Twas the day before Gradutation and all through the arch...
Such a late transfer might have upset some schools, but FFU was always a very accepting place. For that, Ripley was thankful. She dropped her trunk, and looked around the place. It was big, that's for sure. It was also, somehow, less polished than the other bits of the castle. She shrugged and continued inside, where it was also big and castle-y.
Chewing on her nails, she looked the picture of nervousness. Her bright brown eyes looked worried. Her hand that wasn't being chewed on was plucking at her skirt. It seemed that every fear about going to a new school was written right across her face. What if this place is abandoned, and this is a terrible joke someone played on me? What if, if it isn't abandoned, it's full of people who will hate me?
As she pondered her paranoid possibilities, her body plopped itself down on her trunk. She had half a mind to just leave and not come back.
OOC: sorry it's short, this is my first post in like...a year.

Twas in the shadow of summer with cicadas that chirp, with prespiration aparant through opened robes and shirts. The sun was a-blazing, and the kids were all racing, to the halls of ceremonies to be held. The season was here, and the halls flowed with cheer, of beginnings and ends within reach.
Another newcomer student had arrived, though he hardly was new to these grounds. He had been the host of his own personal masquerade for months, off and on, blending in with the student population to gain access to the library. For all the research he had done, his magical ability was still but a notch above mediocre. Barely able to fly a few hundred metres on broomstick before crashing and burning, it was a reflection upon the rest of his abilities as a wizard. He had hardly a ghost of a presence of magic in his blood, and it was all due to a solitary direct decendant of wizardry in his family.
Samuel Eelem Nanten was ready for orientation, he had barely been able to sleep at all the night before. He usually was cool enough to not find himself frazzled or in a hurry, but he just couldn't maintain that level-headedness today. He had his wand, a broad notebook of parchment for notes, his class schedule.... his thoughts were jarred from his student stuffs when he bumped shoulders with a student passing by. Not stopping his stride, he turned (while continuing to walk backward in the direction he was going) to offer a hastened "Sorry, excuse me!"
He never made it to 'me', however, as the backs of his knees bumped into a large object, likely a trunk, and he toppled backwards over it. Rubbing the back of his head, his eyes slowly released themselves from the pain of his impact. This was gonna be a rough start to a big day for him, it seemed. He looked up, seeing the owner of the trunk as she sat upon it. She also seemed to be the owner of a variety of charming feminine features, from light brown luminous eyes to a fair complexion of skin, even her clothes were.....well, cute.
Pushing himself up to a sitting postion, he gave a small chuckle and pushed his glasses back to a straight position on the bridge of his nose.
"Afternoon. I guess you're new here too? I'm Sam."
