This place is more grand than Nostri Magi, though Muryllis.. then again, there was more space here, unlike the crowded streets of the Vatican; they didn't have to hide the place in an alley.
It was an interesting feeling, being sent to this new school. He wouldn't have to worry about the Vatican people fearing spellcasters anymore, nor would he have to put up with those rich, stuck-up losers who studied with him, as simlar as they were. Muryllis compared himself to the others in the place; he had the same robes, the same bags of books.. his deep brown eyes, his tall figure, and his black hair, neck length and tied back in a pony tail, didn't seem to stand out among this group of people. They were here, after all, for the same purpose: to study magic.
I hope they at least teach things better at this school, he thought. Back in Nostri Magi, we could never try any of the more interesting incantations, for fear of the people finding out about their existance...

She hated it here. No, she loathed it here. It was a feeling beyond loathing- hell, was that even possible? Before she'd come to Firefox, she didn't think it was. But now... she wasn't so sure. Things were so different here. Maybe it wasn't good or bad, but it was definitly different. And if Faye hated anything, she hated change most of all. Somehow, she'd pull through. Maybe she could go back to visit Magic Horizons sometime. Or maybe she wouldn't want to go back. Maybe, over time, she'd adjust.
'Wishful thinking, girl...' She thought to herself as she quickly ran down the stairs and into the entrance hall. 'You know that things take time. Rome wasn't built in a day, and you'll probably continue to hate this place until you try finding something good about it. Didn't Roan mention a river somewhere around here? Maybe that's where you should go.' She had all the things for a meal by the river. Before she'd left the common room, she'd packed a small sandwich into her shoulder bag, as well as her wand and a small blanket. And, for once, the weather outside was beautiful. Cold, but still beautiful.
Humming quietly to herself, she strutted along with considerable adittude. Today would be a good day. A good day. And nothing could change that. Nothing but accidently slamming into a random girl standing in the hallway, looking around in that awestruck way that most newbies looked. They all had the same face; that weird sense of... whoaaaaa, this is so neaaaaat. Psh. She sure the hell didn't think so. But hey..
"Won't you watch where you're standing?" She muttered after falling back nastily on her butt. The marble floor had come up to meet her quicker than she'd expected- damn, running into that girl was like running into a brick wall. She sure was muscular. Wait, it wasn't a girl... it was a boy. Just great. Now she felt like a moron as well. If it were a girl, she at least wouldn't feel guilty about slamming right into him. Girls got over things- guys always tended to remember.

Muryllis felt himself being knocked into by a figure about a head shorter than himself. He staggered, then, recovering himself, saw a girl sitting in a heap of robes and bookbag contents. He bent over to help her up. "Sorry about that," he said briskly.
At first she raised one eyebrow- jeez, chivalry had died at least a century ago. But she still had to admit that it was terribly cute. What else could she say? No, get the hell off me? Nah. That'd be rude. Plus, if he wanted to help her with her stuff, then why not let him? Sighing, she got to her feet and carefully stuffed everything back into her bag. Thankfully, her bologna and cheese sandwich hadn't been crushed. That boy would have been so screwed if he'd crushed her sandwich. She'd do so much more than knock into him.
"Well, you shouldn't have just been standing there." She replied, slinging her bag back over her shoulder. "This place is nice, but not that great. So don't stare like it's Notre Dame or something, 'cause trust me, I don't think it is."
Muryllis grinned as he checked to make sure everything of his was still there - it was. Those petty thieves back in Rome had given him that annoying, though useful, habit. He reached out to brush an enormous ball of dust that caught his eye as the girl was getting her books together. Magnus annus erit..
"Soo.." he began, trying to start a conversation before this angry-looking girl did something to him that he definately wouldn't like, "how long have you been here?"

This one just didn't give up, did he? She didn't have all day. After all, she had something very important to do... something that, as of right now, she couldn't remember. But she could come up with something good, right? Like.... that she had a class to get to. Ohh, that would work out well. She didn't even know where her classes were. If she just wandered away, she'd be likely to wind up getting lost. All because of a random boy. Note to self- take a different way out next time. She'd be less likely to run into clueless, however nice but nameless boys.
"Only a few days." She said with a quick shrug, passing right by him and making for the door. "I assume you've only been here for a few minutes, judging by that lovely, yet clueless, look on your face. And my name's Faye, incase you need to tell all your friends about the weird girl who bumped into you."
"Well, yes.. My name's Muryllis, by the way," he said. Seeing that the girl - Faye, was already leaving, he turned and walked down the hall. This place is amazing...
Feeling the urge to stop gazing pointlessly (cluelessly, as the girl had said) around himself, he decided to go and do something worthwhile - see what the school looked like. He hadn't been given his class lists yet, so he might as well make use of the free time to, at least, do something pointless. Nice painting...
Suddenly, she stopped and blinked. What was she doing? Just changing schools didn't mean that she had to become a cruel and heartless person. He was new, she was new.... couldn't they all just get along? It didn't really matter. Muryllis. She'd have to remember that if she ever wanted to yell his name across a classroom or something like that. She wasn't all that great with names, but she was usually better with faces. And she didn't meet all that many guys with ponytails. Other than Dante, she'd never even met a boy with long hair like that. Most guys tended to veer towards the more conservative side of things.
"Grrr." She growled, taking her hand off the doorknob and following him. "I'm sorry. I was being so rude. Why don't you come with me down to the river? I've only got one sandwich, but I can share if you like bologna."
Be nice, be nice, be nice... Whew. She was being nice. Lately it seemed to be so much of a challenge. Maybe she was turning into a Slytherin or something. It was a good thing that they only made you get sorted once... otherwise she might not be fit to be in Hufflepuff anymore.
Is that a ship's mast or a tree.. Muryllis thought to himself, gazing at a painting hung high up on the wall. He heard the voice, kinder this time, behind him. He spun around, raising an eyebrow at this sudden change in the girl.
"Bah, it's ok; a change as great as this is never easy. Don't worry about the sandwich, I just ate," he said, eyeing Faye with renewed interest. "Lead on, I don't know these grounds as well as you do."
Hah. Like she actually knew the grounds well... that was a definite no. She only had a vauge idea of where the river was, but was she actually going to tell him that? No. Probably not. Instead she just smiled a little, rocking backwards on her heels and then turning back towards the door. Hopefully he actually trusted her... for all he knew, she could lead him right into that crazy forest or something equally as weird. She could practically get him killed. But she wasn't mean like that. She was being nice, remember.
"Sure." She said, flinging open the door and letting in a blast of cold air. "You'd just better hope that I'm not just pretending to know where I'm going." She said that jokingly, of course, when it was actually pretty close to the truth.
