..walls danced under pale, flesh-and-bone fingertips. Delicate hands peeked out the edges of a heavy burgundy velvet robe's wide sleeves. A druidic hood hung in heavy folds, obscuring the pale face underneath. The face was oval in shape with a delicate chin, a perfectly upturned nose, and wide scarlet almond eyes hidden behind dark lids. Heavy velvet red lips were in a permanent sneer, almost a smirk, as the tall hourglass-shaped woman floated down the stairs. Her movement was snake-like, though no slithering sounded, it was so smooth.
Material hung heavy on Alexandria's body, a train of cloth following her down the stairs. No skin was shown aside from the hands and her delicate grin. She moved lower into the belly of the school, smirking all the while. It set the right corner of her mouth into an upturn, devilish but attractive none the less. She was here to contemplate the darkness of her own mind and, perhaps, torment a few children, or turn a few to the darker side of life. How enjoyable that would be.
I'm calm, it's freaking freezing down here and I'm not feeling pieced together yet, the serpent moaned inwardly, his inner monologue not particularly helping the situation. Then when did it ever? From experiance, it was a quiet little thing that only dared to speak words of sarcasm - and even then they were never considered by the teen. Though, he did suppose it amusing to be alone with. That little voice never seemed to hush when he welled on his own thoughts.
Maybe he should call him Edward, or William... or Frankie.
Let's go with Frankie.
A form-fitting jumper of a deep murky colouring over a white oxford, Shadonious paced an empty classroom of the dungeons - anxious, quick breathing and all the more curious as to this little devil may care voice within his mind. Every so often he let a soft sigh squeeze between his parted cerise lips, running a hand through his hair in stress before he turned sharply on heel and strode back to the opposite of the room.
On his fifteenth time of turning, he seated himself rather suddenly on the floor; cross-legged. With an air of a child still in their early teachings, he stared up at the chalkboard before him, still and silent as he watched, wand in hand. Upon the board, a thin rod of chalk scrawled jottings of words, half finished sentances, pictures, patterns, anything and everything. And it calculated his feelings perfectly.

Alexandria slithered down the last few steps, the cloth trailing behind her moving along the dank steps like a shed skin. Her fingers trailed along the moist walls, feeling the beginnings of slime but never being bothered by it. She smirked all the while and moved toward an open door that had caught her attention. She heard rustling, a small throaty sound, and chalk.
"Hello," her low, velvet voice spilled from her lips. Crimson eyes planted themselves on a dark boy, Slytherin by his air. She spilled into the room like so much clothing and slipped into a sitting position next to him. "What brings you to such a dark recess of the castle, my dear...?" She left the end hanging, asking him for his name. This one was interesting.

Lifting his hands to form a link of small sorts, Shadonious continued to watch the colorless patterns as they swirled across the board; the graffiti ruining the previously blank splendor with willing smiles. He supposed it would be seen as a pensieve to someone else, except it was rather backwards. Much easier to have your thoughts written out before you if you wanted to understand them and learn to free yourself from the others - not have them thrown away so that you stood no chance of remebering.
"Home," he responded in a childish voice, tapping the hard flooring with his index finger. He cast a sideways glance at the questioner, recognising her with a slight flushing to his cheeks as the girl who'd slipped up to him in the Arch, that day. With the weird ones, yes, and poor poor Mikaela.
Plucking his wand up from the rest, he flicked it silently towards the board. The chalkstick suspended in equilbrm for only the slightest of moments before it fell to the stone below, clattering loudly as it snapped in too. How relevant, he sighed, fully aware of his own resemblance to the stick. He liked to think he wasn't that fragile, though.
Sparking lightly, cool cobalt eyes flickered towards the student besides him - curiousity purring within his gaze. "But your deer has reason, his doe has not?" he questioned quietly, wondering if she would be quick to understand his meaning without confusion.... Or thinking he was stupid enough to mix up her words.

Ah, she recognized him now. The other Slytherin. The one the little lion had been so intent to harm. Apparently, she hadn't done it. Perhaps she was much milder than she seemed. Perhaps the boy healed quicker than was normal. Either way, he had muttered something about home. Alexandria didn't know what to make of that, but she caught his next words smoothly.
"Ah, but his doe doth have reason with her. Perhaps, not motivation to be here other than curiosity, perhaps more so. Which is which, the deer should know." Alexandria smiled slowly at the snake, finally making sense of his single-word reply of home.
"And I would hope, deer, that you have a better place to call home than a dungeon. Chains really are rather lousy decor." Alexandria slid her right hand from where it was hidden in the heavy folds of velvet and delicately offered it up. "My name is Alexandria. I don't claim to help you find a much better refuge than a dungeon, but, perhaps, a more comfortable one that is just as dark." Perhaps that would interest the lonesome boy. Perhaps.

