History
It was first noticed at the girls' birth, their special abilities. Mnemosyne was born first, and as she left her mother's womb, Athena began to forget many things, mostly, what she was doing there, and why she was in so much pain. She began to panic, and it was only quick action by the doctors that Lethe was born at all. Several days later Athena could still not remember anything, and so, the doctors thought it would be a good idea to see if holding one of her children would help. They brought her Mnemosyne.
