Aether Shardae walked around the library, and was very content. It had been a few days since she had been there, and it was nice to be able to return the books she had just finished and get more. As she walked along, she looked up and saw a book up high that she suddenly had to read. Unfortunately, she wasn't quite tall enough to reach it.
Standing on her toes, Aether reached and strained, trying her hardest to get it. Unfortunately, it didn't quite work. "Accio stool,"[/i] Aether mumbled, flicking her wand and waiting for a stool to come her way. As soon as it settled itself down in front of her, she stepped up on top of it and was able to get the book she wanted.
But that wasn't it-- no, it was never it. The book, being larger than expected, was heavier than Aether had thought and it nearly knocked her on the head when she pulled it off the shelf. Turning her head so it wouldn't hit her square in the middle, Aether stepped off the stool. The worst part was, the book still knocked her on the head.
Even worse-- oh yes, this could get worse-- is the fact that her Muggle contact popped right out! The one eye she wore a contact in was because she was half-blind, and the sky-blue contact hid the fact that her eye was really a milky-white. So now, her eye was exposed, and Aether didn't know what to do. Dropping the book on the ledge of the bookshelf, Aether started crawling around on the floor trying to find it, and hoping that it would be fast.
Of course, the thought didn't cross her mind to just use the Accio spell again. A dumb blond moment for a smart brunette Ravenclaw.
