"Heart of the Forest" should be fine. I suppose the lycans can just refer to the place as home. Bagley-Aldaine Manor is my first pick for the vampire's place, too.
-I think fae should create the mythology since otherwise we'd have thought-creations running around. Spreading rumors among the citizens could create monsters in themselves.
-Looks fine. The missing parts of the names can be lost to history.
For the waterfall, I suppose everything depends on how much water is being rained down and how much is sliding off the edge. It'll take a lot of rain to get that much output, unless our falls are more like a stream. Even on land, water flows from one place to another. Up there, it just flows... off. I think it's fun to just leave it as a mystery.
EDIT: Regarding the firmament thing, maybe we could just leave rain as rain? We could still have stars and maybe a funny number of moons, but it can all be summed up to mystery. No one will be going up there. I don't see why this place could not have an outer space.

It flows off...onto the surface. And the rain falls down onto the mountains, and the ice melts and flows down into the river, which flows into the lake, which flows down to the waterfall. The waterfall isn't just flowing off into oblivion, it's flowing down into Faeland. The water in a river ultimately reaches 'the sea,' so imagine the falls as the sea, basically. I'm really not sure what the mystery is.
When I said that 'whether we created mythology or the Fae created it' is to say whether archetypes, tropes, and storytelling that have developed over millennia ultimately crafted Faerie. It's literally a world made from miracles and imagination. The Fae are manifestations of storytelling and legend. It wouldn't be enough to just spread rumors to create thought-monsters, it would have to be a rumor that has persisted for thousands and thousands of years and remained firmly a part of tradition.
I like to imagine it's both. We (in the real world, through our storytelling) created the Fae, and, after they became real, enforced their own existence by stealing us and making us into the monsters of our stories.

No reason there isn't a particular Fae who can 'pull' nightmares and rumors from people living in Faerie's minds and make baby Fae out of them. Fae can do just about anything in their own realm, as long as there is powerful magic to stop them.
1) Arcadia City a) Firefox University -Classrooms -Arcane Council b) Grand Library c) Housing district d) Merchant District e) City Square f) Arcadia Undercity -Dungeons g) City Walls h) Cemetery i) Shining Lake j) Dueling grounds

3) Faerie a) Faelight Forest b) Magic Horizons Ruins
That's what I'm looking at as the probably list for boards. Still not 100% on the super plain "plains" board or some of the more generic things like "back alleys". Did I miss anything, or is there anything else people wanna add?
1) Arcadia City - YOU GONNA BE AN URBANITE AIGHT a) Firefox University - COME GET YO FREE MAGIC EDUMACATION -Classrooms - YOU GONNA LEARN -Arcane Council - YOU GONNA VOTE b) Grand Library - YOU GONNA READ c) Housing district - YOU GONNA DO VARIOUS ACTIVITES IN BEDS IN FADE TO BLACKS d) Merchant District - YOU GONNA SHOP e) City Square - YOU GONNA LOITER f) Arcadia Undercity - YOU GONNA GET ROBBED -Dungeons - YOU GONNA ROT g) City Walls - YOU GONNA STARE OUT INTROSPECTIVELY AND DEEP LIKE SHIT h) Cemetery - THEY GONNA ROT i) Shining Lake - YOU GONNA SWIM (AND TRICK SEXY PEOPLE INTO CPR) j) Dueling grounds - YOU GONNA DIE BUT NOT REALLY

3) Faerie - YOU DEFINITELY GONNA GET KILLED a) Faelight Forest - YOU GONNA GET KILLED AROUND PRETTIER TREES b) Magic Horizons Ruins - YOU GONNA LEARN FROM THE FOLLIES OF FOOLS
I haven't read any of the board's actual purposes.
Also are we really going to have 27 boards? Like even with 30 people posting once a day that's only getting us like 3 posts a board a month. Could we at least cut it down to like 20? My personal suggestion (Though again, I've read nothing of this and know nothing of the purposes of these boards): Scrap the shining lake and falls, just make it part of the description that the river starts in the mountains, has a lake near the city, then twists its way to falls over the edge. Scrap the graveyard, just mention crypts and graveyards in the undercity description. Scrap the back alleys, people can just say they're in the back alleys in the port, or one of the other 500 districts. Also consolidate the housing, merchant, and city square districts into some "city Center" board. I mean I guess a lot of this is sub boards but I'd still rather keep it simple.

