This was probably the happiest moment in her life. Finally a chance to help those around her by becoming an auror for the Ministry. When she had read the acceptance letter from the Head Auror, she had immediately went to the Triangle Tunnel. Let's just hope I don't get fired for my blindness she prayed silently.
A lavender and light blue kimono billowed out at her feet as she approached the Ministry Mansion. She listened carefully as many people began walking around to guide her way around the crowds of ministry workers. She took a deep breath and walked into the marvelous vestibule and waited patiently for the security clearance. Don't be nervous she remembered her grandfather tell her before she departed from their flat. "Just act natural, and rely on your instinct," she told herself as she finished her grandfather's quote.

Julian Forbes was having a very troubling day. More and more was he beginning to wonder why what he had received in an ill fated letter hadn't happened yet, and it was beginning to scare him. The people that would be soon arriving in Iberia were ones that the dark-haired wizard was well versed in, considering he belonged to their charter. And yet they were not here: this fear, this mild paranoia, began taking its toll on the lively young man and he appeared a little more tired and older than he really was. Dressed in his normal attire, vermilion robes covered by a crimson surcoat and wearing his Elizabethan hat of black felt, the Head Auror was making his way through the atrium when he noticed someone lingering not too far from him.
Judging by what she wore and her general appearance, Julian made a guess that the woman was Japanese and therefore could be the young lady whom he had accepted into the Magical Law Enforcement Department. Striding through the crowd like a celebrity on parade, the Maltan reached the young woman and doubled checked to see if she might be the girl with a glance of his eyes. The foggy grey eyes contracted slightly, but then a smile appeared on the Auror's face and he tipped the brim of his hat in greeting to the girl.
Hearing footsteps coming closer to where she was, she dug her hand into her haori to take a light hold of her wand. Upon being asked if she was herself, she nodded lightly and released the wooden weapon. "Yes sir," she replied timidly as she raised her head in the general direction of the voice and bowed lightly in greeting. Not being able to make out his face clearly, she was slightly confused as to who he was. "Are you the Head Auror sir?" she asked shyly not noticing the foggy eyes that the man had.
This was going to be either a great day with nothing bad happening, or a terrible day if she dropped her guard and instincts.

"Guilty as charged I'm afraid," replied Julian as he cracked a weak smile, "Julian Forbes, Head Auror, at your service. It is good to finally meet you in person Miss Ahina. Welcome to the Ministry of Magic Headquarters: an impressive sight the first time you enter it, and somehow it still remains as grand as it was the first time you ever stepped foot inside it. Well, I guess that's magic for you." As he spoke, Forbes continued to size her up and was trying to determine what this girl would be best at when on duty. She wasn't too short for a woman, nor was she too tall. The fact that her hand immediately shot into her clothing was enough to tell him that there was a wand inside and it was good that she had fast reflexes. However there was something about the girl's eyes that he couldn't quite put his finger on.
They weren't like his, foggy eyes that those of Seer lineage sometimes inherit, but it seemed that she was behaving in a mannerism similar to those who are blind: looking at someone but not truely seeing who they are. However there are many mysteries in the world of Magic and perhaps this girl's eyes were one of them: he wouldn't be all that surprised if they were. So he thought nothing more of them and moved onto more pressing issues. "Moving right along then Miss Ahina, I assume you already know the rules and what it takes to be an Auror: hence why now I will be assiging you your first mission, your trial by fire if it were."
"I need you to find the Auror James Mustang. I believe he can be found either here at Headquarters or somewhere on patrol near Drakborough. He was given a letter that describes a mission that is crucial to our success against those that threaten the common wizard. Once you find him, tell him that Forbes sent him and that the two of you are to commence the mission stated in that letter. As you are new to the department, you may want to follow Mustang's lead in this endeavor or you could dazzle me with what you've learned from your schooling. Either way, don't endanger yourself and do your best to accomplish what the letter asks of you," concluded Julian, who took in a deep breath after explaining all of this to Reka.
"You can attempt to find Mustang at your convenience, or if you have any further questions about the Ministry or our current situation, feel free to ask them now."
She smiled weakly and bowed to him. "Pleasure to meet you sir," she chirped. As he gave the brief description of the room that they were in, she frowned lightly wishing that she could clearly see what was around them. "I bet it is quite beautiful. So I will have to take your word on it, for my vision is slowly disintegrating," she stated admitting to what would have been her most fatal flaw if it wasn't for the years of shaman training.
"And I am aware of most of the rules that have been place. My grandmother read me the Minister's decree when I came here," she smiled softly as she linked her hands behind her back. Her sightless eyes widened when she was told that she was going to go on her first mission. Oh my lord she thought as she tried to calm herself down from happiness. "I will get right on it," she nodded. "The sooner it's done the sooner we can clear the threat," she spoke calmly.
"And I do have one question, what is the current situation?" she asked curiously. If she going to help solve the problem, she might as well know what the problem was.

