A loud noise echoed through the literary as Tasai slammed her books down on a table in an area were no one ever goes. The librarian walked over to her and told her to be quiet. "Fine!"Tasi snarled at him and sat down. She opened her book to the first chapter and began to read page by page. She would take a quick glance every now and then of someone that would walk bye. Tasai would give them such a frightful look that they would keep walking bye instead of walking up to her and trying to make conversation.Stupid people...why cant I just be left alone? The next person is probably not going to be so luckyTasai stuck her nose in the book and tried to ignore the menacing people that looked at her.
Tasai was now on the fifth chapter and the book just keep getting better and better. She would put it down and take a drink of her water bottle every now and then. Now the librarian stopped checking on her because she was so quiet. As Tasai put her book down to get another drink she accidentally hit the stack of books on the table in front of her, making the books fall to the floor. "Dang."
The librarian was having a quiet conversation with a flame-haired man at the circulation counter. Apparently, it was about the soggy book at his elbow which was in such a sorry state one could hardly tell it was a book at all. However, this exchange was soon interrupted by a loud smack of books on a table. Excusing himself, the librarian went off to the back of the room to reprimand whoever had disturbed the peace of the library.
It seemed the red haired visitor was, in fact, a professor here at this school, though he looked no older than twenty-five years. However, despite this, he usually wore a severe expression that did not suit his age. Leaving the book on the desk in a steadily growing puddle, he began idly browsing a nearby bookshelf. He had never entered the library before, strange as it seems, and he felt he might as well have a look around before he left. He had been particularly engrossed in a biography of some dark wizard when he was jolted out of his reading by a series of loud thuds followed by a “dang”.
“My, clumsy, are we?” he remarked with a smirk. The professor had not looked up from his book.
Picking up the books as quick as possible Tasai heard a voice come from a man who stood above her. "Why if it isn't mister obvious." Tasai ignored the man and picked up her books. Setting them on the table Tasai stood in front of the man and grinned. "You must feel pretty smart now dont ya?" Tasai sat on the edge of the table looking at the man with her purple eyes.
Tasai told herself that she was going to give the next person who looked at her or talked to her hell and so she did. Looking at the man still Tasai glared like no other. She crossed her arms, for some reason she felt as by the way this man was and looked he was just as rude and evil as she was.
The man leaning against the bookshelves snapped his book shut, finally turning to look at the Slytherin student. His eyes were a piercing green that easily matched the girl's glare without effort. It was easy to see that both student and professor posessed short-fused tempers, but it was likely that the similarities ended there. As for whether he was "good" or "evil", that would reveal itself in its own sweet time. He felt no need to pick sides so hastily. In any case, the concepts of good and evil varied with the eye of the beholder.
"I suppose I do feel smart," he replied coolly. He replaced the book where he had found it and continued to examine the library bookshelves, eventually selecting another book with a title he found interesting. "But if you feel the need to prove your own intelligence with those smart-aleck comments," the man continued in a bored tone. "I suggest not directing them to me. I may have a sudden urge to dock points from Slytherin." bg
The professor leaned against a book shelf as he grabbed another book and began to look at it. "I suggest not directing them to me. I may have a sudden urge to dock points from Slytherin." "Oh yeah about that sorry......I guess. My name is Tasai and what might yours bee sir." Tasai grinned at him as she looked directly into his eyes not looking in any other direction. Tasai's facial expression stayed the same also. She just looked at him with a grin, and her pale face shinning from a light abover her.
"So just out of curiosity what is a Professor doing in the librairy? I have never seen one in here before until now." Tasai looked down at the chair next to the table and sat down. "Would you like to sit with me. Or are you to good for a student?" Tasai began with her rude remarks all over again. She truly had not control of what she would say to someone. Words just blurted out of her mouth, but Tasai had no problem witht that.
The flame-haired man raised his eyebrows at the student before him. She certainly seemed odd. One moment she was all spines and spitfire, and the next, she was perfectly normal. Through his experience, that typically meant that particular individual was only putting on a tough façade. Whether that was the case or not, it would reveal itself in its own time. Meeting her grinning face with a bemused expression, he closed his book once more. “My name, Miss Tasai, is Professor Hawkins.” He turned to face her and crossed his arms, his book tucked under an elbow. “I teach Charms, which I believe is a required class for all students. Surely you knew my name already, assuming that you haven’t been cutting classes,” he said deliberately, giving the Slytherin a severe look.