I agree with Protege about cutting down on the number of sub-boards. I think including them in descriptions is just fine. I think we can even consolidate the Diadem Fortress into a fortress on the Island of Shadows without giving it its own board.
I will attempt to write 1-3 sentences of descriptions for each board after I eat lunch.
For reference, we have 26 main boards, 16 sub-boards. So, 42 total. With the 26/42 comparison, I was concerned with having too few with our 19/27. If you guys think we've got plenty of places to post if we cut back a bunch, them I am a-ok with that plan.
-Town square was an immensely popular board, with shops also being moderately popular. I think we could roll them into one, with shops being sub-boards to the Arcadia commons.
-As for also combining the residential district, I still think that should be separate board. The common rooms were one of the more popular boards, enough in my opinion to warrant their own board. Then, we will have the place people live, the place people learn and the place people do everything else.
-Probably right about lake. It was a hugely popular board on FFU, but it seems redundant to have two major bodies of water, especially if they both end up connected.
-Crypts were a moderately popular board on FFU and I think we should leave that one in rather than try to jam it into something else.
-Getting rid of alleys seems reasonable
-I like the idea of keeping Diadem, mainly because I like giving whatever meanie evil person/group decides to be a big bad presence an actual structure to lurk in. IT is more significant than just having a spooky island hang out.
Here is a current revised list:
1) Arcadia City a) Firefox University -Classrooms -Arcane Council b) Grand Library c) Housing district d) Arcadia commons f) The Undercity -Dungeons g) City Walls h) Cemetery j) Dueling grounds
2) Avalon a) Plains b) Twisting River -Endless Falls c) Asphodel Forest -Heart of the forest d) Ravenwood peaks -Bagley-Aldaine Manor e) Drakborough Port f) Broken lands g) Island of Shadows -Diadem Fortress
3) Faerie a) Faelight Forest b) Magic Horizons Ruins

