“Excuse me, excuse me..” Shiori called, moving from on random student to another. But each time he approached one they took one look at him and scurried off. He had finally made into the school having spent the night before in an inn in the nearby town, too tired from the eventful day at the lake and chasing Oni to try to find his way around the school. But now he was back at the arch, which at first he thought had been the victim of some student’s detructive prank, but apparently it’s supposed to look like that. He was back where he started after having gone in several large circles trying to find his common room, and as he set his trunk and Oni’s carrying case down intent on searching for his map of the school and grounds some weird floppy eared gremlin had popped in and stolen it! And to top it off no one would help him.
“Get away weirdo, and buy a mirror you look like a friggin clown!” A girl snarled at him as he asked for help in finding his possessions causing him to look down at himself. He didn’t see anything wrong with his outfit, it was a rather tame one in comparison to his other outfits. He wore neon green leggings tucked into purple converse boots with rainbow colored laces, a banana yellow shirt that said ‘Not Guilty By Reason Of Celebrity’ in flashing pink letters, and fuzzy brown bear ears on his shaggy locks.
M’not a clown, dunno what she’s talking about. He thought to himself as he looked back up only to scowl when he realized the girl was gone and the hall was empty apart from himself. Shiori stomped his foot in frustration before sweeping Oni into his arms and pressing his face against the tiny body. A loud squawk echoed through the hall as the chicken struggled to free himself getting his feathers ruffled in the process. When Shiori finally set him back down he boc-ed indignantly pecking threateningly at the boy’s feet, only to have a hand pat his feathery head.
“This isn’t how it was supposed to go..” he mumbled to himself, sighing dejectedly. He had pictured this grand adventure and so far it had been going great, but it just didn’t last. He had imagined getting to his great new school, meeting a lot of nice cool new people, and having a lot of fun. But it seemed like the people here were just as mean and judgmental as the people from the muggle school he had been forced to attend for several weeks until the new term at FFU started. He could feel his eyes starting to water but he blinked back the tears, he refused to cry because some stupid girl with stupid normal clothes was a jerk to him.
“I’ll just have to find someone else who might be able to help..” he said to himself, head bouncing in a determined fashion as he rubbed a hand across his eyes. Putting on a cheerful smile he swiped Oni from the floor determined to get someone to help him, with another nod he turned on his heel heading back around the corner only to crash into something solid..