At this point, the man seemed to lose interest and began thumbing through his book again, the pages making rustling sounds as he turned them. “I don’t know about you, but most of us come to the library for the books, hm?” he said vaguely, in way of an answer. “And here’s a small bit of advice: attempting to insult people makes them less inclined to sit with you.” Professor Hawkins remained leaning on the side of the bookshelves.
"I must say you are really good at reading people. I must say though I have not been having a good time since I have arived here and it is really hard to fit in. I know I have to be nice but my rudeness is just apart of me and I can't get rid of it.........Oh look at me I am going on about nothing." Tasai blushed at her embaressment. "I must sound really moody and stupid huh?"
Tasai was did not want to here what the prfessor was going to say but she made the stupid decision asking him. What is up with me today? I am acting weird.Tasai just looked down in emberassment.
The Charms professor turned the page of his book and raised his eyebrows without looking up. “I fail to see how this is my problem,” he said bluntly. “And I seriously doubt you would truly want to hear my answer.” Not only was it an awkward question in the first place, his answer was not the nicest thing he could say. In earlier years he might have just said it as Tasai probably might have, but these days, though he hardly bothered to soften his words, he found that he had been biting his tongue more often. “In any case,” he continued. “That’s hardly a reasonable excuse for skipping classes, is it?” He finally looked up from his book, giving her a harsh look. “If you continue with that I may find a reason to take points from Slytherin after all.”
"I am sorry but I am trying to be nice after the fact that I was just mean and all you can say to me is very rude things. If I may ask which you probably will not answer since you seem to hate me terribly, but why are you so cold hearted?" Tasai stood up and walked over to the Professor. She stood in front of him trying to see if there was something in his eyes that might have encountered the probelm.
Tasai smiled. "Is there no true good in you...........do you really have a black heart? I don't think you do I just think that you need something or someone." Tasai new that she was going to get punished for her actions, but there was something about this professor that made her curious.
The professor seemed surprised at the Slytherin student’s words or nonplussed at the very least. No true good? Black heart? The flame-haired man gave Tasai an odd look. The girl had apparently been reading too many dime-store novels. “Uh...” was all he seemed to be able to say in reply. Being asked why he did things the way he did was almost the same as asking why the sky was blue. It was just how he was.
The girl might have been trying to find a hint of something in the professor’s gaze, but two green eyes blinking in confusion was all there was. However, that moment quickly passed, and Anil’s usual severe expression returned to his face. “Look, I’m sorry if I seem ‘evil’ or something to you, but I don’t have time to worry about what other people think of me.” He closed his book and shoved it irritably back into its place on the shelves. “And I don’t hate you, so don’t go spreading that rot around either.” It seemed the only punishment Tasai was going to get was from the Charms professor’s sharp tongue.
Tsai was astonished by the professor's sharp tongue. "Well if you dont hate me then why are you threatening to take points from my house. I don't think you are evil, but why don't you care what people think about you. If you were nicer or sweeter, never going to happen, people would like you more. You just seem like there is something that is making you act this way and if it is me then I will leave. I know that I have bad temper issues but that is becuase I really never had anyone there for me. I try but it just does not work." Tasai could feel the tears in her eyes begin to form. No I will not cry. She turned away for a moment and wipped the tears away. "Sorry."
The professor frowned, resisting the urge to slap a hand to his head in frustration. Whatever he did, it seemed to make the girl upset. He opened his mouth, about to make some sharp retort, but the words never made it past his throat. This Tasai girl, she was crying. He realized this even though she turned away. Whatever he did always made the situation worse, it seemed. “Okay, I won’t take points, how does that sound?” he muttered gruffly. Anil crossed his arms awkwardly as he waited for the Slytherin to regain her composure. He never did deal well with crying. “Look,” he said finally, “if I’m making you cry, you can leave or I’ll leave or something. This is how I am and you don’t like the way I am then that’s your problem.” Anil grimaced. That sounded rougher than he meant it. The flame-haired man looked as if he wanted to say something else, but changed his mind. It would have come out wrong anyway.

Out of a weird feeling Tasai turned around and looked straight at the professor. Her cheeks still wet from the tears. "As a matter of fact I...............I............I was her first but I do not want you to leave. I am sorry. Truly I am, but what you just said there was a little harsh and mean so if you had any other way of saying please do it kinda hurt my feelings. And yes I do have them...................................Uh now I am beeing nice what is wrong with me?" Tasai kinda smiled at him as she whipped the remains of the tears away.
