An MLE agent in Drakborough Village had just received news of a grave occurrence in Triangle Tunnel: the Society of Shadows had appeared in the Ministry Mansion, Count Scorpius himself back from the dead and at the helm. Neither Forbes nor Plutus were there yet, and this particular agent had an inkling that it would take Windwaltz to try save the Ministry building from being destroyed... again...
Thus the agent ran to a painting in his office of a bullfighter.
"Quick. Go to the castle and tell Windwaltz that Count Scorpius is attacking the Ministry," said the agent.
The painting nodded and zipped away. It soon made its way to Firefox University, traveling to the Headmaster's office.
"Señor Windwaltz! Please! The Ministry of Magic is under attack. He's in the Tunnel," announced the bullfighter, loud enough to alert other paintings. The entire castle would probably know within ten minutes. "They need your help, señor. Please, come quick!"
-Julius William Plutus- Minister Plenipotentiary of the I.C.W. to Spain

Talon had gotten a hold of the copy of the 'Iberian Augur', a paper that had been in circulation before the Headmaster himself had first arrived on the peninsula. According to the Letter from the Editor, it had been partially his fault, as well as that of the vile Count, that it had been shut down in the first place. He was pleased to see that the power of the written word had returned to Iberia, as it reflected the resurrection of common life after the War of the Shadows.
What surprised him, however, was that the press seemed to endorse Julius Plutus's ministry. While the Headmaster was definitely a strong supporter of the Confederacy's decision to place someone at the head of an otherwise lawless wizarding region, most of the natives - such as his Potions teacher, Melia Birchheel - chose not to agree with him. If this Senor Tybalt had similar beliefs, perhaps he was simply kissing up to the government for the galleons?
After all, a paper had to get some money.
Suddenly, there was a loud commotion throughout the top floor of the Palace. The other Fortress Headmasters stirred in their frames, gazing back and forth with surprise as the quiet peace of the hallway was broken by the intrusion of the Matador. It finally reached Talon's office, pushing aside a picture of the Headmaster in his younger days and his four teenage friends. It called out to him, telling him that the Triangle Tunnel was in danger, and that he was there.
He meaning only one person. The Headmaster growled quietly.

The news in the wizarding world of Spain was far from dull, especially lately. Disappearing students. Lycan problems. Ministry tyranny. Dark Marks and Shadows. Bad weather, most likely induced by dark magical happenings. Rumors of bad things. The only thing that made certain rumors even better to read about is when truth was put to them.
So Calvin Tybalt, being the audacious and wily media wizard that he was, had eyes and ears keeping out for truth behind the rumors. Was Julius Plutus really a madman trying to become dictator of Iberia? Had Talon Windwaltz really lost his marbles? Were the Spanish Familias planning rebellion against the Ministry of Magic? Was the Dark Lord really back? Did it really take six thousand licks to get to the center of a Magical Conundrum Lollipop?
To answer all these questions, the editor-in-chief o the Iberian Augur utilized paintings to get into places that he could not perhaps poke his nose in. Given the massive amount of artwork at Firefox University, having one or two canvased friends was not too difficult to obtain. Thus, as Calvin Tybalt sat in his little Drakborough Office smoking a cigar and going through some stories for the next edition of the newspaper late at night, it was not too much of a surprise that the painting of an open field, where the ancient founder of the Augur usually sat snapping pictures, arrived from visiting an old friend of his in Firefox.
"Calvin, you're going to love this," began the painted man.
Within a few moments Calvin Tybalt was gone from his office, his camera and Quick-Quills Notepad with him.
