Malachy had been sitting in the library for the past few hour Doing some semi-non-school related Research. He had a book about some dangerous magical creatures and was reading about the ways of Lycans and werewolves. There had been something that happened recently to to spark his interest on the human Hybrids.
(sorry it's short. Add something to it for me to go off of.)

((No prob.))
It was Friday afternoon. The library was pretty busy. Silvain flitted from shelf to shelf with a growing pile of astronomy books. Once he had so many that he could barely see over them, he staggered toward the tables, looking for one. They were all pretty full; there wasn't a single one empty. But, there was one with only one other person at it, a Slytherin, from his uniform.
He made his way over to him, and paused, setting his books down as gently as he could.
"Excuse me," he said quietly. "Do you mind if I sit here? the tables are all taken; I promise I won't talk or annoy you..."
*NOTE TO ALL: I'm leaving the site with this character, but look for a new, older Ravie to come in at the beginning of the school year next year who actually knows something about magic and can participate in the main plots without the need for the teachers who aren't here. Thanks. ((AND YES, I AM REALLY A GIRL IRL!!!)) *Shock of shocks*
Malachy jumped a little being startled. he had been reading something and the boy had been quiet in his approach so Malachy wasn't expecting it at first. He looking to the source of the voice and saw a rather young looking Ravenclaw. In fact Malachy wouldn't be surprised if it was only the kids first of second year. Malachy wasn't doing anything that important. He laughed a bit his heart was still racing from the reflex of being startled, and laughter help to abate it.
"Sure, there's no problem, and I'm not doing anything too important right now. You don't have to worry about disturbing me." He assured him. The curiosity got the best of him. "What year are you, smarty?" He asked it was more for just wanting to know it didn't really matter to him. And smarty was more of a pet name he used for Ravenclaws till he knew their real name.

"Um, first..." Silvain said, sitting down hesitantly, unsure if the nickname was supposed to be offensive or not. "...You?" he asked, pushing all his books to one side and attempting to tug a thin Muggle notebook from the very bottom.

"Depends on what you mean really, First year at this school, but It's my 6th once you count the 5 Years I spent at Hogwarts." He explained. Then he saw the muggle not book, it use paper rather than parchment. Malachy never really cared about who a wizard descended from. And knew from experience that family can write a reputation that one might not want. And now he wanted to be some what cautious. The boy was either Half-blood or muggle born to be owning such a note book. And if this boy had met Shadow, he's definitely know about the reputation of the Black family tree, and would probably be afraid to find out that Malachy was from that family tree. Malachy loathed his cousin, and looked up to his uncle, Sirius.
"And your name?" He asked trying to sound politely curious. He wanted to try and make friends maybe even learn a little about the muggle world in the process.

"...Silvain, you?" Silvain said, feeling a little self-conscious. The older student's look was not the only one Silvain had ever gotten when he'd carried around his notebook. He pulled a pencil out of a pocket in his robe where his wand was supposed to be.
He noticed this guy had white hair too, and wondered why. His red eyes were kinda creepy, but Silvain wouldn't ask about them.

"Malachy." He responded. He noticed the curious way Silvain was looking at him he had gotten random stares like this before. Not every one was accustomed to seeing an albino especially one of their own species. "I'm guessing you're not doing too bad in school." He said, trying to start up some small conversation.

"Eh...I could be doing better," Silvain said. "It's kinda hard, getting used to all this...I have two Muggle parents, and they're scientists, so I didn't know anything about magic 'till I came here, really..."

So he was a muggle born. He had definitely heard of this, science Even in the wizarding world they knew about Newton, and with out Galileo the wouldn't have such a good understanding of the cosmos. However, he did grown up in the wizarding world and he only knew the basics since he had adapted to less mundane means The only reason he was a haldf blood was because his mother, whose maiden name was Black, was born a squib and so was technically a muggle.
"Well, then we are on sort of common ground, I come from an almost completely wizarding background. You know If you need help figuring out anything I can help if you want." He offered.

Common ground? I don't think so...
"Heh. You're not the only one who's offered me that, y'know? At lreast I've figured out that I'm apparently not an oddball, since everyone's so used to it and willing to help..." Silvain said quietly.

Malachy nodded, "Well, your not that odd really. At least you have a reason for being a little different." he explained. He too was somewhat odd, and not just because of the way he looked. His difference involved his houses reputation. Slytherin house looked for power and leadership potential, and many abused such strengths. Malachy, was different. Malachy noticed how quite Silvian was being. "Do you not want the help?" He asked.

Silvain gave a sort of a noncommittal head-and-shoulder gesture, looking away.
"I'm...not...used to asking other kids for help," he said quietly. "I mean...I'm not a Ravenclaw for no reason, y'know...But what do you mean, 'I have a reason for being different'?"

Well my family has a history of anti-muggle born habits. With the family I come from most would expect a Slytherin as full of guile and sinister ambition as any other. But the way I see it I wasn't put into the house I am because of my guile but because of my cunning and ambition. I could care less whether you where Pure blood or muggle born but most the students I know in my house despises me for it so I am different even though I have no reason to be. But you, you have an excuse. Ignorance of magic because you where raised without. is your reason for being difference.

"Oh, sounds great when you put it that way," Silvain said with a sigh. "But thanks for the warning, at least. I didn't know Slytherins didn't like people like me."
He paused, looking down at his notebook, and frowned.
"Y'know..." He looked up. "I've heard rumors about people saying Slytherins are evil or deceptive or whatever, but so far the one's I've met don't seem to be that bad. Or at least not ill-meaning..." he said, remembering History of Magic when Lucre thoroughly embarrassed him with a charm to make his chair move...

They are not all bad. but when a house is filled of student with power lust. There are a lot that take it too far. Including that last major dark wizard. In fact that wizard was a direct decedent of the founder of this castle and my house. However saying every Slytherin is evil is like saying everyone else is trust worthy one hundred percent of the time." He said with abit of smile that would be gien to a child that was having something simple explained to them.
"Well, since you won't be having any problems as far as academics. How about this, if anyone out of the snake house harasses you for your bloodline let me know. I'll try to get them off your back." Then he had an idea it. Something that the young wizard might benefit from in the future. "You know, if your interested I could teach you a spell that's a little high for your year if you like. It's not one that will get you in trouble." He was thinking of seeing of the Ravenclaw could handle the Patronus.
