Corrine was happy that she had thought of this. A club for dueling. If she could make one, she would have something to do here. She had mulled the thought for a few days, and left notes in the seats of a few choice students. She found one that liked to make stuff up, and try to improve things. He seemed like someone she could trust to actually think of new spells when she got bored of it. She also noticed someone who looked like they would make a real good paper-pusher. If she let that person do the paperwork, there wouldn't be much left for her, except to sit and watch people duel. Now THAT wouldn't get boring very easily.
Aside from these people, one of whom she knew would be interested, the other she couldn't read, she had gathered a host of reasons why the headmaster should let her start the club, included in which the recent events like the takeover of the tunnel. She was ready to explain the workings to Talon, but first she had to go see him, and so she had set off toward his office. Even as she thought of this, she arrived, and found herself unexpected right at the door. After a moment to gather back up her awareness, she knocked on the door, hoping that those two would show up.

((OOC: The Godmode of the note is by permission.))
BIC: Felix had just returned to his dorm room after breakfast, the day after the End of the Year celebration. It was a wonderful feast and Felix very much enjoyed it, as well as the slightly shocking fact that he had been made Prefect of Gryffindor. Felix had felt as happy as he had in a while. Morgan was awake, Felix could smile again. The year was over and Felix’s accomplishments were well over what he could ever imagine. He would have been happy for just being alive and now here he was getting a shiny badge, which meant that Felix actually was supposes to be responsible now.
Going through his robes pockets to find the shiny badge he had placed in the endless void, Felix came across the single piece of paper from Professor Corrine Blackbourne. She had placed it on Felix’s chair a day or two ago and Felix had simply pushed it into the dark void never to be seen again. Blackbourne was a strict teacher who took a lot of stuff too seriously, yet still Felix learned from her. Not exactly ‘learned’, more enjoyed hearing the stuff he already knew repeated from a adults mouth.
The note, which Felix unfolded to read, informed him that the Professor was planning on starting a dueling club, not like the one that insane screaming midget had ‘started’. Felix had been intrigued by the idea, but actually never dueled much seeing how he was sure to be shunned for his unconventional spells and he probably knocked himself out somehow half the time. Felix had expressed interest in the idea thought.
The note continued to invite Felix to join, and then the Professor expressed a need for someone “…with good foresight and imagination…” to be the clubs President. It was written in a cryptic manner, and Felix also realized when she mentioned how he was good with paperwork that all the requirements fit Felix, but in the end Felix was still quite shocked when Professor Blackbourne asked Felix to be the President. Felix, a President of a Dueling Club.
Felix’s first impression was absolutely not, Felix couldn’t even cast half the spells properly that a dueler had to do. It wasn’t a matter of properly, simply lack of power. He was thirteen! What did he know about being a President of a club? What did Felix know about being a Prefect too?
After much consideration of about three seconds, Felix decided to accept.
Cleaning off a unfortunate splatter of food on his robes from the Feast, Felix placed the Prefect badge with the large ‘P’ on his shirt and left his dorm at the appointed time, to meet Blackbourne at Windwaltz Office. As he rounded the corner, he smiled at the Professor who was wait at the door.

Talon wasn't in his office that day, which explained the long wait that followed Corinne and Felix's arrival at the Phoenix Statue. However, lucky for them, the Headmaster was heading back up around when they came by. He approached the door, passing the portraits of old Headmasters and Headmistresses who stared at him with both pride and contempt.
Noticing the two of them standing outside his door, he raised an eyebrow. This was the second time this week that Felix had come to his office, and this time he was accompanied by a Professor. The newest Gryffindor Prefect wasn't in trouble, was he? Not right after he'd been given his new position!
"Is something the matter, Professor Blackbourne?" Talon said, his voice filled with curiosity.

"Ah, just the man I was looking for. I was thinking, recently, you see, and I wondered. Times are rather difficult, what with all the goings on in the outside world. What would you say to teaching our students to defend themselves? I've already picked out someone that I think might enjoy the work involved with being the president of a dueling club. I have him right here. Mr. Genero seems just the man, er, boy for the job. Don't you think so?"
Corrine was smiling, and pulled out a small piece of paper, obviously a flyer, with the club's name and flashing stars on it. "What do you think, Mr. Windwaltz? I value your opinion on this matter. Well, even if I wasn't forced to, I would anyways. So... What do you think?"
