A young girl with long dark hair walk slowly into the library, books were her eternal friends. Alsways there always something she could count on. Her long dress was blown by the slight breez. She skimmed the rows looking at the difrrent books, nothing catching her eye but hey were all there all the same. At first glance she might seem sad, but her make up was smeared from her not being careful, not really she usally had it running down her face.
"What a wonderful place the library silence and book...the world."
Faust had been leaning back in a chair with his feet propped upon the surface of the table in front of him. In his hand was a rather small book concerning various curses and the adverse affects of multiple ones being cast on someone. As he read, the silence was broken by someone walking into the library. Apparently this someone forgot to close the door since the papers scattered on the table in front of Faust began to move slightly in the breeze.
Closing the book with a resounding slam, Faust turned around to look towards the entrance of the library where a girl had just enterred. "Well, hello... what do we have here..." he mused softly to himself, "Why it appears that someone really needs to fix themselves up so that they are presentable." He had noticed her smeared makeup just prior to making his statement and figured, with a little help from his friendly shoulder dwelling friend Id, had decided what to do.
Getting up, Faust went over to the bookcase that she was looking at and jumped ontop of it with a wave of his wand. He then lay down on top of the bookcase with his hands behind his head propping it up.
"What a wonderful place the library silence and book...the world."
"Now, I'm not exactly what the world has to do with the library being silent and book, but I can tell you that you are in need of a mirror so that you can fix that clown get-up you call makeup," as he said this, Faust was still lying on his back staring at the ceiling above the case. He abruptly turned to look down at the girl, "Now what house were you from? Because you aren't exactly what I would call a model example of a student from any of them."
He turned back up and spoke to his shoulder, "Strange trends these people have now a day... purposely making their face look as though they've been crying. Yes I know it may be some sort of expression Superego, but Id has the right idea. If they want to look as though they've been crying, give them something to cry about."bg

[glow=purple,2,300]Dovie had been wandering the halls in search of her usual haunt at schools, and found it with the doors wide open. Odd... she thought, her green eyes growing to a foresty color as she squinted in and bit her bottom lip until it was a bright red. The doors weren't usually open like this... Some kid must have forgotten... Dovie crouched low on instinct and edged her way inside. Her long, shiny black hair, half pulled up into a half-done messy bun, fell just over her right shoulder, brushing gently against her wings. her black camo capris sished as she moved further into the library, her sandals issuing no sound whatsoever. However, nothing appeared out of the ordinary. Dovie stood straight and headed towards the bright sunlight filtering into the large library. She sat into a comfy-looking armchair right in the light, which made her olive tan skin shimmer golden. She'd just picked up a small book and had hoped to begin skimming through it when a whisper reached her ears. "..give them something to cry about..." Dovie's ears had perked up, her eyesight becoming sharper within an instant, and she quickly scanned the library. There, on top of a bookshelf, was the source. A quite harsh-looking young man with his wand readily avalable. Upon sifting around for other minds, she found a young girl to be looking at books just below the young man. She immediately understood the situation with a tad of mind-walking. "Oh, no, you don't..." Dovie spoke in a warning tone as she flickered out of focus for an instant and reappeared next to the young man, her right hand extended to right in front of his face. She took hold of her Chahta Double-Spiral wooden bracelet and turned it three times to the right. She kept her left hand on the bracelet, ready to turn again to release her horrible abilites. "For all you know, she just doesn't care in the mornings... You assume far too much..." Dovie spoke in a cooler tone now, her foresty eyes glittering in a slightly menacing manner. She kept her hand at face-level with the young man, prepared for any action he may take.[/glow]bg
OOC: I do hope you didn't try scanning Faust's mind because that would have caused your character either confusion or a headache. He's quite messed up in the head, as can be seen from his talking to his shoulder, but if this 'mind-walking' allows you to brush across people's mind's I'm assuming it will also allow them to attack your mind if they notice you there. Also, if it allows you to see from my perspective when you do that, then you would probably notice that my character 'sees' little versions of himself on his shoulders, one good and one evil.
As Faust lay there contemplating his next actions, someone had the audacity to leap up and point a wand into his face. Really now, that just won't do. Still facing his shoulder, Faust cotinued talking, "Well, Id, it seems that we have a visitor. I know that we shouldn't have done much to the other girl, Superego, but this one has a wand to our face and us... a prefect."
He now looked up towards the girl above him ignoring the wand pointed at him and smiled with a crazed look glinting in his red eyes. "You seem to be mildly interested with what's going on up here," he said while moving his left hand up to point at his temple. Whilst doing this, his right hand slipped into his pocket to grasp a hold of his wand and point it towards her through the cloth of his pocket, "Now, if it was a problem with getting into my mind, it seems its time to reveal my own abilties, little girl."
As he spoke the final words of his fraze, he stared directly into her eyes and initiated his legilimency. His gaze now piercing through her brain so as to see her next move even before she started to implement it.