Here is my first attempt. We may want to add some detail to things as we work on the design of the place. I feel like I'm building a written map... Please correct any lore or history that I get mixed up. I decided to keep the cemetery. Although I agree with conglomerating a lot of things, somehow I think I made it even busier than before? Hellllllllllp.
Also, VERY IMPORTANT! I noticed there is no prefects' bath. Maybe we should make like a bath house or something? It's not all that necessary, but the Prefects' Bath was a lot of fun. There is no great dining hall or cafeteria or eating place for magic-loaded food fights either. For now, I will just squeeze them into the housing district and merchant district. We don't have a medical center for anything either, so I'll just push that into the housing district as well for now. If we don't want these, then we can just toss them as we go.
Also, what kind of currency are we going to use here? Just IC generic coins or stones or some fancy kind of paper or what? I imagine a place with this degree of civilization would have graduated from a trade-only lifestyle.
Aaaaaaaand.... Do we want sub-boards for each of the five houses? Since they are so important, I think it would be good to make them into sub-boards in the housing district.
1) Arcadia City a) Firefox University - The school where humans gather to study magic and increase their house's fame. -Classrooms - Students attend lessons and practice magic here. Classrooms vary by description and exist in the depths of the basement and reach up to the middle towers. -Arcane Council - The heads of each house meet here to manage Arcadia City. The meeting room exists at the top of the tallest tower and overlooks all of Arcadia and even into Avalon beyond. It is filled with luxury suitable to those of their elite status. b) Grand Library - This elaborate three-story public library was built out of the wishes of Arcadia's founders. It is loaded with books, scrolls, and papyrus from all the civilizations the humans have managed to collect them from as well as arcane lore written by the human survivors here. Anyone who damages the library while practicing magic will have to pay a fine and will be banned from the library for a specified period of time. c) Housing District - Humans reside here in their homes ranging from the middle of the city, where the wealthiest reside, to the outskirts, where the poorer residents may live in their humble homes. The wealthiest areas are grouped according to houses, but many poorer people live outside of them, farthest away from the city square and merchant district. -House Cobalt - The houses in this district have the most spontaneous and intriguing designs of all of the houses. -House Windwaltz - These houses have more traditional Western designs from Earth. -House Halifirien - These houses stand humbly without extremes. -House Muryllis - These houses are built with several stories in mind and are treated as apartment homes rather than houses. -House Marina - These cleverly-crafted houses have a more oriental design. -Bath House - Although the noble house districts have their own personal bathing rooms, they are all out-classed by this popular and luxuriant bath house. It costs a pretty penny to enter. -Lardale Hospital/Schmitt Health Center (name help plz) - Medical staff treat physical, mental, and magical illness here. The inpatients rest on the second floor, the office and outpatients are on the ground floor, and medical documentation is kept private deep in the basement. d) Merchant District - Folk come from all over to trade, sell wares, or even make illicit deals. This is a hot spot for buying groceries or purchasing a fresh lunch between classes. e) City Square - At the center of the city, people pass through here to see news and requests on bulletin boards. A statue of the five archmasters from ages past decorates the utmost center and includes a man with spiky hair, a woman, a mouse-like young man, a warrior, and a man with long hair and waving robes. The individual identities of each figure and which archmaster each one is have been lost to time and are an object of great debate. f) Arcadia Underground - The most abjectly impoverished humans--and some things that may not be quite human--survive here under difficult conditions. The lighting is dark, and, except for the pimps, no one is keeping tract of who goes missing... Rumor has it that illicit activity, including the horrid act of necromancy, may occur in its depths... -Dungeons - Criminals sit out their punishments here. Fortunately for them, the living conditions here are still superior to the raw underground, so the most residents may commit a crime to be admitted here and get a bite to eat. g) City Walls - Three-story walls may sound excessive for measly humans, but the guards here must defend the citizens against abominations. h) Cemetery - The dead meet their final resting place. Since the area has been recently vandalized, the number of guards on night watch has been increased. j) Dueling Grounds - These grounds were relocated to the far edge of the city after one too many duels resulted in a house fire.
2) Avalon a) Plains - Many people venture here to collect herbs, farm, or hunt. b) Twisting River - This icy river melts down from the mountains, pulls into the Shining Lake just outside the city, and then continues over the edge of the continent as the Endless Falls. A dam may be closed to contain the water in time of a drought, and a gate exists at the edge of the waterfall to prevent any fools from being washed over the edge into fae land below. c) Asphodel Forest - This inscrutable forest may appear to be inviting for a long walk and picnic until a lycan rips one's head off. Lycans are believed to reside here, deep inside the heart of the forest, but no human has returned to confirm these suspicions. d) Ravenwood Peaks - These cliffs are named after a hero of a war long-forgotten. Although the vantage point here is looks over all of Avalon and is superior to the Arcane Council's, the vampires present are so welcoming of guests that no human investigators have ever returned. -Bagley-Aldaine Manor - An elaborate white Western-styled mansion with dark windows where vampires reside. e) Drakborough Port - Before I try anything over here, why do we even have a port? What is being imported and what is leaving? There is no one on the outside to do trade with other than fae. We could rename the "Merchant District" as "Drakborough Street" and conglomerate them like that. g) Island of Shadows - Located on opposite side of the continent as Arcadia, this broken chunk of continent remains floating in the sky, although it is separated by about 500 meters from the rest of the continent. Since it is so far away and dangerous to explore, little is known about it. Fog coats it, and a spire of ruins known as the Diadem Fortress peaks overhead. Rumors suggest rebels and criminals who escaped Arcadia may reside here.
