Jeremy made his way up to the eighth floor, which was hard enough, but his hardest task was yet to come. He would have to have a conversation with the Headmaster face to face. Luckily, there was nothing bad that could come out of this, besides the answer 'no' to Jeremy's question.
He started making his way along the hallway, looking at all of the portraits that covered the walls. Jeremy had no clue who these people were, but he knew that he probably will find out when he attends Talon's classes when the school term starts. Eventually he made it to the large Phoenix, made from ruby. Jeremy heard to gain access to Talon's office, that all you need to do is treat the statue as if it was another being.
"Hello, I want access to Talon's office, so I can speak with him."
To Jeremy's astonishment, the phoenix moved out of the way, revealing the Headmaster's door. The Gryffindor came here hoping that Talon would sign a permission slip so Jeremy could be an intern with a department within the Ministry of Magic. He wanted to be a little more important within the wizarding community, and he also wanted to have experience.
Jeremy took a deep breath and knocked on the door.

So Talon had been busy, lately, and people understood that. He was a busy man, fulfilling his duties as Headmaster and helping Julius Plutus's fledgling government in Madrid. If Talon hadn't enough of them during his lifetime, he would seriously consider why he never got a vacation with his job.
The blonde wizard was leaning over his desk, his left hand holding his head on its side as he scribbled away notes and profiles with his right. His pencil, transfigured from a twig in his fourth year, was very precious to him as it was the first and easiest thing he had ever changed from one form to another. Few knew, due to his class and his frequent tendencies of ranting, that Transfiguration was a great passion of his.
That aside, a knock came to his door, just as it came everyday. Talon was a busy man, but he eventually got around to seeing people, and sometimes he even got out of his office. "Come in," Talon said casually, continuing his writing.
Jeremy pushed the door open, revealing the office of Talon Windwaltz. It was clear from all of the filing cabinets, and the overall clutterness of the office, that he was a very busy man. The Gryffindor student walked along the purple carpet, until he was about a foot away from the desk of the Headmaster. There he noticed the bookshelves that were behind Talon, and all of the books upon the shelves. He turned his attention to the Headmaster, who was sitting at his desk.
"Sorry to bother you Mr. Windwaltz, but I need to ask you for a favor. I am wondering if you can give, and sign, a permission slip that will let me intern in the Ministry of Magic," Jeremy said quietly, and quickly. The blonde didn't want to waste the time of his headmaster.
Jeremy came to Talon, instead of all of the other professors, because he felt that Talon would agree to give him a permission slip. Even though this was one of the first times Jeremy had talked to Talon and even though that they had no relationship whatsoever, he felt that Talon trusted him. Why else would Talon make Jeremy Prefect in the first year attending Firefox University.

Talon's let his hand slide away from his head and turned to see who had come in. To his great surprise, it was someone he hadn't seen in almost a year. "Oh," the Headmaster said pleasantly, "Jeremy Tyler. I had heard you were making quite a come back recently, but I wasn't sure if we'd meet again. I think the last time I saw you, you were throwing Remembralls at the Count in Triangle Tunnel."
He chuckled a bit, and heard the boy out on what he had to ask of him. It was another surprise, though Talon couldn't dare say he didn't appreciate it. "Aha!" The Headmaster voiced his emotions, "An excellent choice, Mr. Tyler, if I do say so myself. The Ministry needs all the help it can get, adult or student..." He reached into his own personal drawers in his desk, which was where he kept the permission slips sent to him by Julius Plutus.
"So let's see here..." He muttered, putting one finger to his lips as he wrote down the necessary information into the permission slip. The pencil moved across the parchment with great haste - not only because Talon was busy, but because he had been longing to write one of these and get the Ministry going. Having written in everything, he put his pencil down and pulled his wand from the inside pocket of his purple robes and pushed point first into the slip.
He held it out to the boy, "There you go, Mr. Tyler, you may fill in what office you are applying for yourself."
Full Name: Jeremy Tyler Age: 15 Firefox Year: 5th House: Gryffindor Office You Desire to Intern with: ______ Permission from a Firefox Professor: Talon Windwaltz [insert seal of Firefox University here]
Jeremy nearly chuckled when he was reminded about his own actions during the Triangle Tunnel. How much he had learned after that event, and how many different things he would of done besides throw a Remembrall at the Count. How ineffective it was is laughable, and the fact that Count Scorpious didn't do away with Jeremy was shocking, well at least to Jeremy. That whole experience was scary, but it taught the blond a lot.
"Thank you Mr. Windwaltz," the Gryffindor said, as he took the permission slip from Talon's hand. He quickly glanced at it, to make sure everything was correct, which it was.
Jeremy wasn't sure what office he would choose yet, he just felt that he would join the office most needing of help. "I'll be filling out what office I want to apply for later, after thinking about it some more," quietly said the boy. He turned around and started for the door that he had came in through.
Nearing the door, he quickly turned around to face the Headmaster once more, and said, "Again, thank you. I hope I wasn't a bother." He turned around again and opened the door. He stepped into the hall, and gently closed the door, trying not to make a loud noise. That was easy enough, he thought to himself, as he made his way through the hall.
