "Or, you know, something like that," she amended.
Paul raised an eye brow it seemed he had struck a very unexpected cord. "Well yeah I want it, I've wanted it ever since I learned about quidditch. You see, I'm muggle-born, meaning this life will be pulling me a way from my family anyway. It sucks, but I think I'll live with it, and most of my friends are here in the magical world anyway. As far as I know they'll both support me. Especially since i never got into trouble for getting a broom instead of text books my second year.
"Anyway, why wouldn't I be able to tell them? Scouters got some rules about..." He stopped as another possible reason for what she said. "Also, what sort of family, or friends would I have to not be able to trust them to accept what I want to do with my life." He wanted to say something to the effect that Hufflepuffs where better at choosing friends but he with held the remark, he wasn't trying to be an arse.

"Oh, see I, uh, know this girl," Morgan lied. She really didn't want to get into her whole situation with some guy she barely knew. But, wait, isn't that what she kind of wanted? A third party, an objective listener. Some one she could talk to about the situation, and not worry about how their reaction would affect her. After all, she couldn't tell her friends, and there was no way she was going to tell Morticia (at least not until she made up her mind). If she didn't tell somebody soon, she was sure the stress of the decision would do its damage.
She began somewhat reluctantly. "She got scouted, but like, her parents do not approve of her playing professionally. They think it's a fine hobby and all, but they think she should be doing something better, more worthwhile with her life. And her friends, well, she's afraid that they might feel the same way. Also, she kind of told her one friend she'd help him run his shop when she graduated. So, really, she's worried that he'll think she's running out on him, and she doesn't want her other friends to think that she's being gloating or boastful about being offered a reserve position, especially if she decides not to take it after all."
He thought for a moment these problems where ones that didn't exist for him. Also where one could choose friends, one didn't choose their family. And that rubish about it being a friend of hers having a problem just didn't work. "Hmmm... well, it depends on what you really want." He paused a moment to find the right words. "From the sounds of it your parents do care they care enough to tell you what's better, but the truth is only you can decided that. I'd bet you money that if you took the chance and succeeded they may be disappointed for a little while, but they will support you. Do you really think they would stop caring about you if you didn't take their advice."
He let that soak in a little, and again he chose his words carefully. "As for your friends... Well I guess it really depends on the quality of your friends. You should tell them and get their opinions before you judge what they will say. It just not fair for you to decide what they will say for them." He stopped and let her think on that.
