How did he ever end up here? No matter if the Slytherins weren't quite as bad as their reputation had given them, and Ignatius was beginning to believe that he had ended up in a good house, their choice of sanctuary wasn't exactly the most welcoming of places. The boy stepped down the stone stairs into a jaded chamber with steel bars and long chains.
Various barrels and other such greeted him, including eyeballs and bottled dead newts - 'Oh the poor things,' Ignatius thought, who owned one himself. So this was where he'd be having Potions class then, down here by the Common Room. He had been given instructions upon arrival to 'Go to the picture of the young Slytherin on the most bottom floor of the school.' So that would be where his Common Room was.

Shadow stormed out of a Dungeon classroom, his black hair ruffled and his clear eyes glaring angrily. Who was she to tell him what to do? The annoying Hufflepuff girl had been appearing nearby for days-yet no matter how many times she hit him with a broomstick, Shadow always payed the price. Still, she was the only student with his secret.
His strides stopped short at the sight of another being. He had been heading towards the common room-aware that noone was around. It seemed he was wrong. Approaching the boy, he smirked slightly-not of anger but of luck. The boy was older than Shadow, but looked just as nervous as he had been. "Un-sure?....Lumos" His wand light shimmered brightly over the dark dungeons.
The boys features were slightly familiar, but he couldn't place them. What did it matter?
Ignatius nearly jumped at the sound of the illumination charm behind him, and the sudden flash of light that came with the incantation shocked him even worse. Luckily, however, for his own embarrassment's sake, he hadn't said anything - who knows, maybe some of those Slytherins were still into throwing new guys down the stairs.
The boy quickly turned around, allowing the other student a chance to examine his features. The Slytherin couldn't see the caster of the spell all that well through the brightness of the charm, but after a while his eyes adjusted to view him. He was a boy like him, and not only that, but he had the Serpent's badge on as well.
"Not unsure, just a bit curious as to why this Castle has a dungeon except for show...Slytherin as well, huh?"

Shadow grinned slightly at the boys sudden reactions. Being tall for his age, he wasn't that much smaller than the student in question, possibly a good thing in the circumstances.
Lowering his wand slightly, he studied the boy through his blue eyes-his eyebrows raised curiously. The boy looked older than himself, then why did he look so confusion and nervous. Surly he has been to FFU before? As he spoke, Shadows attention quickly turned away from his thoughts.
Shadow laughed quietly in answer, gestering down the Dungeon towards darkness. At one end the famous portrait of the young Salazar, quiet and solitary against the dark surroundings. "The greatest house," he nodded. For 5 generations no member of his family had stepped foot as a Slytherin, instead they had been housed in Hufflepuff. Hence, Shadows sudden loathing for students of the badger. "Don't you feel at home in the darkness? Dungeons show Slytherin's power of secrecy in darkness....home."
Ignatius was rather solemn in response to the other boy's explanations and curiosity. The Slytherin wondered to himself whether he had made things worse for himself by bringing up the Dungeon's random location. Clearly the other boy believed that the dank darkness was cozy, or at least was better than perhaps a warm fire. Maybe it was just an acquired taste.
"Greatest house, assuredly," he said, and this was something, ironically, he wasn't too sure about. But he had enough pride in himself to know that if he got into the house, it couldn't be that terrible, "But I've heard...err, nevermind. My name's Ignatius Fletcher. Mind telling me yours? Since we're House mates and all."

(sorry was watch HP xD )
The Slytherin's mind wandered angrily at the boys lack of enthusiasm. Normally his first instinct was attack, second only to rage. However, for some reason Shadow's rage passed quickly. He shrugged with a slight laugh and leant against the cold passage wall, his wand twirling aimlessly between his fingers.
'Just me then, evil mind, evil spirit.' Shadow smirked to himself as the boy spoke. Slytherins often got passed off as the worst house, house of the dark lord. This was something Shadow remained secretly proud of, the darkness was his home. The shadows of magic were said to be at work in the darkness, hence-his sudden name preference. "Shadonious Clearwater," holding out his wand arm to shake. Hesitating slightly, in curiousity; "Are you pure-blood?"
The question that the other Slytherin posed was one he had dealt with often at home. Growing up the son of a muggle-born and a proud pureblood, he found that his Father often had issues with being 'less than expected' because of his heritage. He had been taught growing up that he had the purest blood of all, and that his Father was a wizard of great and noble glory. His Mother, however, made sure that he knew (in secret of course) that this was not the truth.
"Yes," the boy said, an incredulous look on his face as if the question even needed to be asked, "of course I am. Aren't you?" He knew his Father would be proud of him for that lie.

