The summer had begun, and Colette had been dropped off at her school without so much as a good-bye hug from her mother and father. Of course, she hadn't expected one, though the fact that they had brought her straight from one school to another, without asking if she wanted to come home, had greatly annoyed the incoming Fifth Year. Colette thought about all her friends at her old Academy and wished she could see them; writing wasn't the same, but whatever. She would get over it, just like she always did.
"Il doit y avoir quelque chose pour faire ici (There must be something to do around here)," Colette grumbled as she walked through the rows and rows of books. What she was really looking for was a trap door, a hidden room, something fun and exciting like that. One of the best hide-out spots-- a place known for snogging and mischief and jokes-- had been in the library at her old school, so Colette hoped there might be a similar one here.
She wandered around in some of the new Muggle clothes she had gotten back in France-- more American-style than French, but she didn't want to have only French clothes. So she was wearing cute little jean shorts and an adorable purple and blue floral empire top. She was comfortable and cute, with her long black hair up in a ponytail. Colette also had a piercing on her face called a Marilyn piercing, and it shone with a little diamond there, not big so it wouldn't look stupid. Gracing her feet were some comfortable tan moccasins, just for lounging around in but that would still look cute.
Colette was falling in love with her new home, but she wished there was something more to do than to wander around. In other words, the tiny Fifth Year was bored out of her mind.