Perking up a little at her response, the snake pushed a pale hand through his unruly locks. She understood, her reply more Elizabethan than his own. Anyone else, he would be ridiculed; at lost with words when they spoke to him, other than the pitying insults. A calling smirk pried at his tips, twisting the corners upwards as he tose a single eyebrow.
"No," he whispered, rocking a little as he drew his knees up to his chest. There was no reason in conjuring lies or feigning a nonchalant response with false comfort? "No woods for the deer," he sighed, touching her hand briefly with his own before he used it to pull himself to his feet - lingering to her to do likewise with his own uneasy palm.
Retrieving the chalk, he held a half stick between two lithe fingers; lifting it then to add his name to the ramblings of disjointed words upon the board. His muscles involuntarily tensed at her offer, his head turned partially to the side. "Why?...I have not asked for a doe's help," he whispered, a slight edge to his words.

The boy responded. Fabulous. But his response conjured a frown on her face. Oh she really didn't care about others, but she must act like it to get where she wanted. "Oh dear. Deer must have woods to live. You need the nourishment and protection it supplies to make life right." Alexandria took his hand and gently tugged herself up. His hand was soft and smooth, and she kept a light grasp on it. Gentle. Esper. Ghostly.
Alexandria looked over the boy as he wrote "Shadonious" on the board. "Hm," she started, "I think the name is rather fitting." She was momentarily taken back by his defensiveness, but had expected so much more that it was relieving at best.
"Ah, you don't have to ask. I offer a kindred spirit some comfort, or luxury perhaps. But most definitely an easier, more cushioned life." She let her crimson eyes linger toward his cobalts, a neutral-friendly, almost complacent smile, pulling at her red lips. She was offering not help, but comfort, companionship, like-mindedness. Nothing more, nothing less. Hopefully, the deer would understand the doe.

Unhelpful. Really, it was remarkable that he was managing to keep up with her words. A small V-shape creased between his eyebrows, simple confusion wavering in his expression. Pale lips pursed slightly as he let his gaze fall to the ground; his head still tilted ever-so little over his shoulder. "But the lions will come..." he sighed heavily, long strands of matted hair flopping over his eyes as he hung his head.
Metaphorical, perhaps, but it made perfect sense when he really felt he needed to stay away from any Gryffindor -aswell- as anything that he would need to run from. "Of course," he scoffed, turning back to the board as he began drawing a half-hearted drawings of various people on his mind. Morgan, Malachy, Mikey, Lucre.... even Gweneth featured side by side with his uncle. It was half decent, if he could say so himself, but he grew quickly carried away with the wolves that surrounded the couple - one in particular that leapt towards Erin. His fist clenched tight, veins throbbing against his pale skin as he scratched over the image, attacking his 'brother' with the chalk - a low hiss squeezing between his gritted teeth.
Suddenly unsure, vunerable, Shadow stared back in what he hoped was a demanding manner, his gaze faltering uncertainly. Her eyes, they reminded him of Morgan, of Aeris too... but there wasn't the same softness within them. And yet, he found himself smiling back, even as he took a small step to the side and removed his hand gently from her grasp. "I don't understand... how? How could you....?" he trailed off quietly, remembering momentarily her words from their initial meeting. "Luxury?"

Lions. This kid was smart. Here she was, a lion of sorts to his deer, but she acted the part of doe. She could do it very well. "Lions can't get through thick forests very well, though, can they? Say you find a nice clearing surrounded by so many trees it's hard for even you, a gentle deer, to get through. Lions certainly can't get you there. Can they?" Alexandria let Shadonious slip out of her reach. Anything for him to be more comfortable. She watched steadily as he drew figures on the board - he was skilled with art - and attacked a few in particular. Hm, so he had major family issues it seemed. The image of the Gryffindor from the arch piqued her interest, though. Why was she weighing so heavily on the boy's mind? Interesting.
She stepped quietly over to the board and placed her index finger on the drawing of the Gryffindor, her next words reassuring and velvety. "I promise you this lion, especially, won't touch a hair on your head." She made a quick movement and erased the figure from the board. "The wolves, either," and she erased all of the wolves from the board. "Or anyone else causing you problems.." Here, she simply wiped away the figures Shadonious had attacked with his chalk.
"I don't mean they'll be gone, that would be too much, but they can't hurt you..." She gave a slow spreading smile that was meant to be warm and soothing. He asked how she could offer luxury, and it made her giggle. "Hm," she smiled slowly. "...I have ways...connections... I could possibly get you anything you've ever wanted..." Her voice came out as a low, breathy sigh as she slowly circled him. Very slowly. He was already afraid of lions and wolves, she didn't want to appear a predator. Just measuring.
"What do you want...?" Alex asked quietly, nearing him a little. "A room of royal comfort..?" Alexandria waved her wand toward the room, filling it with black satin pillows, gauzy black-and-white curtains, and painting the entire room black. It looked smaller than before, and like a luxurious throne room in a gothic castle. She slid around him to end on his left side again, and whispered in his ear.
Or gold," She conjured a handful of galleons and dropped them in his hand as she slid to his right and whispered again. "Go on, test them. They're real." She emphasized real, making it sound more intimate than it should, and slipped around behind him. She slipped her arms over his shoulders, resting her chin on his right one, and pointed her wand into thin air, conjuring an image of a beautiful girl. "Or perhaps, a relationship uninterrupted..?" The image of the girl moved seductively toward Shadonious, but disappeared, mere smoke, before it ever touched him. Alexandria removed herself from Shadonious and stood before him.
"As I said, I can give you anything you want..." Alexandria's voice was warm and luxurious. She let her crimson eyes linger on his blue ones. She smiled, her burgundy lips curling at the edges visible from under her nearly black hood. Her skin was as pale as his, possibly more. And though she considered herself powerful, she spoke the next words as convincingly as she could. "Your wish is my command..."