"Disintegrating? My most humble apologies then for not knowing your affliction before this point Miss Ahina," said Forbes, who was somewhat taken aback," However do not be discouraged, it will take more than that to make it so that you are an invalid: you can still go ahead with your mission. As for the situation..."
"For the most part, it is rather sketchy. There was a time when we first arrived in Spain that we had a clear idea of how the enemies of the state were: the remnants of the Society of Shadows. We don't know their whereabouts, but there have been two spottings of Count Robinson Antares Scorpius, their former leader, in the Tunnel and not so long ago I defeated the Unknown One, Scorpius' second in command. However like all masters of the Dark Arts, Unknown probably has a horucrux and I fear that he'll back sooner or later. But that was then Miss Ahina: now things are more difficult than simply charging in and saving the day."
Stroking his goatee in deep thought, think how best to word this because now Forbes couldn't go around just saying exactly what he felt: he needed to be careful that his thoughts didn't cloud others, like as a teacher must teach a student knowledge rather than opinion. "There is internal unrest, perhaps even a rebellion, beginning to start over at Firefox University. The night that I fought against The Unknown One, I caught two students beforehand who had just casted the Dark Mark in the sky: a blatant act to inspire fear into the surrounding populace. And it is rumored that more students are in this group than we have guessed at. The problem within this is Talon A. Windwaltz, the Headmaster of the school. He is a representative of the ICW, just as our Minister is, and Plutus promised Windwaltz that he would stay out of the school's affairs."
"However with the students inciting fear in the local population and owning illegal magic creatures despite our ordinances, they are breaking laws that apply to all of Spain. And yet these domestic criminals are still student, 17 and under: which means that only Windwaltz can punish them. So it's going to be rough seas for a time because the Headmaster believes that Plutus has come here because the ICW is trying to subvert his power, which is not the case. And Plutus may be growing impatient with the lack of discipline being taken against these conspirators. I myself believe that these young wizards knowingly broke the law, and that they should be punished at its fullest extent. Because if Headmaster Windwaltz, may his name never be tarnished, keeps the punishment of these students under his control and not punish them as we would, it may encourage more of these students to act up against us: and that would be a terrible fate indeed."
"Don't worry about it. Not many do," she smiled softly closing her eyes. Well it seemed that she could still keep her post after all. Opening her brown orbs, she placed both of her hands into her pockets and waited for what the situation was.
When he began to speak of what happened in the past, she slowly began to think back to her days at Hogwarts. From what she gathered so far, it wsa almost like history was repeating itself again. And it seemed that the situation was only getting more sticky. A student led rebellion? she asked herself in awe. This was a true shame, why were students going against those who are only trying to help. "And I agree, these students seem to know right from wrong, and should be punished accordingly," she nodded.
"And I do have one last question," she spoke sheepishly. "What is the mission I am supposed to accompany Mister Mustang on?" she asked curiously.

Julian smiled warmly at the young witch's curiosity, and decided it wouldn't be too much of a leak if he gave the newest Auror a little hint as to what her mission was. "Now now, I can't tell you outright what it is: this mission exceeds my authority as it comes from the higher ups. However what I can tell you is that it is nothing boring, does not invovle students, and will require every ounce of your body to be performing at its peak," explained Forbes in a manner that tried to stem Reka's excitement. Personally he wouldn't be as excited as she was if she knew what the mission really was, considering the risks that came with entering hostile territory, but then again this was her first mission and she had every right to be excited.
"Rest assured Miss Ahina that you'll get your pays' worth when you are finished with this mission. Yet now I must bid you adeiu, for I have a meeting about prison size that will be starting any minute now. Don't enjoy yourself too much and always remember to watch out for other Aurors as if they were your own family, cause should anything happen to you: we are your new family and we'll be there for you. Farewell!" And with that Julian Forbes apperated off to a dull meeting about prison sizes and costs constraints.
