**Note: the main intents of this thread are as such: to test out the prospect of a monologue plot, to work on my writing skills, and to see just how insane I really am, OOC (Faye, keep quiet). You may, of course, join in in some way, but remember the original intents. Thank you.**
"My beloved enemy, I declare you besieged!" said Muryllis, glaring at the rusty model knight standing on a corner reading table. He marched around the perimeter of chairs he had made, imprisoning the poor soldier in his fort. "For harming me during my attempts to practice and learn the noble Expelliarmus Spell, you shall now pay dearly! To the death I say! Shall you or shall you not sally forth, wretched dog?"
This was great. Though he knew the true purpose of what he was doing was to learn this new spell, which he had found in a Book of Useful Spells and Counterspells, he couldn't help chuckling to himself at this system. He hadn't had true fun since he was a young child. I just hope nobody comes along and declares me insane before the entire school, he thought with a shiver.
The statue just stood there. "A noble choice indeed, mine enemy, for you have spared yourself a terrible death in starvation! The battle begins!" And with this, Muryllis expertly whipped out his wand (a third of a second to a ready position, as his friend had checked back in Nostri Magi,) imagined the word Expelliarmus floating through his mind, and felt his wand vibrate. Then himself; the spell had backfired again. "Ah-hah, on the offensive? Fine then, have it your way!" he muttered, taking cover behind a chair and trying the spell again. He felt the chair lurch at him, pushing him back onto the ground. This would be one long battle.
