Mayu had finally gotten away from her sister, who had insisted on borrowing her robes. They had exchanged them in the bathroom, not like Mayu cared. Apparently Yuma was perpetrating something, but Mayu didn't even want to know. She was perfectly content in her sister's Slytherin robes, reading books that people told her were difficult. She never really understood the reason why any of these books would be difficult. She just enjoyed reading them. It might tell someone that she wasn't Yuma, but Yuma was elsewhere, so it didn't matter. She was reading seventh year textbooks, enjoying them as normal people might enjoy a good romance book. She wasn't about to try any of the spells, but some of them were interesting.
She had time, today, for her research. She had lay many of the books out on the table, all open, turned to pages on the most random of things. Some of the books she had lay out were her own. One was titled, "History of Western Civilization: A look at post-industrial cultures as they developed throughout history". Mayu was intently reading a paragraph about the National Socialist party of early 20th century Germany. It was vaguely interesting. Apparently they had used weapons using the explosive force of combustion in an attempt to instate their leader as the ruler of the country. Later, it seemed, he was ELECTED into office. Mayu wondered what the muggles were thinking, making that choice. Some muggles weren't very smart. She pulled over another book, leaving the first to the side, and dropped it on top of the first.
Gun - A weapon that fires a projectile through a small tube using explosive force from an internal detonation. Yes, it seems she was right. She wondered why muggles would make such a thing as a weapon like this... Oh! But muggles couldn't just make food! This must have been meant as a hunting tool.
Hunting - The process of finding and killing animals for sport or sustenance. Yes. She was right. Muggles needed to gather food. They must have a difficult time. She was glad she had this Merriam-Webster book. That trip to the muggle bookstore was worth it. She may actually want to go back to that muggle eating place and resume her job during the summer.
She absent-mindedly pulled another book over her dictionary. This one read "Calculus: Integrals and Derivatives with one Variable." She let herself calculate some of the sample problems. Oh! She did that one wrong! You can't integrate ∫Sin(Ɵ)³ dƟ. That's right... What a silly mistake... She tried to think of another way to go about it, but it wasn't an easy problem... She began to erase the problem off of the piece of paper she had been using as scrap...
