Our Father, who art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy Name.
Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done,
On earth as it is in heaven.
Hallowed be thy Name.
Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done,
On earth as it is in heaven.
Had he really done what he thought he did?
The hufflepuff knelt before a fireplace in the dungeon. A warm fire smoldered in front of him, drying his still wet clothes. Clothes wet with not only the waters of the lake, but also other liquids. He knew now that it was no dream, that it was no human. He had... He pressed his hands together, shut his eyes closed tight, and prayed.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil.
And forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil.
Oh God. It was a demon. He knew it. He felt sick to his stomach, but also dirty. He would find a shower. He would wash. He would claw his skin off, he would wash himself of his sin. But, oh God, it was amazing. He knew he was a sinner, and he knew what he did was wrong, but in his heart it seemed so right. What he had done at the lake, with that demon, had not been in his heart. He thought with something else, he acted upon urges.
Oh God. He felt sick to his stomach. His lips moved fast, reciting the Lord's Prayer several times, much like he had when he was younger and taken to church all those times. He doubted the existence of a God, but, it gave him comfort. He felt focused, fulfilled, every time he recited those words. Heavenly Father, Hallowed be thy name...
Oh lord, he had given himself to a demon. He had had sex with a demon. And he enjoyed it. Was he going to die? He wasn't sure. He retched, almost vomiting, and the spittle that did come out tasted faintly of the demon. Oh gross. Why, then, did it feel so right, so amazing?
For thine is the kingdom,
and the power, and the glory,
for ever and ever.
Amen.
and the power, and the glory,
for ever and ever.
Amen.
