It had been a while since anything Had happened in the Hospital Wing. Ashelle's quiet shifts had become quite boring. However this left the perfect opportunity for her to advance her Healing Skills. She had combed the Hospital Wing library for the book she desired. It had taken forever to even find the section she wanted, when she did there were only two books in it neither of which seemed to have the Potions she needed.
"For Goddess sake!" she groaned, flipping through the pages. "There has got to be a way to halt their progress! This place is supposed to have everything! Huh I bet they burned in the War, that would be just my luck!" She huffed and sat back in her chair, angry at the world for no reason at all. Why hadn't anyone done more research on this? It clearly was, and Had always been at epidemic proportions, if -as Sylph had claimed- it happened to every girl.
Ashelle poked her developing chest fat and wondered aloud: "I wonder if i should just cut it off with a Severing Charm - they are said to be painless, or maybe shrink it with a Shrinking Charm."

Charlotte had spent the afternoon in the Greenhouse once again, absorbing herself in the fragile art of taking care of the plants inside. It was strange just how calm the Hufflepuff girl was when she emersed herself in gardening, and she was more than grateful that the Professor allowed her to linger round outside of classes.
That was of course until something bit her. "Ouch! You fu--" Charl started, shutting up at the last moment. So much for her calm reverie. Maybe she had been too calm for the famed Dandy Lions that day. If Sylph brought her's up, too, then the brunette would have a problem on her hands. "Ugh," she whined, looking at the mark on her bare arm. That actually hurt. "Looks like a trip to the namby pampy Hospital Wing." With a roll of her eyes, she headed for the door. It was going to be a long afternoon.
Pushing the door open, Charlotte could only hear Ashelle whinging about something. "What's your problem?" she asked, a sigh leaving her lips as she looked back at the bite on her arm. Looked like there was something else to be done first - solve whatever it was the nurse herself was having problems with. Sitting down on the chair near the desk, Charl crossed her legs one over the other. "Come on, spit it out then you can help me out and sort out this bite. It kills like a fu--bi-- bite!!"
"Maybe I could just burn them off for you. It would be more then my pleasure."
A highly sarcastic voice came from the doors of the Hospital Wing as yet another figure entered. She had seen Charlotte walk into the school when Roan herself had been walking through. She had payed it no attention until she had seen where the girl was headed and found herself with the itsiest bit of worry. So naturally the Hufflepuff had followed her. Apparently the younger one hadnt heard her calling in the hall...or had chosen to just ignore her, she wouldnt be surprised of either one really. Now that she could see that it was just a bite on the younger girl's arm, her worry was replaced by another emotion entirely.
Hate.
Roan had hated Ashelle for a very long time, as long as she had known the stuck up red head. And this was no exception. Distance did not make the heart grow fonder. The brunette smirked, brushing a lock of brown hair behind her shoulder and then casually holding that hand out in front of her. It took almost no effort at all to call the usual flame to her hand, hovering there nicely and neatly. The Hufflepuff held it in the direction of the nurse, that smirk still on her face, knowing that she could very well just engulf the girl in it...but then that wouldnt be very fun, would it? So she clenched her hand shut and the fire was extinguished.
"Then again, that would be a complete waste of my skills because some pureblood has her nose so high up in the air that she cannot look down for a moment and realize that she is girl. And then is so closed minded that she can't accept that fact." She said evilly, turning her gaze then to Charlotte, her expression a bit softer. "You alright there Charlotte? What did you manage to do that you need the help of carrot top here, a prank on a student not go so well?" She said jokingly, a totally different tone towards this girl. It was completely in jest, well, the part toward Charlotte at least.

