"..and that's why we have a Dueling Field, now, rather than a proper Dueling Hall like some of the more popular wizarding school alternatives." Aubrey paused for breath, almost disappointed as they reached the top of the stairwell that led up to the Ravenclaw common room. She rarely got a chance to teach anyone, and if there was one thing she enjoyed, it was showing what she knew. "Well, here we are." She nodded to the painting, smiling as the eagle within the frame turned its head to the side and eyed them, specifically Jaime.
She glanced around, checking for spies, and leaned in before whispering the password once to Jaime, and then again to the painting. It swung open, the eagle flapping its wings uncomfortably as he fought to sit still upon his branch, and Aubrey led the way into the common room. It was a comfortable, but practical space, meant just as much for lounging and relaxing as it was for studying and learning. There were luxurious arm chairs, blue and bronze, laying near the currently unlit fireplace, as well as sturdy study seats and tables, both for single person use and group use.
"I hope you'll find it to your tastes." She pointed towards a staircase. "Up there is where the male dorms are. I can show you to yours specifically, if you'd like." She pointed towards another staircase. "Those lead to the girl's. I cannot," she glanced at him for a moment, as if attempting to banish the very thought from his mind, "show you those."
"Do you have any questions?"