(Shall we say something about the Malfoys or not. I dont mind...up to you)
Shadow grinned as he looked at the Slytherin's expression. Brushing the black hair from his eyes he brought back his unshaken hand. Instead his grip tightened around the enlightened wand.
"Good." his voice was proud yet strangely soft. In an argument, his voice would never raise-only grow softer and more deadly. He was proud of his inherited blood line, a decendent of some of the most loyal followers of the dark lord. His family had given up their cold thoughts after he had fallen, yet Shadow still hung onto his teachings. "Obviously, I'm a decendent of the finest. Pure-bloods from the beginning."
Trish walked through the dark dungeons after spending some time at the lake. The darkness was calming to her, and she began to feel at home. She continued making her way toward the commonroom, not expecting to run into anyone. Little did she know that there were already two boys in the dungeons aswell. She turned a corner, but soon stopped. She heard the two boys speaking, and gave a soft sigh. If there were other people down here then she would just have to deal with it.
After a few seconds of thinking about what she should do, Trish decided to keep going. She turned around the corner, and walked in the direction of where the boys were talking. "Looks like I'm not the only one down here." she said when she was about 3 feet away from one of the boys.

Shadow turned suddenly at the approach of another, his wand grip tightening. He released it slightly at the sight of Trish. They had only met once before, but he did not see her as a threat.
Grinning slightly he ran a hand through his hair as he nodded in acknoloedgement. "Looks that way..." he gazed back at Ignatius for a moment curiously. Their speak of bloodlines had not exactly been quiet yet it seemed not to bother him. One of first phrases, Shadow had spoke on coming to Firefox, Blood-traitor, was his insult to a Hufflepuff. The same that kept appearing at the most annoying of times. His talk of blood had cost him points-setting Slytherin into the minuses. yet when he had complemented the hufflepuff quietly at the dance she had shrugged him away.
Trish had been one of the first to speak to him upon his arrival. Their talk had been short but still.
"Purebloods from the beginning, huh?" Ignatius said back, "Me too." The Slytherin thought about this: in a way it was true, he guessed, as his Mother's side did in fact have an extremely well-known wizarding family that very rarely bred with muggle-borns. He doubted that before his Father they'd never ever married out. Then again, it was always possible...somewhere along the line.
Some other person showed up then, and the boy was pleasantly surprised to see this one was a girl. The girl looked about his age, but she may have been at Firefox much longer. "Oh," he said, and the other boy - Clearwater - responded beforehand. By his demeanor, it appeared he knew the other girl - or maybe he was just a flirt.
Trish looked toward the two boys, and soon recognized one of them as Shadow. The two of them had a brief chat not long after she had arrived at the school. The other boy appeared to be around her age, but it seemed like he may be new at the school. "Hey Shadow." she said after hearing Shadow speak, then turned to face the other boy. He had asked if they had disturbed her. "No, its alright." she replied to the other boy, "I was just walking around."
Trish looked around the dungeons for a few seconds, then decided that she probalby should introduce herself to the other boy. She turned back to face him, and simply stated, "I'm Trishelle Hanley, but feel free to call me Trish."
From her response, it was made evident that the two Slytherins did in fact know each other. Ignatius wondered to himself whether all of the Slytherins who had been here for a while knew each other - maybe he too would know all of them soon, too. "Hi," he said, a smile appearing on his face as she introduced herself.
"I'm Ignatius Fletcher," he introduced himself likewise, excited that he was meeting someone new - more people was always a good thing, "But feel free to call me...well, actually, I don't have a nickname."

(call meh a flirt!? xD )
Shadow leant back against the wall as he listened to the others speak. He had introduced himself before, Shadonious.....no point in repeating. Spinning his wand between his fingers, his attention returned elsewhere.
"Then you should have one..." his words were quiet, his sudden rages always started quickly around girls. Not able to understand why, he usually tried to remain to himself.
((omg, i cannot think. im so sorry, but i have no muse))
Trish gave a small smile after the boy had introduced himself. "Nice meeting you Ignatius." she said in reply. She gazed around the dark dungeons for a few seconds, and thought to herself. Soon she had heard Shadow mention on how Ignatius should have a nickname. Trish remained thinking to herself for a few more seconds, and looked up toward the two boys. "I agree, you could use a nickname." she said quietly, "But of course that's your decision isn't it." It was usually someones own decision on if they wanted a nickname or not.