Ashelle was about to reply to Charlotte when who should arrive other than her Arch Rival Roan Hot-Head. Ashelle frowned at her cruel remarks. It had only been in the heat of the moment that Ashelle had wished to try self-mutilation, there was no WAY she'd have ever really resorted to that unless something drastic happened to change her small size to something gargantuan over night. She was about to retort with something scathing and haughty, but then as if on cue the Amulet Sylph and given her and Sylph words echoed in her mind. Try and have some fun Ashelle smiled roguishly
"Oh go cool off Hot-Head, life isn't always about you and your Boring Fire powers. I've got work to do here . . anyway -" she turned to Charlotte. "Just what made that bite there? Kinda looks like thorn puncture wounds, yet in the pattern of an small animal bite . . . I wish Herbology were still a functioning class, I'd love to see what made that mark!"
Ashelle shook her head and went to get the Standard Thorn Healing Potion. It happened to be a topical, and almost instantly worked too. She came back with a gauze and the bottle of potion and holding the gauze to the bottle mouth tipped it up twice. She then put the bottle down on the desk and handed the gauze to Charlotte.
"If you would place this on they wounds and hold it there for 20 seconds, that will just about do it. If there is any more pain I'd suggest a mild Pain relief potion and to rest your arm, but that shouldn't be the case." Ashelle sat down in her chair. "As for my problem it is NOT that I don't realize I am a girl OR that I can't accept it. I do like being a Girl for all the dresses and pretty clothes you get to wear, what I don't like is all this unneeded fat."
She sighed. "It seems no matter what I do for exorcise I can't seem to lose these god-awful curves. They get in my way -well they would if they get any bigger at least- and I don't like how sometimes I'll be sad or angry or depressed and I have no reason to be. It's driving me up a wall, is all, and I was just trying to find a cure or something to ease the symptoms. I simply don't have time for growing up right now."

"Dandy Lion bite," Charlotte answered in response to Roan's question. Looked like she had company after all, and company which would at least get her out of there sooner rather than later. Accepting the gauze gratefully, Charl winced as she applied it but was careful to bite her tongue and not let any more foul language almost slip. "Yeah, I hang around in the greenhouses keeping the plants okay...but the Dandy Lion didn't like me today."
Listening to the nurse's complaints, Charlotte took the potion doused gauze off and rose both brows. "You're serious? All that was over your body growing?" Quickly, a small smile appeared on a mischevous face. "Hate to break it to you, honey but they aren't going to get any smaller. Few days time, they'll get so big, you have to go in for surgery to reduce them to normal. Happens to us all."
Roan smirked at the name that Ashelle called her. She came up with insults like a ten year old did. Then again, she wasnt that old really, so a ten year old's comments did fit her. The Hufflepuff just shrugged it off and let her talk to Charlotte, pretending to inspect the nails on one hand idly while she did so. When the nurses's voice brought up her body again though the Hufflepuff broke up into laughter, to the point that tears were coming out of her hazel eyes, leaking down her face. "Oh, that is good Ashelle." She said with a laugh, hearing Charlotte address the problem. "Of course they are only going to get bigger." Roan agreed, leaning up against a wall with her arm, that smirk still on her face.
"I mean, it isnt just genes that make us grow curves. Though with your family being purebloods and probably rich leeches they were probably pretty big...meaning I wouldnt be surprised if you were as well. There are your eating habits as well to consider, you can't blame the fact you eat a lot on genetics." There was cruelty in her voice. She reserved her true loathing for few, and Ashelle was one of them. "And growing up? Physically, more like growing sideways. Mentally, never. Emotionally...well, we could just hope if you ever advance an inch in that department."
Roan winked at Charlotte, glad to see that her injury was shaping up. It was almost funny because she used to yell at the younger one for being a prick. Ah well, everyone was a hypocrite at sometime. "And don't think to call my fire boring Ashelle." She said carefully, calling a bit of it to her palm and letting it snake out towards Ashelle's face. It lingered there for a moment before pulling back before any harm could be done. "At least I have the self control in my life to be able to handle such a fire. You don't even have the control to watch your food."
Was Roan being cruel?
Yes.
Did she care?
Nope.
If this is to end in fire Then we shall all burn together Watch the flames climb high into the night