"Perhaps not... But they will try, and one will bear her fangs from behind the trees for the deer won't stand forever in the same clearing. No, there will be no clearing, only thick woods for his predators to hide within and wait," Shadow's response was abruptly sharp, quite oblivious to the nonsense of meanings that spilled from his mouth. It all made perfect sense in his opinion, though, when did that opinion ever matter more than a teaspoon?
She pointed to dear Mikaela, then individually erased each of his personal demons. To the back of his throat, a small mousey , strained noise resounded - slightly irritated that she'd destroyed his image, even when she was promising so much. "But you are just a doe, she is a lioness; powerful with her pride.... I see where she may promise me no occurance from you, but nothing of the opposite manner," he sighed, trailing a little as he took yet another step back to even the distance between them once more. It wasn't that he was uncomfortable, more, he felt he owed it to Morgan to stay away from others. Even if it was just a one time deal.
Everything I ever wanted...?
Running out of room to move into, the serpent steadied himself almost protectively; one foot only slightly drawn back from the other in preparation to flee if need be. Deers didn't exactly face their lions face on in one to one combat, now, did they? Clare-coloured eyes widenned a little as the room transformed itself into a particular image he would have dreamed about. He deserved all that. The comfort, the royal treatment.... subconciously he played with the heirloom at his finger, staring.
And then the gold. More possibly than he'd seen in a long time. He was broke, said, but he didn't exactly need money within the school walls. God save he actually ever bother to venture out of them. He weighed it silently in his palm, his expression somewhat aghast. His muscles tightened involuntarily as she wrapped her arms over his shoulders; he turned his head to the right slightly, his chin tilted up a little as he glanced down at her, casting his gaze away at the final illusion. His fingers twitched, his hand moving forwards slightly whilst his expression pained.
"Uninterrupted," he muttered, relieved only part by part as she moved to stand before him. He frowned, though his expression was distant - intrigued, longing. ".....Miss Alexandria, you would really do all this for no requirement? It seems almost fickle to believe, impossible. You have no reason to do so, I have never spoken a word of kindess in your direction before now."

"I have excess," Alexandria slipped a step closer to Shadonious and let her ruby red lips spread into a slow smile, "and wish to share. What is excess without someone to lavish in it with? I most certainly cannot use it all myself. Is it so unreasonable to find someone similar to share it with?" She felt she needn't explain how they were similar; they were both blackened souls. Somewhat mad perhaps. He didn't know that, though. All he knew was appearances. She was a doe, he was a deer. Band together, and they were stronger than apart. Right?
Alexandria extended a hand slowly to touch his forearm and looked him over. He could be considered cute surely but she did not want him in that way. At least, not yet. She let her gaze linger in his and left her touch light, feathery. "What if I am merely a happy benefactor...?" He did call her on being a doe protecting from lions, however, and she snatched the chance right up.
"Lions are prideful and that is their downfall. I am sure you have seen that. Doe are so fiercley protective, more so than lions. Lions and wolves have fangs and claws and do indeed take them for granted. They let their children roam, easy to harm, because of that. We deer and doe know better. For that, I have learned how to protect what I wish to protect. I may not have been born with teeth or claws, but I can fight when I am not expected to. For that, I always win." There was a delicate certainty and fierceness there had not been before, but it was not overwhelming or ferocious, or threatening.
"Never underestimate a doe, my deer." Alexandria spoke calmly, quietly, and stroked the side of Shadonious's face when she finished her statement, letting her hand fall back down lightly to her side. Her words were pure strength and seduction to any weakened spirit. She willed Shadonious to drink it in like fine wine, to be drunk and willing with her words, to come to her side. She waited a few moments and a stinging started at the corners of her eyes. They started producing a salty liquid to coat the eyes against the stinging, but it was too much.
Alexandria held the tears just at bay, her nose and cheeks flushing, pinking. She lowered her head and clasped her hands in front of herself. "But I will leave if that is what you wish." Her voice came out breathy. Rejection stung like a...well, it stung. She was showing fear of that imminent sting now. He had to take. He just had to.