3) Faerie a) Faelight Forest - An enchanted forest lying a couple of miles below Avalon. Fae lure, kill, or mutate the humans they trap here. b) Magic Horizons Ruins - The ruins of an ancient castle rumored to lie on the edge of the world. The laws of physics are distorted here with an utter lack of gravity pocketed with areas of intense gravity. Water flows upward, and the flow of time is so abnormal that no one has been able to report what lies beyond.
EDIT: Az posted just ahead of me, so I put the houses in the housing district rather than their own separate area. I figure most of the human characters will live in the houses, so having a separate housing district sounds a tad redundant.
My point on merging the city district is so that people don't feel the need to be hopping boards if they wander the city. If I take my bae to the market to shop, and then to the city square for a nice dinner, then we retire to the residential area....I'd probably end up doing that all in one thread rather than hopping. Popularity really doesn't matter to me (if we get 20 active topics on one board at a time I will be impressed). We at least need to keep the main boards minimized, and I also feel broad enough to be used regularly. Ideally I feel we want every main board to have some activity on it once a month. I guess with sub-boards we can achieve that but I still don't like when I have to debate between keeping a thread going in one place or splitting it because we move.
Also I agree with Teagan on the port, I figured it was something I hadn't read, but yeah, WHY THE HELL DO WE HAVE A PORT. Do we have skyships to get off the island? I figured we'd just have magic for that.
-I feel like just assuming that in an entire landmass the size of a state, we only have a single solitary group of people living in one city is kinda odd. I think, in my mind (admittedly I didn't put it that was in my hasty paintmap), that Drakborough was across the landmass, near the edge where the Endless falls are located. I figured there are prolly small human settlements and such dotting the countryside, in particular near the main source of water. Most of the magical talent would be centered on the academy and in Arcadia, so while people might have some magic, it isn't like people can just do everything on magic alone, thus the major river would be a valuable source of shipping things around. Even if people could, say, carry enough lumber to build a house with magic and fly it around, it would probably be less physically and mentally taxing to just use a little magic to lift it up and set it on a boat and let the current do the rest of the work.
Even further, people have to get to Avalon somehow. They don't get lost in Faerie, see a floating island off in the sky and just launch themselves into the air and fly there (I mean, some might, but that's hardly going to be the majority). I figure there would be a staging point near the edge of the island for any expedition to Faerie below, be it to send a rescue party to find some new lost soul one of the oracles back in Arcadia saw arriving or some adventuring group heading to the Magic Horizons ruins to scavenge some lost relics or something.
-While I still think residential district is significant enough to be a seperate board, I am less inclined to think we need to then give it seven sub-boards. XD
-I do like the idea of adding in a hospital/medical area.
-I kinda assumed Arcadia Commons would be used as eating/shopping type area.

I was wondering about farming. We can include the settlements and farmlands in the description of the plains.
Going by that description, it sounds like a port would be used infrequently enough that those involved could just set up a temporary port at the most convenient location for them each time. I don't see a board specifically for that getting used often. It would only be used very briefly for plot stuff, and that could easily be conglomerated in other threads. Characters could even set one up in the edges of the plains or the river if they specifically wanted a thread for that.
I also think seven sub-boards is excessive, so heellllllllllp.... Maybe we can just pin a description of the boards in a locked thread at the top of the residential district instead of separating them into each sub-board house?
The descriptions I wrote were before you posted anything about the Arcadia Commons. There is already a merchant board for shopping. We could merge those two boards, toss the port board, and call it the Drakborough Commons or Drakborough Street.
I mean, I figured a large town on the edge of the island along the largest river with a straight shot back to the capital would prolly be used daily. Also, on the idea of having a big gate or something that allows the endless falls to flow through while still stopping idiots from falling off the world, I figure someone would have to maintain it. Why not the second biggest pocket of human civilization on the continent? Could also mean the town straddles the river.
Mainly, I liked the idea of having a human habitation type board that isn't just a major city. Having a secondary, smaller town-type setting seems a great place for people to post in.