Ashelle raised her eye brow at both of them. Were they being stupid, or did they really think she'd believe them? "Okaaaaaay, First of all I have read up on this. Your -er- boobs don't get THAT big till you have children. Second, no one has 'Operations' in the Wizarding World, I'd imagine you'd have a Healer use some sort of Shrinking Charm if worst came to worst.
It was at this point that Hot-Head started talking about her family. Ashelle sighed, wondering how stupid this conversation was going to get. Apparently very stupid indeed. Roan spoke very ill of her dead family, accusing them of being 'rich leeches who were 'pretty big'. Ashelle shook her head in disbelief, there was nothing this kid wouldn't stoop to, it was annoying really. No wonder Roan didn't make it into Gryffindor, she had courage, sure but no tact or chivalry.
"I am glad to see you have no respect, that will insure you won't make it too far once you graduate. Soft Skills are very important, and if you continue to insult the dead, not even a Muggle Place would hire you, I am sure. Lack of Soft Skills are like facial tattoos in that instance." Ashelle shook her head as Roan tried to inflict more unfounded and down right silly accusations.
"Have you even seen me eat? I honestly don't think you have. Because of this I never finish whats on my plate any more." She would have added something about her idea of asking Firefox to get smaller plates but she didn't want to open another can of worms. Finally Hot Head thought she'd insult Ashelle's maturity. Ashelle just stared at her, puzzled at why Roan had ever bothered her before.
"Yeaaaah, Sylph told me I needed to let go and have fun more, indicating that I am way TOO mature for my age group, but then I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't know the meaning of the word in the first place. However just as Ashelle was about to dismiss Roan from the Wing the girl did something that actually did upset her. She again used her fire power this time bringing it far to close to Ashelle person for her liking. Ashelle Was about to let loose a torrent of cold water, when the fire was called back and extinguished. If only Ashelle's Anger could be so easily quenched.
"Get Out Of My Hospital Wing!!!" She thundered, "Or I'll have you written up for using Fire here! One, you could Hurt Someone and Two, you might cause an Potion explosion and destroy the Wing! Get Out! And don't come back until your ready to show some respect toward your Fellow Wizards and Witches!!" Technically there was only one small first year there who was recovering from a Flaying lessons accident but still.

Okay, maybe she should have kept her mouth firmly shut. Quickly, what had started out as a bit of fun had exploded into an arguement. Flinching as her bite began to hurt again, Charl put the gauze back on. Surely another twenty seconds would help, right? Brown eyes flicked from girl to girl as each spoke their piece, Roan playing with fire as the younger 'Puff had done on some occasions, and Ashelle not reacting well at all. Roan knew what she was goin, Charl knew she did, yet...
"Get Out Of My Hospital Wing!!!"
Flinching this time from the loud words, Charlotte sprang to her feet and looked first at Ashelle, then at Roan, then shook her head. "Guys... stop this already? My arm is killing here and you two are bickering. Okay I didn't help, but this really does hurt..."
Wimp
Sitting back down on the chair, the brunette closed her eyes. Maybe she was getting that little bit more passive as she got that little day older. Turning her vision back to the redhead, Charl carried on: "But Roan's right, you know... they are going to get bigger... and you're going to get curvier as a person...it's just something that happens. Sylph's right, too..." As always, the brunette found herself bitterly adding.
"Lighten up a little. Have some fun. Roan knows what she's doing and wouldn't let it get out of hand. She's having some fun.."
What had gotten into her? Maybe, in a way, she felt sorry for the Gryffindor. After all, although this hadn't happened on a major scale to Charlotte yet, it wasn't far around the corner. Not far at all.

Ashelle cleared her throat and straighted her Nurses apron. Unfortunately Charlotte was right, while she was on the clock she had a job to do. "I am sorry Charlotte for hurting your ears." She said, to be sure Roan knew she was not at all sorry for yelling at her, only sorry to her patient. "Now then you say it still hurts, hmmm, let me see. Ashelle looked at the arm closely to find the puncture wounds still looked quite fresh. "My my, was this -erm- Dandy Lion poisonous by any chance? If so I might have to use a stronger potion, and you might have to take a spoonful or two of Bezoar Brew just to be safe. Tastes like Limestone, but it's not so bad."
Ashelle looked at Charlotte concerned all thoughts of her mean comments forgotten. This was the first injury on her shift in months and Ashelle was damned if she was going to mess it up. "If you don't know if it is poisonous I'll have to look up the plant in a book to see. But that shouldn't be a problem . . . " She had forgotten about her own fat problems for a moment and focus on her job completely, even to the point of forgetting that Charlotte had just repeated her remark about getting larger abit, much less rudely than before.
