Honestly, I put this down in the planner/gameplan thing, but I dunno if it is really necessary? I feel like a lot of this stuff we have gone over a bunch over the course of other planning. Still, let us make sure we have everything down.
So, ignoring most of school politics, are we content with the idea that everyone who is in the academy does so under sponsorship of a house and anything positive or negative they do reflects upon their house? We would have a tally and at the end of each period of time (I'm thinking month, maybe two?) a "winner" is determined and good stuff happens.
-I would say that active members of the winning house get an RP bonus based on how much influence their house accumulated (maybe 1 RP per 10 influence?).
-In addition, the winning house's current leader now leads the arcane council.
-The two students who contributed the most to their house (regardless of which house won) get something. I dunno about "head boy/girl" things, since I dunno what their actual function in society/the school would be.
-Something with prefects (again, we would need to define their function and title before determining how they get chosen)?
As for gaining influence, I was thinking of it in this sorta format:
Negative stuff (IC):
Minor offense- 5 influence?
Moderate offense- 10-25 influence?
Severe offense- 50-100 influence?
(maybe just 15 for moderate and 50 for severe, for each person participating- also would be good to have examples of offenses for each category)
Positive stuff (IC):
Major plot participation: 25
Independent assignment: 5
Assigned assignment: 10
Bounty/Task board(maybe posted in the town square?): (variable)
(as you can see, severe offenses quickly outweigh positive stuff. People tend to remember wrongs more readily than they remember nice stuff)
Positive stuff (OOC):
Advertising rewards: (variable?)
Other helpful stuff? (variable?)
EDIT: Also, I figure negative influence would be calculated the moment the offense is discovered/perpetrator is caught, while positive ones would only been taken into account after the thread is finished.