OOC: Oh, HONESTLY Faust... She's not a prefect, she's a student. She's not holding a wand, she stretched her right arm out towards you.. If you research on the old MH, you'll see why, as it was controlled, previously, with a wrist brace..ask anyone who ever ran across her, like Alexandria Midnight.. AND, she's been mind-walking since she was 3, facing dark forces since she was 6, if you truthfully care to know. Talk to anyone that knows her well enough in Gryffindor, ask Teag even. I'm not being pompous or assuming Faust's abilites, but truly..leglimency would never affect her.. She's been taught to fight that since she was a child, considering she holds great secrets in her mind that nobody outside of her culture may know of...
[glow=purple,2,300]All I'm asking is for you not to bother the girl, that's it. And yea, I protect kids who've done nothing to be hurt. Just don't bother... Dovie sent over, twisting her bracelet a 3/4 turn. One more quarter turn and she'd unleash a fury equal to the cruciatas curse. She'd finally learned to control it at will... Dovie jumped from the top of the bookshelf and walked back over to the chair she'd been sitting in. What unpleasant students wander these halls... I'm so glad I'm not that young anymore. Ah, well..nothing like Lothani. If I was able to skirt around her, he can't be too bad.. Dovie plopped into the chair in a huffy manner, her hair flying in all directions as her wings flickered from a moment's grumpiness. She shrugged her hair off her nearly-bare shoulders, grabbed a large burgundy book with gold binding and a gold seal, and opened it with a flourish. She sighed quietly and began reading, skimming pages here and there, about some rather interesting wizards of old. Wow, I've never heard of these wizards before.. Dovie thought as she leaned forward in her chair, undeniably intrigued by the story she was reading of a young boy who'd gone into a forest to curse a group of leprechauns that had caused trouble for his father, and ended up starting the first of the peace treaties with them instead. Intruiging! Dovie thought, her eyes a bright lime green as she becme deeply involved in the stories.[/glow]bg
OOC: I never said you were a prefect... The exact thing I said was "and us... a prefect" meaning me *points to himself*, myself *points to his left shoulder*, and I *points to his right shoulder*. And if you think that saying that you have been studying mind defenses since you were 3 is supposed to impress me and justify your ability to withstand legilimency from me... why would that be... your character is 19 so that would be 16 years of experience in such arts, is that why you assume so? You believe you would have more experience than my character with such things? My character still has many mores years of experience than you, regardless of the fact that he says he is 17. And in addition... I'm not using legilimency to delve deep within her mind, just to see enough to judge her next action. An easy enough feat for someone with 20+ years of experience.
"All I'm asking is for you not to bother the girl, that's it. And yea, I protect kids who've done nothing to be hurt. Just don't bother... " she said while turning her bracelet and still ominously pointing her wand at Faust's face. "And if you try to move I will curse you into oblivion." She stood there a moment scowling down towards the immobile student before jumping off the bookcase and sitting in an armchair.
"Well now," said Faust quietly to himself, "She was ever so rude, I think I will have to do something about this assault of my person."
As he lifted himself up from where he had been lying, he pulled out his wand whilst toying with the idea of what he should do to her. "She may have threatened me, but I know that it was empty," he muttered to his left shoulder. A smile spread across his face while he seemed to belistening to something that was there, "Well, yes... she does seem to be hiding something within her mind, but that can be extracted as easily as was the knowledge that she wasn't going to act upon her threats. For the meantime... maybe she would like a closer look at that book that she's reading. Perhaps the script may be too small for her to read." He pointed his wand at the book and laughed coldly as it grew to 20 times its original size. "Oh, and as a sidenote... " he muttered to himself before shouting out,"10 points from Gryffindor!"

OOC: I find it absolutely useless to impress anyone, so I don't go about trying to. I was merely stating that it wouldn't work "considering she's been taught to fight it since she was little." The ancient ways of the indigenous peoples of the americas are far, far older than anyone cares to remember, and those are the ways she has been taught. C'mon, she fights off pure evil from attacking her village all the time.. That's why she's gone on trips all the time. It's never anything she takes vacation from. And, if your character has had worth 20+ years of experience, then fine. It still wouldn't matter if she's able to fight it off, would it? If you want it justified at all (as if anything I say to prove my point will make a darn bit of difference to you), she withstood Danawi at MH. Once again, however, she is not holding a wand. She's holding her wrist, which is a very different thing altogether. Her wand has not once come out, it's still in her cloak.
[glow=purple,2,300]Great, a Prefect. I should have noted that. What are they doing letting someone like that be a--- No, stop Dovie, Talon know's what he's doing. You know that by now... "Yes, Sir..." Dovie spoke in as mild a manner as she could muster and shrank the text back down to size. As long as he doesn't go messing around bullying kids.. Dovie thought as she gently placed the book down, tiring of the stories after a while. She stood, instead, and walked deeper into the library, her curiosity piqued in the merest trace thought she may find something about her People in here. She skimmed through aisle upon aisle of shelves until some discreet, tanned-hide books caught her eye. She glanced at them, momentarily as it was, from the corner of her eye. She'd mistakenly paused for a moment, missing only half a step, and moved on. Better not to do it now while others are here... Dovie thought as she put up her walls. She continued her leisurely stroll down the hundreds of hundreds of shelving units, bookcases, and aisles before reaching an area in the back she knew students were not permitted to enter without a staff note of reasonable cause. Her gaze lingered for a mere moment before she turned swiftly on her heel and headed in another direction. I wish I could be allowed to browse through there, just once, to see what it is that's so high-security... I've learned enough from my Elders to be conidered 'Able,' but... I need to be 'Able and well-defended'... Dovie's thoughts turned off again as she neared the Divination books. She quickly turned a different direction, thoroughly disliking such..such.. Horrible things Dovie finished for herself, before turning towards Astronomy. [/glow]bg
